Hey Leo, get your ass to the courtyard quickly, Jason and Reeves are going against Tyler again, he really needs our help". Leo dropped the book in his hands and dashed towards the classroom door from his seat. No way Michael was being paranoid over that kind of matter. "Not those cocky brats again".
Both of the dashed through the school headed for the school courtyard. The school day was already at an end and the hallways were packed with students happy to see another end of school and the beginning of summer break.
A rare sight broke through the heartwarming hugs and goodbye handshakes of the students. "Hey watch it punk" a student shouted out at the two running silhouettes who paid him no attention and were dashing in the opposite direction of the crowd.
Leo was running in full gear, he didn't have the time to bother to apologise for a little grievance. little did he know that their little stunt had gathered the curiosity of a major part of the school.
Leo maneuvered his way through several students and teachers, he never stopped to even give an apology, Eric followed closely behind him as they finally arrived at their destination, the track field.
Upon reaching their target, sweat heaving from their foreheads, the first thing that came into their line of sight was a human figure flying straight at them. Tyler had been flung several meters away and crashed into the duo who had just appeared.
Leo and michael couldn't react in time and Tyler slammed into both of them knocking them down a few feet away. Standing a small distance afar were two burly boys with green flowing hair, both with a height of 6 feet and completely identical faces to the extent that their own parents would have trouble telling them apart.
These two were the eccentric Twin brothers Jason and Reeves Sunshield
Jason's hand was emitting a cold white light Aura, the light started spinning around in a spherical form and sucked the air from the surroundings.
Soon the courtyard temperature dropped and a sinister smile was glued on Jason's face. "Damn it! An ice Powerstone".
The entire courtyard had gathered quite an unprecedented audience, the students who didn't want to go home immediately and just had nothing better to do had assembled a few feet away from the ongoing fight with clear excitement written on their faces.
Tyler spurted out blood from his mouth, he clenched his fists as he looked at his almost frozen left leg, it was completely numb and he could barely move it. "I really didn't expect these idiots to get Powerstones of their own, am such an idiot".
Tyler grunted as his hands held his sides that had taken the full power of Reeves punch leaving him with a few fractured ribs.
Tyler looked different from his original appearance, he had claws on his hands which had started to retract and the scales on his body disappeared as well as he spat out more blood, his Beast power transformation had failed him, a feint smile plastered on his face.
Jason condensed a ball of icy energy in the palm of his hands and hurled it at the the three boys on the floor who had yet to gain their footing, the icy energy blast swirled towards their direction.
Before the blast could hit, a huge fireball collided with the ice swirl and gave out a small explosion. The sunshield brothers as well as all the other students turned their heads to where the direction of the fireball came from.
"Oh my God, its Kayla Bale, she actually came to get involved, I always thought she liked to keep a low profile".
out of the crowd, walked a stunning blonde beauty, wearing a miniskirt and a blue blouse, her fiery red yellow eyes perfectly resonated with the flaming ball in her hand.
she stepped out of the crowd and stopped in between the two parties facing the Sunshield brothers.
"Kayla, don't tell me that you actually want to get involved with this, you wanna stand up for that freeloader after that incident" Jason pointed at Leo who had gotten up helping Tyler to stand straight.
"This doesn't concern you so how about you...." before Jason could finish his sentence, Kayla had already interrupted him by throwing
the fireball in her hands.
"Shit! Jason bent down and put both arms on the ground to form a rapidly rising ice wall, the fire collided with the rising ice and exploded.
BAM.....
The ice exploded upon impact blasting the brothers seven meters away, several pieces of ice as well as the floor flew out in different directions. The collision gave the impression of a heatwave in the middle of winter.
Reeves and Jason crashed into the back wall. By the time Kayla turned around, the trio that she had helped out had disappeared without so much as a thank you.
After the initial shock of the short battle, the crowd quickly dispersed as the fight concluded and everyone moved to their respective homes to enjoy the summer.
The familiar trio didn't waste time as they had already made it out of the school vicinity. "Those darn Sunshields, they get a powerstone and turn into ultimate versions of bullies". Naturally after that kind of fight, they should have taken Tyler to the hospital for his injuries to be treated but the trio knew that Tyler's beast based abilities had a good regenerative abilities.
In mankind's desperate attempts to solve world problems about the rapidly deteriorating planet, a research science group made of the most powerful minds in the world called the GENESIS in search of a more powerful alternate energy source had done the most unfathomable thing in history.
They opened a backdoor to a parallel universe called KAROS. This parallel dimension wasn't occupied by humans, instead it was filled with hostile creatures, demons and monsters of all kinds. Some believed that you could find every single supernatural existence from human folklore if you searched well in Karos.
Naturally, like all first discoveries of mankind, this one without exception was a disaster. Hundreds of backdoors opened up in different areas of the world and monsters poured out of them in torrents. The scientists called these back doors, Gates.
Mankind upon the going head on with the first wave quickly realized that they had a major problem, mankind's most powerful weapons that could destroy countries and split open canyons were actually much less effective against their new enemies.
The tanks had little effect and the bullets would just bounce of the skin turning the trusted gun into a piece of scrap metal as the own soldiers nightmare.
When it seemed like the human race were on the verge of annihilation, the same scientists that had caused the end o the world finally had a breakthrough in the form of Special Ability Stones.
These small special stones grants the humans who could absorb its power turn into super powered freaks who could stand up and fight on equal footing with the monsters from Karos.
"Dudes, did any of you realize that Kayla Bale actually stood up to help us" Michael who had a height of 5 foot 7 inches tall and was the smallest in terms of height and size of the trio, voiced out his thoughts.
"Yeah, who knows what that ice swirl would have son to us if it actually hit"
"But why did she help us? Both Michael and Tyler turned their gaze to Leo, the only one who had actually interacted with her although from the rumors, it wasn't really pleasant.
"Hey Don't look at me like that, I have no idea OK! lets just get outta here". Saying no more words, the Trio walked down the road for a while until Tyler had to split up and go his own way home.
Leo sighed and turned to Michael as they both continued their walk home, not knowing how much their world was about to change.
