I was locked in that dungeon for who knows how long, and I was ready to spend the rest of my miserable little life in there as well. That was when everything changed, the Demons attacked the capital.
I don't know what spurred their sudden attack, when they were usually on the defensive during all the battles that I had fought. The only thing I cared about at that time was the sight possibility that I would be rescued.
So I waited, it was the only thing that I could do.
I don't know for how long but it felt like a few hours until I heard someone come down the dungeon steps. They were big heavy steps a lot bigger and heavier than any human in full armor good ever make. They were like mini earthquakes.
Emerging from the shadowed doorway stood a huge eight foot tall beast. What I presumed was a he had blue skin goat like feet, massive bulging muscles, red eyes and sharp pointed teeth.
The Demon didn't even fit through the door so it had to break the wall just to be able to fit. He walked over to my cell, well it was the only cell this far down anyways. With a sneer or smile I couldn't tell exactly which he spoke to me, with a very deep voice.
" It's your lucky day HERO. Were getting you out of here."
"..."
I couldn't even say anything back to my rescuer all I did was stare at him. It was like all of the stress that I had built up from the torture and holding in everything finally caught up with me. All I could do was nod my head before passing out onto the cold dirty stone floor.
The next thing I knew was that I was in the Demons territory.
I woke up to unfamiliar surroundings. A big plush bed with a clean room, as well as bandages on my body. It was a startling sight but I was given no time to think as a maid soon walked in to help me.
She had green skin two small horns on her forehead, black braided hair and tattoos on her body. The maid seemed to be an Orc or Ogre but I couldn't tell. She didn't say anything and I never got her name but during my entire stay with the Demons she would take care of me and help me dress every day.
It took a few weeks but eventually my health regained and my body was somewhat healed, there was nothing they could do to help me regrow my arms due to the curse. However the Demon king was very nice and had some dwarves make my mechanical arms which even helped to make me stronger.
The Demon King found and ancient ritual from the forgotten era of their world, utilizing the moon.
With all of the torture that I had endured and with how strong I was it was deemed insufficient and would need a lot more power in order to fight back against the human monsters and be able to make it home.
The only problem was that no one has ever done the ritual if thousands of years and they only were able to make a rough translation of it. However we were running out of time as the human monsters grew listless at my disappearance. So we had to move quickly to get me back in the fight.
The next night of the full moon we went ahead with the ritual. The ritual itself was rather straightforward however what came after was on a whole different level. All we had to do to start the ritual was draw a very complex magic circle so it would catch the moons light. Than I would stand in the middle and forcibly bleed out until all of the blood in my body was gone.
Simple, however when the moons light covered me everything single bone in my body shattered and than regrew forming into something else. Something darker and far stronger than anything.
My body grew hair and muscle all over and started to slow turn into that of a feral beast. I was uncontrollable the first time that I transformed, I slaughtered anything in my pay. Luckily however the Demon King's guard were able to stop before I did to much damage.
That was when a beautiful golden feather fell down from the sky invisible to everyone else except me. It entered into my heart and I was once again calm and able to keep my sanity in my monster form.
That's how I was able to get most of my powers and than I set out with a few Demon knights to attack the human monsters in gorilla warfare and try to find a way home.
We searched every inch of the continent making good time, but we still couldn't find anything to get me home. That was when we noticed that the human monsters were starting tp change.
Their skin began to darken into an ashy black color, and they became more feral. Some of them even had trouble speaking, it seemed to us that the someone was turning the human monsters into actual feral monsters. Most of those creatures were pretty easy to kill, almost like killing a fly. However some did take some effort.
However are mission wasn't to find out about why the human monsters were changing, so we let the Demon King know and continued on. Our next stop was the deserted castle to the north of the human capital. The abandoned castle used to belong to the first ever Queen of the human empire, but after she died the humans just let it rot and crumble away showing no respect for the Queen at all.
After about a week of high speed traveling our group finally made it to the abandoned castle, and true to its name it looked like it was on its last leg. Every square inch was covered in foliage and moss, he stone walls were full of cracks or holes. It looked like a castle straight out of a horror movie. But since it was mid day we had plenty of light and therefore nothing to be afraid of.
On the safe side however we went in with our weapons drawn just in case.
"Stay on guard everyone." I said as we made it to the center of the entrance.
"WHOOSH"
"BAM"
The double door that acted as the entrance to the castle slammed closed with an abnormal gust of wind. Trapping us inside the dark castle. We thought that was the end of it, however a brilliant white light appeared at the top of the stairs.
The light had a beautiful yet ominous aura around, entrancing us at first glance. Little did we know that we were in the presence of a lower deity, but we didn't have time to think about it much as we soon all blacked out.
