It was a normal day. She was a drunk, high and pregnant eighteen year old. Hanging out at the cemetery with her friends. Trying to summon demons and meet the devil himself. Completely consumed in hatred and desire. Curiosity of how her family could do this but she couldn't. Angered by yet another failed attempt. She went home and walked into a session. Her mother was doing a ouija board centered reading. As she opened the door. The board itself flew across the room. It stuck to her stomach as she collapsed and went into labor. When she woke she was in full blown labor. As the first one came out he was stillborn. The umbilical cord from the other was wrapped around his beautiful neck. You could tell he was past the point of saving. So the doctor called it. Quickly after the girl started to come. The mothers heart rate quickly slowed. The baby was jack knife, breeched and struggling. The doctor moved fast and with a quick knife cut the baby girl lay still in his arms. He hands her to the nurse, as the doctor quickly got to work on the mother. She was fading fast. The nurse worked diligently as she tried to save the baby girl. The mother was finally stable and the doctor turned to the baby girl and got straight to work. The doctor was ready to call it in. It was then that the hospital was struck by lightning and a freak hurricane hit. An earthquake hit and the power was knocked out and the back up generators did not kick on. The doctor slid the receiving blanket over the girl. He turned to look at her mother with sadness in his eyes. He shook his head and she began to sob uncontrollably. The nurse gently stroke her back to help console her. She looked up and asked if she could at least hold them once before they took them away. Both the nurse and doctor grabbed a baby and brought them to her. Tears in everyone's eyes as she held them close to her heart. There was a silence as she hugged them tightly. She squeezed them as if she could transfer her life to them. She inside her mind made a deal with the devil. In exchange he may have anything he wanted if, he could just give her back her babies. She wasn't sure if he heard her plea. The back up generators kicked on. She handed the babies back as she crawled into a ball and began to fall apart. As they placed the babies on the table the lights were kicked off yet again. The generators were failing. At approximately 10 minutes after giving birth. The daughter began spewing black liquid from her mouth. The nurse noticed and picked her up and rolled her onto her side. The doctor looked to see the black substance coming from the baby. He picked her up and began helping her remove the liquid from her lungs. Once it was cleared she began to cry. As the baby let out her first scream. The power itself came back on. The baby stayed in the NICU for three weeks. With baby in her carseat prepped and ready to go. The young mother touched her child's face but felt detached from her child. It felt as though she was looking at a strangers child, not her own. For days she wouldn't look, touch, hold this baby. She would pump milk out and the grandmother took care of the baby. The baby things were moved into her grandmother's room and grandma was the caretaker. As time went by slowly the mother became curious of the baby and became apart of her life. This beautiful baby girl. She was tiny as could be but healthy at the same time. She was just mesmerizing in every way. From her big round grayish purple eyes, to her bouncy curls. Her cute button nose and her sweet smile. She was a perfect mix of both her parents. Slowly the mother started to feel the pull of her child. The wanting to be near her and to love her. At first she tried to breastfeed the baby. Which she was more than ready for. These moments of bonding were short and sweet at first. During feedings she would let the baby girl hold her fingers. As the baby grew so did their bond. The baby still stayed with her grandmother but knew her mom. Mom would play with her, feed her, bathe her but she slept with grandma. Mother having a hard time staying off the drugs decided to move away. So she took her daughter and moved with family somewhere in North Dakota. They stayed with that family for nearly a year when the first snow hit. A bare butt baby running a muck. She managed to get out the door and flopped herself into a pile of snow. She just laid in that pile while the family looked for her. She was missing for nearly an hour before they found her. She had fallen asleep in the snow. They brought her in and gave her a bath. Made her some soup and watched her the rest of that night. She seemed more than ok. Once morning hit an argument broke out and they were on their way again. This time they headed to Washington. They moved around a lot that year. San Francisco, New York, California, Ohio, Florida and Nevada. Mother began working at night time. She made a lot of money. The child stayed with her sitters most of the time. Once in a while she would go with mother to work. She got caught doing bad things and so they had to move back with the family. She was nearly four when they moved back home. Mother was doing the worst things but the girl was safe with family. Then mother started loving the wrong man and he hurt her. So she went away into a program that kept her safe. When she got out the girl was five. She came and took her away and they moved to a different island but stayed close enough for family to easily visit. She was working at night again. She was drinking and doing drugs. She was leaving the girl behind on accident. Forgetting she was there altogether. The girls godmother got ahold of her. She took her into her home and took care of her. Like she was her own child instead of just a God child. She stayed for nearly two years. They filed for custody and the paperwork was nearly completed when mother showed up and took her back. They moved again but into another mans home. She said he will be daddy. The girl was about six when they got married. Mother was working at night, still drinking and on drugs. Father was a military man. He was rarely there. He was always on base taking care of things. He loved that little girl. Since he couldn't have kids of his own. To him she was his world, his everything. Mother became jealous. She got a little mean. Then decided to cheat. She was caught and he worked a lot after that. So mother left him. She sent the girl to live with her mother's friend. They got really close. Then mother moved her to stay with her family. Her aunt was a nurse. She was taking care of an old man. The girl called him papa. The aunt sent her to play and so she did. The aunt was busy in the kitchen. The old man called the girl into his room. He told her to grab a sock and to go to him. He made her put the sock on her hand and told her to hold his buddy. He moved her hand back and forth. Then told her to kiss his buddy. She told him no but he grabbed her head and pushed it down. After a few moments he was on top of her and she was crying. There was blood everywhere. The girl could barely move. Her entire body hurt. Her aunt found her and made her shower. That was the last time she took her with her when she went to work. They all went on with life as if nothing happened. The little girl became very naughty. Her and her cousins were mean to each other. They would team up with each other and play mean tricks on each other. Only the girl would always be the one they blamed. One day she was sleeping when her aunt came in to check in on her. She screamed and everyone ran into the girls room. She was asleep but she was floating in the corner of her room. It was as if something was holding her there in the corner. Her wrists were cut open and blood was everywhere. Though you could tell she was not dead. The very next day mother came and got her. She tied a red rope on her wrist and told her to never take it off again. Then she took her to see a coven of witches. They put her in the center and were chanting and making a lot of noise. The girl didn't understand what they were saying. The room began to spin as she fell asleep. When she woke up, they were at a church. The mother took her to get baptized as well. Then she dropped the girl off back at her mother's best friends place and was gone again. It had been a long time. She was nearly eight years old now. Just a few days off from her eighth birthday. They promised to take her ice skating, zoo, movies, swimming and to get ice cream and pizza. All this for her two day birthday. At the end of her second day mother showed up. She was happy to see mother but she looked different. Her face was round but her stomach was even bigger than she remembered. Mother pulled her friend to the side and they were talking. Aunt asked if she wanted to stay forever. So the girl leaped up in joy and excitement. Then mother looked at her and said well you can't. She packed her things. Her aunt gave her the stuffed animal she bought from the zoo for her birthday. It was a family of koala bears. The big one was the mom, there was one small one on her back and a small one hanging to her tail. The littlest one was on the arm. Each could be moved. She held onto that teddy for dear life as she was dragged into the car. They drove for hours when she sat up and screamed. Stop stop, wait, don't hit the brakes. Mother freaked and accidentally hit the gas. They sped up and a semi truck that wasn't paying attention just barely missed them. Mother completely frazzled by what just happened. She took the girl to see her grandmother. They were there for a while. Next thing she knew they were at the hospital and mother looked like she was dying. There was another baby there and it was screaming so loudly. She did not like the new baby. The baby tried to kill mother. Mother was not the best but she was her mother. She needed mother and so baby was bad. Baby tried to take mother. Many moons passed before the girl decided baby was not that bad..
