Brian knew why Kris can't give up on his first love. It's very difficult to find someone who knows you better than yourself. Who look at you as if you are their most precious possession. To be loved by someone. And in the industry, they work in, they got no one who genuinely cherish them. The biggest example is Brian himself.
Brian have always been working hard for their band and to encouraging the band mates, while he got the hate of being not as talented as others, being too arrogant to own self. There was a time he got involved in a scandal with a young idol whom he thought only as friend but she had designs for him.
When he denied her feelings, she recorded the scene and posted on internet that he disrespected her of being not beautiful and portrayed as if he was trying to hit her. Because of her manipulating pictures, he got in deep mud, dragging whole band with him. Their manager wanted him to leave the band, but Kris and other members stood strongly by him and exposed the reality of situation.
Though it have passed, but still scars of the horrible past got too deep and he got detached of world and he gave himself to music. Stopped talking to everyone other than his bandmates and few people around. Kris knew of this and that's why never try to leave him alone.
He still remember the day when she left him. The day he found Kris most vulnerable.

'You are here because of long practice hours and genius brain, not because of someone who left you broken.'
'When you all weren't there, she was. She supports me and made me happy.'
'You are saying whatever we did for you was vain?'
'No brother, this is not the case. I- '
'No need to explain. Hope you have better life searching her.'
'Don't leave me like she did.' Kris screamed at top of his voice and started crying in middle of road.
Brian hesitated but put him on his shoulders and carry the crying mess to their dorm.
'Brother, this bandage was what she put day before yesterday on my knee. Remember I fall during dance a month ago. I still used to ask her to tend my injury because it felt good whenever she was near.' Kris kept on blabbering as they reached the dorm.
'Let's work hard and find her after we are successful.' Brian said putting down Kris on his bed.
'You need to work harder for that.'
'Become an international idol. So that even if she is at farthest corner, she came back to you.'
'We need you more than her.'
'These kids are nothing without you.'
After that he went for shower. When Brian came back, he found Kris curled in cocoon and sleeping while holding one of her gifts.
'Hope you get better soon dear. Life is too short to have regrets.' Brian said as he too went to sleep.]
