The minute the explosion went off Olivia fell through the floor as it caved in, trapping her underground.
Alex was clutching his head and ears in pain, as the explosion knocked his senses off. He was looking around trying to get his bearings and trying to get eyes on Olivia. He couldn't see her.
So he focused on his hearing and smell to locate her, however with all the debris and different smells of all the people in the mall as well as his own senses off key he still couldn't locate her. Alex did however locate the group of cloaked men now scrambling to their feet, to get away.
He was about to attack and rip them to shreds when he noticed that many civilians were severely injured maybe even dead. He begrudgingly decided to help the wonder civilians first and than go after the group of cloaked men.
Alex quickly got to work in helping save people.
He made quick work in the surrounding area pulling people free from rubble and getting them in a group to help treat their wounds, without magic he didn't want to bring attention to himself. Well more than he already has.
He lifted some heavy prices of the ceiling trapping some civilians with his bare hands like it was nothing. Shocking all the people he saved as some started to live stream and take photos of what he was doing. He didn't bother with it as he just kept helping people get to safety, soon he had around fifty people. When he started to lead them out of the building just so they were safe, in case some more of the building fell.
Slowly but surely the group led by Alex made there way outside where emergency vehicles were already there, firefighters were running to and from the now destroyed mall putting the fire out and trying to find survivors. Police officers were marking off the area and helping with first aid, while the ambulances we're taking the more gravely injured to the hospital.
News crews and vans were also outside reporting on the incident. Capturing everything.
When A loud boom erupted and echoed from one of the walls and all other emergency crews stopped what they were doing to see if there was another bomb I. the building. To there surprise however a man walked out of the newly formed hole, and not just that he led out fifty injured civilians.
They were shocked, however they were professionals and quickly went into action running over to the injured group to get them first aid and see if anyone was greatly injured. The news reporters got all of this on video and Alex was captured and broadcasted live on all the news channels. The whole world was now watching Alex and his heroic acts, some news stations even took the clips from the live streams of him lifting the huge chunks of debris and building like it was nothing.
The news crews were trying to interview Alex while the officers and medical officials tried to make sure he wasn't injured.
Alex didn't mind them and simply walked back into the burning and collapsing mall to get more survivors. He wanted to help and get everyone that was trapped in the mall to safety, but the real reason was that he wanted to find Olivia. He was trying to use his senses but with all the debris and emergency crews and alarms going off he couldn't focus, that and he was panicking inside whether she was ok or not.
Over the next hour Alex made multiple trips in and out of the destroyed mall saving as many people as he could, but he still couldn't find Olivia anywhere. He was becoming more and more panicked as time went on, he even asked the emergency worker if they found anyone fitting her description, they did not.
That was when it clicked in his mind that the explosion came from underground and maybe some people fell underground and were buried under the rubble, which was why he couldn't find her. So Alex quickly told the firefighters and the police officers that the explosion came from underground and to start looking for people buried.
Everyone quickly got to work and made a tunnel underground, Alex could have easily made one with his sheer strength but didn't want any more questions. He was also still wearing his black over coat which looked more white with all the dust and dirt covering it. So no one knew about his mechanical arms, yet.
Another hour passed and they were able to get underground and looked for survivors, Alex was right as there were a few people severely injured and unconscious. Further down where the explosion took place Olivia lay unconscious her device that made her looked human still worked, but she wasn't moving. The firefighters soon found her and safely put her on a board to carry her out. Outside Alex was pacing back and forth he wanted to go back inside but this time was adamantly stopped by the officials to stay put.
Soon however he got to impatient and was about to go back in when he caught her smell. The smell that he was trying so hard all day to find, he finally found it and it was getting closer to him. He looked at the makeshift tunnel made by the emergency crews and waited in baited breath.
Minutes passed and the firefighters were slowly coming out of the tunnel and the last group carried out a woman on a board, it was Olivia. Alex smelled her than saw her and quickly ran towards where she was pushing through the other firefighters.
"Olivia! Oh my god are you ok?" Alex spoke trying to get an answer from her.
When she didn't answer he became more worried but the firefighters assured him that she was just unconscious and would probably be out for a while.
Alex nodded and just help Olivia's hand not letting go.
Olivia got loaded on an ambulance, Alex was about to get on and go with her when he noticed a commotion over by the police cars and the barrier. It was the group of ten cloaked men aggressively forcing their way through with weapons.
Alex's eyes flashed blue, he was in the mood for a hunt, and he just found the perfect prey.
