As soon as Alex got off the phone he changed into a clean pair of clothes, than ran out the door.
"BAM!"
The door slammed on his way out. However he didn't care as he was already running down the stairwell.
Outside the apartment building Alex thought about hailing a cab, but decided that it would be faster if he instead just ran to his old home instead. Which is what he ended up doing.
"WHOOSH"
Alex took off in the middle of the sidewalk, down the street. He ran through the numerous people walking around the streets with perfect nimbleness. Not hitting a single one as he ran between them. The only thing that the people felt was a strong gust of wind blowing by them.
Alex swerved and flowed through the numerous people with ease, he quickly made his way closer and closer to his destination. His old family home. His parents house.
"Ugh, I feel like I am going to be sick. I'm so nervous."
Alex said as he continued onward.
****
Sitting in a living room, the brown plushy couch up against the wall sat two people older in age. Both had light brown hair that was beginning to sprout grey hairs. Clearly built up from stress.
In the chair next to them fidgeting in the seat, sat Sarah, Alex's sister. This one in fact Alex's home that he grew up in.
His parents were watching the news a few nights ago when the mall attack was broadcasted all over the world. They were shocked beyond belief when Alex popped up on the screen saving people from the collapsed building with ease. However they became even more shocked when the terrorists started to attack the police officers and civilians with guns, and then what looked like magic spells as well.
Once they saw Alex step up and defend everybody and fight the terrorists, both of them almost had a heart attack. However the surprises for that night wouldn't stop there, they saw Alex transform into a beast easily killing all of the terrorists. Even when he took his coat off showing his mechanical arms to the world as well.
This was the final straw for them, they could handle seeing their son alive for the first time in two years. They could handle seeing him save people like a hero, they could even handle seeing him turn into a monster and fight off terrorists. ( They are a very open minded family.)
Both of his parents could not take seeing him so badly hurt, to have his arms completely replaced with mechanical ones.
It was like being struck by a bolt of lightning, seeing those arms brought fourth all of their emotions and stress that they were feeling, came flowing out of them all at once. To them it felt like they could feel all of the pain Alex had been through.
That was when Sarah came home, both of them knew she went to work with a secret government agency and immediately questioned her. Leading to Sarah calling Alex to rush over and fix things with their parents.
Which leads us to the present.
Both parents were nervously waiting to meet there son who had been missing for two years.
"How long has it been. When is that unfilial brat getting here." John, Alex's father said.
"Hush now darling. He'll be here soon." Samantha his mom said.
"TCH!"
John shook his head in annoyance, and then turned his head away from his wife in a pout. That was when a knock resounded from the front door, alerting everyone.
"KNOCK!"
"KNOCK!"
"I'll get it!" Sarah yelled as she jumped up from her seat, and running to the door.
Sarah opens the door to find a slightly winded Alex leaning against the door frame with a scared look on his face. He was also panting a little.
"Oh! Brother you are finally here, great timing."
"Heh thanks. Anyway are they inside, waiting."
Sarah motioned for Alex to come inside, as she stepped aside. Alex made quick steps inside his old house and followed into the family room where his parents were nervously waiting.
Alex walked into the family room and immediately dropped down to his knees ins a bowing position, in front of his parents. Whom had stern looking expressions on their faces, as if they were extremally upset at him. Which they were.
"SORRY!" "I am so sorry! I should have come home first, so you guys wouldn't worry more."
Alex yelled as he tried to beg for forgiveness from his parents ad sister. Though he already got forgiveness from his sister earlier. He was just re-covering all of his bases.
Samantha saw her son drop to his knees and immediately apologize however she didn't care about that at all.
She picked her son up off the ground and embraced him in a giant hug. She didn't say anything, she just wanted to hold him for a while.
"Shhh it's ok baby. Moms here."
"Tch." John snickered and than got up and embraced his wife and son.
Sarah seeing all the family hugging and having a major bonding moment. She didn't want to be left out so she joined in as well.
"Ahh let me get in on this to."
The family stayed like that for a good long while until it became to awkward to continue any longer. They boke the hug and sat down on the sofa and chairs in the family room to talk.
"Where have you been for these past two years? Why didn't you come home? What happened to your arms? Why did you turn into a giant beast?"
Samantha got right into questioning Alex about everything that happened to him. She would not rest if she wasn't able to get suitable answers from him.
Alex took a deep breath, he already mentally prepared himself for what he would have to tell his parents. Now he just had to tell them everything that happened to him. He decided it would be best to tell them everything, without hiding.
"Get comfortable. It's going to be a long story."
