They looked straight at me and a colourful aura started appearing atop of them, this could either mean they have hidden abilities or they are just enhancing their bodies. I preferred the first over the latter but not all prayers get answered.
The first one took off and was so fast I did not notice him until my body moved to dodge the strike aimed at my face. Another one showed up near my abdomen and I also did not notice them until I was in the air.
"WE GOT YOU YOU STUPID BITCH!" The third one screamed as he came from over me with a sabre pointed at my head. I got trapped, he came crashing down with a gigantic slash.
He still could not even cut the air around me. The officials were stacked in a pyramid and I was across the street. I smile and then shifted my attention towards the injured officer, I bolted over to him. I swung my blade with all my strength at his face, it didn't connect. My body had moved on its own again, I looked back and I saw the officers charging towards me and one of them was unarmed.
I looked to the other side and I saw his sabre still glowing with the aura of the officers. The aura that could cut anything was similar to my ability the only difference is that theirs deepened along with their swordsmanship and they reached their cap very quickly. I did not have to learn any swords styles for my sword to cut my target and there has not been any sign of me reaching a limit with my ability.
To this point, I had never been able to cut these so I wanted to try once again. I jumped at it and slashed it, my blade got cut in half. I guess this meant that they had a much stronger offence than me. Could it be because of their sword skills?
"DIE!" I dodged and a sabre swung past me. I looked back and my eyes met with the officer who had just attacked. I jumped, kicked and a blade appeared on the sole of my shoe. I got mounted into his cheek and ripped it dragging his jaw, ear and hair with it.
The blood did not spill out violently but instead, it looked like a leaky pipe.
"LITTLE SHIT!" His friends screamed as they continued their rushed attacks. Every new one was faster than the last, it felt like the more time they got to move around the stronger they got.
After a light struggle, I managed to put some distance between us. I was panting and fighting for a chance to slow my heart down. I don't like this, I don't like this at all, the feeling of sweat all over my body and the disgusting heat accompanying it. These fools could never lay a hand on me, but if this were to drag out for too long they won't have to.
I looked down the road to Neo, that useless girl was still shaking in fear and not helping again. Anyway, I did not have the time to worry about her and what she was up to. I created two more blades and rushed in, I attacked with everything but none of it worked. The officials were now aware of the fact that I could spawn blades anywhere on my body. That was actually a good thing.
As the officials fought me tirelessly with attempts to keep from getting near them I readied my secret weapon. I can manifest blades anywhere I like, I just choose my body because I like how it feels. But right now I need to show Teddy that I am ready to join his side so I am not going to spare any effort. I am using my ability to its full capability.
Once the official struck I flew back and launched blades that I had manifested in the air. They flew towards them and before they could block them the blades changed direction. These blades were going to keep attacking until they hit their target, get destroyed completely or when I call them back. So I attacked as they kept busy, even if a stray edge chipped off the blade flew towards I knew that it wouldn't hit me.
I finally got an opening and stabbed one official in the eyes and another on his neck. They both fell and my blades went back, I dropped to my knees and tried to catch my breath.
As I was still laying on the ground happy that I managed to defeat the bad men I felt new energy begin to surge and fill the air around me. I peeped through my fingers and saw the first official to go down eating the other official.
It was a bestial scene more barbaric than anything I had even done. His teeth were ripping through the flesh of the still-living officials as they faintly screamed for help. He went through their bodies Sekai did the fridge on a slow day. After bloodying the road he collapsed.
Every sense in my body went off and made me too uncomfortable to stay laying there. I quickly hopped back on my feet and dragged myself away from the dead officials.
That coward Neo saw me limping away and she ran towards me, while she was still running I felt a huge outburst of energy come from the pool of blood.
"RUN FASTER YOU FOOL!" I called out to Neo.
She turned to look behind her, and I screamed even louder. The official's body rose from the ground, I wanted to take off running the opposite way but found myself running towards her.
I grabbed her hand and immediately started to push forward, I felt my body loosen up and become lighter. The pain fatigue came to an end and I was glowing all over. This was her regent, it is like a vitality pump with no limit to it, what made it scarier was that she was able to use it on herself and whenever she healed a person they became stronger.
In theory, it sounds like something you can use to train until you reach the peak but it was not. Although the power boost is permanent for her, for other people it is only a temporary thing. But there are times when it becomes permanent, I have seen it happen only two times in the past few months.
"ROAR!" Screamed the official, we kept running without looking back. He paced himself and leapt so high up and so fast he was in front of us in seconds.
"ROAR!" He screamed in our faces.
I pulled out my blades, it would be suicide to turn my back at this enemy.
