After fighting back with the aid of the powerstones, the military had managed to barely secure a foothold on Karos. From there the advanced slowly and managed to improve their technology and studied various kinds of monsters.
The chances were pretty high that the rumor where every single myth and legend on earth could be found on Karos was probably spread by some soldier who liked to gossip
Powerstones and Runestones were the most valuable objects on earth, the former gave the specific abilities while the later gave beast characteristics, both being ability stones. "How I wish I had an ability right now". That was the only thoughts in Leo's head as he dashed through the forest as fast as his leg could carry him.
Michael was in no way lagging behind as he struggled to keep up while maneuvering his way through the trees and bushes. Nevertheless, the brother duo were right on their tail, quickly catching up as Jason shot numerous ice blasts from his hands while Reeves used his physical strength to slam through the smaller trees.

The unfortunate trees were scarred with ice, the chase continued till Leo and Michael came to an abrupt stop, their legs trembling fiercely like they would pee their pants at any moment.
As the Jason stopped chasing, he could see that their backs were drenched in sweat. "Ha..Ha you idiots finally realize it was useless to try and escape, so you want to surrender now" he chuckled waiting for them to start begging.
Much to his surprise, they didn't move but just kept shaking. "You don't have to cower yet, we will make sure you..... "
"Gateeee" Michaels loud scream confused the twins greatly, Michaels finger was raised slowly pointing into the distance with his arms visibly shaking. Following the direction of his finger, the twins saw a swirly black void leaking out immense dark Aura.
"Wait is...sssss that a monster gate". The twins mouthed the same exact words in perfect synchronization, their voices changed from prideful to having a hint of fear.
Roarrrrrrrr.... the loud roar resounding in the forest followed by the sounds of slicing was clearly heard. Michael and Leo turned around instinctively and their eyes grew wide in horror. Reeves head rolled unto the floor, his neck burst out blood like a fountain.
Standing behind him was a seven foot, red bodied humanoid beast, its body looked like it was completely made out of bones and two sharp saber fangs poked out of its maws.
Its bright blue glowing eyes carried only the trace of death that pierced through their hearts. The monstrous figure opened its large mouth revealing ferocious set of teeth that but down and chomped off half or Reeves muscular body.
The monster let out another loud deafening roar that shook the whole forest. Jason that stood a foot away from Reeves was instantly horrified. This monster had snuck up behind them and they didn't even notice, he took several steps backwards and tripped on a twig. He fell on his but to the floor, the previously majestic white eyes held nothing but fear.
The monster beast shifted its gaze to the terrified Jason and swung its claws that were the full length of Jason's arms. The swinging claw stopped abruptly an inch away from Jason's face, Jason was shivering to the extent he peed his pants.
The bone monster did something completely unexpected, it sniffed the air. Michael and Leo were doing everything within their power to order their legs to move but there was no response. Their muscles had contracted with fear.
Without retracting its claws, it turned its head around at Leo and Michael standing a few feet away, its death like gaze made them subconsciously take several steps backward in pure fright
"Son of Shadow" The deep growl like voice echoed in Leo's head. "Did that thing just talk?" Leo questioned himself in his head, "It said words without speaking, am I hallucinating from the fear right now?"
The Bone monster was observing the like the way a human observes a new plant species with a curious expression, that's right, this monster was curious.
Michael had obviously not heard anything as his legs were still shaking in fear.
"Your kind should be dead" The bone master retracted its claws from Jason's face and the later seeing an opportunity kicked of the ground and ran like a dog with its tail between its legs.
Leo immediately had a been premonition, he shoved the quivering Michael to the side.
"Run"
"Scrueee" the sounds of bones cracking filled the air, Leo looked at his chest that had a finger claw the size of a fist that had pierced right through him and appeared at the other side, the bony figure was right in front of him.
"Noooo" Michael screamed out loud. "Run" Leo shouted again with what little energy he had left, he had already accepted his fate despite the fact that his eyes showed an unwillingness to die.
Large shockwaves filled the air, a military helicopter shone down in the forest with a spotlight, five military officers jumped down from the chopper each on wearing an army uniform. They landed on the ground and the floor beneath their feet broke out into small craters.
"Demon Hunters" that was the last word Leo could breath out, the bone monster threw Leo away with the flick of its wrist. Leo crashed through a free a d flew straight through the black 3 meter tall Gate.
