Chapter 1 - D-Club

Alexer POV.

*Bell rings*

It looks like all the students that we've passed through were excited about the Club they joined for this school year. I smirked every time I looked at the students' happy faces. While here I am, so bored waiting for Vienne and Wadalei. They said they will just get brochures from the clubs, but until now they haven't come back yet.

It's so lame and boring to wait, you know? Ugh, girls… They always wanted us, boys, to wait for them.

I glance at my wristwatch to check how many minutes have I been standing here.

Hmph, where are they?

Then I looked to my left when I heard a teacher calling for her students, it seems like she'll give them tasks to do.

It's been one week since we transferred here to Wilford Academy. There are a lot of strange things we noticed here, and one of them is there are two uniforms here in W.A. Something's telling me to go ask the students about this, but I think they won't give me any proper answer. Just like the way we met the President of Class A12. She has a lot of stories about this school, but she didn't say anything about why there are two types of uniforms.

"How long have you been waiting for us?" I almost jumped to scare when I heard Vienne's voice. Her pretty face showed up in front of me, I just smiled when she rolled her eyes on me.

"So, how was your club searching? What club should we join?" I asked and didn't bother to answer Vienne's question.

"Oh, there are no clubs that caught our attention yet, but we've heard something different." Vienne says and grins. Uh-oh, I know that grin. Seems like she's up to something. There's a meaning behind that grin.

"And what's that--"

"Let's go…" Wada cut my words. I don't even have a chance to speak, but I just let her lead the way to whatever that club is and Vienne joined her excitedly. I shake my head at them. Well, it's just them who's having fun here, while I, on the other hand, don't know what they would want to do.

As we walked to that club, I noticed that we're towards the end of the corridor. I feel the strange looks of the students as we pass by like they're questioning our existence.

Wow. So. Rude.

*Pout*

We stopped at a room with a "D-Club" posted on the door. But there's a 'DO NOT DISTURB!' hanging on the doorknob.

I squint my eyes, so confused, as I see that sign.

What?

"Is this where we are going to join? Looks like there's no one in here…" I uttered while observing what's inside.

"Obviously," Vienne murmured, "For sure, we're going to be the coolest transferees once we get accepted in D-Club!" There she goes again, Vienne so excited. I just smirked at her since I can't even understand why she reacts that way.

"Is that so?" Wada answered like she doesn't care at all. She quickly knocked on the door, so I prepared myself and stood straight.

The door opened and a guy with red hair appeared on us. His eyes showed us no emotions at all and stared at us from head to toe. Then he let out a big sigh as he was about to close the door.

"Not qualified." He uttered and slammed the door so hard that it left me speechless. I'm stunned at what happened. I don't even expect that.

Again, what?!

"What the heck?! Does he lose his mind?! We haven't even said a word, then he just said right away 'not qualified'? What are his theories of being a detective anyway? Based on physical appearance?" I suddenly came back to my senses when I looked at Vienne starting to yell like she's talking to a child. I pursed my lips at the noise she's creating now. Wow, she's loud, it's echoing throughout the hallway.

"W-wait a minute, can you just calm down?" I said as I covered her mouth with my hands. "Why do you guys even want to join here? There are many clubs here anyway, they would even greet us nicely. A warm welcome to new members, mind you---"

"Let me go!" Vienne said irritatingly as she slapped away my hands on her. "Did you hear what I said?! This is a Detective Club! Remember when we were kids, we always wanted to explore?! This is it! This is our chance to do it! And I won't allow it if we won't be accepted here!"

I looked at Wada asking for her help to stop Vienne, but she just shrugged me off.

Vienne swiftly kicks the door open and it breaks.

Gosh Vienne, really?! *Facepalm*

"Hey! Mr. Comere Grey Shion! You don't have the right to slam the door on us!" Vienne yelled, and I held her arms to stop her.

"Hush, calm down---" She glared at me so I stopped talking.

"What?" The guy sitting on a swivel chair uttered coldly. Oh yeah, right… He was the one who said 'not qualified' to us a while ago.

"What 'what'?! 'What' your freakin' face! I haven't even said a word then we're not qualified?! That instant?! Why?! In what way do you accept your members here?! Based on looks?! HUH?! Are you that crazy?!" Vienne said angrily again to the guy.

"Obviously, it's my club, so I have all the rights to decide. And you don't need to shout, lady, you're annoying." He calmly said to Vienne. I wanted to laugh at the way he talked to Vienne. He looked like he's just talking to something.

"Ah-huh? What if I break your head, right here, right now?! So arrogant! Who do the hell you think you are @#$%^&*!" I can't understand what Vienne's saying now because I cover her mouth again.

Ah, finally, no more yelling---

"You broke my club's door, yet you're still here making a scene. Do you guys want me to call security for you to leave? You're bothering me, yet you're the mad one. Should I change my card?" He stands up and types something on his phone.

"Shion," He stopped typing and glanced at Wada who was staring at him directly. He stands straight and puts his hands in his pocket.

"Leave."

W-what…? I blinked.

"I said leave." The guy said again. He turned his back at us and took his seat again on his swivel chair. "Just leave me alone, I need peace."

I don't understand what just happened. Vienne shoved my hand away and stormed off the club room. I watched at Wada who just followed Vienne outside.

I looked in the guy's direction again. Then suddenly, he spins and stops from where I am standing. Our eyes met, then he crooked his head.

"You don't want to leave? Let's see…" He glared at me then he gave me a strange, creepy smile. I feel the chills through my spine as soon as he does it. A creepy smile like he's off to do something that even if I run, I will never get away from it.
