Chapter 39 - Not an ordinary fight

"You sound angry," The celestial dragon commented, as if it wasn't already an obvious fact, "It was because of the hint that you came here, wasn't it? If it hadn't been for me, would you have been able to find the sword?"

Wang GuiYing couldn't argue with that.

The celestial dragon's help was quite minimal and it seemed as if he had been teasing more than actually helping, however, his hint had still managed to help them so Wang GuiYing couldn't say that the celestial dragon was completely useless.

"But I have to say," The celestial dragon muttered, sounding as if he was thinking about something else more deeply, "Your friend over there is much more impressive than you."

"..."

Wang GuiYing suddenly wondered if he could choke this celestial dragon spirit to death.

"I sense no powers from him and his weapon is also not as impressive as one would think, but he was still able to stop a strike from my sword. That's not something that a normal man can do," The celestial dragon sounded amused as he spoke, "He managed to find the sword without the help of my hint, and that too before you guys even got here."

Wang GuiYing couldn't help but sigh as he heard this since he kinda agreed with the Celestial dragon. Zhihao was still amazing, however, Wang GuiYing was not as impressed as the dragon spirit simply because he knew exactly why Zhihao was able to come here and defeat the celestial sword.

He had cool boyfriend perks!!

His character was specially designed for him with a complete defense mechanism and max attacking power that he could use even in this fourth stage! And it was all because of the gamemaster who was currently standing beside Wang GuiYing and looking at the fight on stage with a proud smile plastered on his face.

"H-How...?!" Zhihao's opponent looked to be a bit horrified when he saw the smirk on Zhihao's face as he waved his arm and sent the man flying a few feet back.

"It's a pity to see you wasting that sword's talent," Zhihao shook his head with disappointment as he commented, "It's no wonder that sword wants you dead."

"Who the hell are you?!" The man shouted and his hold around the sword tightened a bit.

"Your savior," Zhihao beamed as he raised his sword and pointed at the man, "Of course, that is if you give me that sword you're holding."

The man gritted his teeth and looked at the sword for only a second before he glared back at Zhihao.

The sword was a rare item. The only one of its kind.

Although it was cursed, it was still quite special so it was only natural that no player would ever give it up even when faced with their own death.

Zhihao's eyes dangerously narrowed down on the man and his lips curled up in a small sinister smile as he asked, "Do you want to continue?"

The man gulped and felt a shiver run down his spine. His hands were slightly trembling from fear, however, he still refused to let go of the sword.

"I'd rather d-die than give it up...!"

Zhihao's smile deepened as he heard this and he slowly closed his eyes, taking a deep breath in and nodding his head, almost appreciating the man's courage.

Anyone who looked at the scene would think Zhihao was planning on letting the man go, but Wang GuiYing and Li Ling clearly knew the man better than that.

This wasn't the expression of a forgiving saint who was going to take pity on a person and let things go. This was the expression of an amused devil!

"I respect your wishes," Zhihao slowly spoke, his voice sweet and tender, "Then let's kill you first and then take the sword."

"..." The man's eyes widened and his mouth slightly hung open as he heard Zhihao's words but before he could fully process what the man had said, he had already been attacked by a sword that struck down on him as if ready to divide him in half.

The man quickly lifted the celestial sword and saved himself. The two swords struck each other and created a string of lightning.

Zhihao chuckled as he spun around and without even taking a breather, he once again struck down at his opponent.

Wang GuiYing couldn't help but feel a bit of pity for the man going up against Zhihao.

Once again, Zhihao's attack was blocked by the celestial sword.

"Interesting... Very interesting..." The celestial dragon muttered in Wang GuiYing's head.

"Is it really that interesting to see your celestial sword being overpowered like that?"

The celestial dragon laughed as he heard Wang GuiYing's question, "Of course, it's interesting! One master is useless while his sword is legendary. The other has a useless sword but he, himself is legendary. I'm afraid it's my first time enjoying such a battle!"

"Ay~ mortal, tell me. Who should I help?" The celestial dragon asked, almost sounding as if he was teasing Wang GuiYing.

"Mastermo." The answer was quick and it amused the celestial dragon even more.

"But how can that be fun? He's already winning."

"Are you here to help or are you here to have fun?" Wang GuiYing's lips twitched as he closed his eyes and questioned the celestial dragon with a bit of annoyance clearly evident on his face.

"For fun, of course!" The celestial dragon beamed.

"..."

"So let me help that fellow who holds my precious teeth."

"Then let's make a bet," Wang GuiYing confidently spoke with a smirk.

"Hmm?"

"You can help that pitiful fellow but in the end, Mastermo would still win," Wang GuiYing firmly spoke as he challenged the celestial dragon, "If he wins, you'll tell us the location of the next artifact."

"And if he loses?"

"If he loses, I'll become your slave and you can order me to do anything for you."

"Not interesting."

"Huh?"

"If your friend loses then you give me 100 years of your life."

Wang GuiYing's eyebrows creased together as he heard this and he didn't dare give an immediate response.

"Are you afraid?" The celestial dragon asked in a seductive whisper, his words almost mocking and inciting Wang GuiYing.

"Afraid?" Wang GuiYing scoffed, "I'm afraid you won't keep your promise once I win this bet."

The celestial dragon sounded quite pleased to hear this response and laughed as he spoke, "Then it's a deal!"

In the very next moment, the celestial sword looked to have gotten a bit brighter. The aura around it strengthened immensely and even the current wielder of the sword looked to be shocked by this change.

Zhihao side-glanced towards Wang GuiYing and his smile deepened as he understood the situation.

"Looks like I'll have to be quick," Zhihao suddenly took out another sword, identical to the one he was already holding, "If you fear death then let go of the sword and run. If you don't fear death then let me help you cross the yellow river."

As soon as he had finished saying those words, he jumped up onto the man with both swords aiming to slice off the man's head.

The celestial sword blocked both the swords easily, however, the fight seemed to have just started and there was no way it was going to end with this.

Zhihao took a step back and ducked his head, dodging the attack of the celestial sword.

He elbowed the man's stomach and tried to cut off the arm that was holding onto the celestial sword but the celestial sword was faster and immediately blocked off the sword.

"Huh?" Zhihao frowned as he retreated a few steps back.

If he hadn't seen it wrong, he could confidently say that his opponent wasn't going to walk out of this fight with his soul intact.

When the celestial sword had blocked Zhihao's attack, it had completely twisted the wielder's wrist in an unnatural position.

His opponent didn't seem to have realized the pain but Zhihao could clearly see that his wrist had been dislocated and the bones on his hand had been completely broken.

It wasn't his opponent that controlled the sword, it was the sword that controlled the man...!

The man fighting against him had no idea what was going on. All he knew was that he suddenly gained an upper hand in this match and he was clearly quite ecstatic about it.

Zhihao didn't dare hastily attack again.

The celestial sword took this as an opportunity and tried to finish Zhihao off with a single strike that was too fast for the ordinary eye to see.

Wang GuiYing felt his heart stop for a second there. He almost thought he was about to lose the bet.

The sound of a blade cutting through flesh could be heard and when Wang GuiYing looked at Zhihao, the first thing he noticed was the blood that trickled down from Zhihao's lips.

The celestial sword had managed to stab his stomach...

However, it looked like Wang GuiYing had won the bet.
