Chapter 37: PUBLIC HEARING.
Woman 1: Did you hear? It seems the leader or lord is holding a hearing.
Woman 2: Really? I've never seen this guy in person before.
Woman 3: To be able to have so many strong people under his command he must be strong.
Woman 1: Do you think he's a nice guy?
Woman 3: If he wasn't we wouldn't be here.
**MEANWHILE AT THE WHITE HOUSE**
Klaus: You two come here quickly.
Drake: Yes sir.
Ken: How can we help you?
Klaus: Get the others and meet me in the main hall.
Ken and Drake: YES SIR.
Klaus: You guys don't need to shout.
Ari: They seem to be a little too excited to meet Lee?
Joe: Maybe.
Klaus: When did you reach over here.
Joe: Just a few seconds ago lord Klaus.
Klaus: Well it's good to have you here lord Joe.
Ari: Can you two shut it.
Shaw walks over towards Klause and pats him on the shoulder.
Shaw: What's up?
Klaus: Nothing much, by the way where were you?
Shaw: I was helping out Aneka with something.
A few hours passed and it was finally time for the public hearing. Joe and a few new members of his team help build a podium for lee to stand on while giving his speech.
Everyone walked into the grounds of the white house and split into five groups, ranks A and B stood to the right while ranks C and D stood to the left, and Rank S stood in the middle.
Everyone who was a part of the council walked out of the white house and stood behind the podium.
Alice: Thank you, everyone, for joining us here, since recently we've made a lot of mistakes with the ranking of each person and so the boss or emperor as we like to call him has ordered me to do over the rankings. Some person's rank will stay the same while some will have to be changed.
Alice: We have also made a mistake with the numbers of persons that are living here and so we will have to do a recount.
**Alice takes a step down and Klaus goes up to talk**
Klaus: To survive we need soldiers and a lot of them, it doesn't matter what rank you are if you want to join us then you can by asking Alice for a change of department. C and D ranks don't have a say in the matter since they have to join the military or the farming department.
**Klaus takes a step down and joe goes up to talk**
Joe: For those who know anything about engineering or carpentry will be assigned to my team and will be working on various projects to greater this little village or nation.
**Joe takes a step down and ari goes up to talk**
Ari: Hello everyone, if you know anything about flying a plane or know anything about how they operate you will be assigned to my team, thank you.
**Ari steps down and Aneka goes up on the podium**
Aneka: I'm a doctor and I'm looking for nurses and doctors or anyone who've worked in a hospital or clinic to join my team.
Aneka walks off the podium and joins Alice and the others around the back.
Klaus: Auther it's your turn.
Joe: You got this.
Auther: Shaw why don't you go?.
Shaw: Klaus already made a speech and we are both in the military. But I'm only in charge of scouting and rescuing, if need help then I'll call for reinforcements.
*Auther lets out a sigh and goes up on the podium**
Auther: We need people to work in the farming department so if you know anything about farming please ask to join my team.
A few minutes passed and lee finally arrives with Rebekah and Dale guarding him.
Dale: Wow...I never thought that there would be so many people here.
Rebekah: Well.
Lee walks up the stairs of the podium and looks around at everyone then smiles. Rebekah and Dale join him on the podium in case anyone tries to hurt him.
Lee: Hello everyone my name is Lee Everett and I'm the emperor of this small nation that we've built here, I know a lot of you guys here are wondering why I'm an emperor in a post-apocalyptic world and all I can say is that this is all my friend's idea.
Alice already explained to you guys what's going on and I hope that you can work with how things are set.
We are trying to save humanity from the walkers and to create a place where we can sleep peacefully at night and enjoy the sunshine during the day.
I know a lot of you have lost family and friends to the walkers but that doesn't mean you guys have to give up, live for those who died protecting you.
Lee take out a notebook and starts to read what he had written down.
Lee: We have some rules that must be followed if you want to live here.
Rule number one: No one is allowed outside the gates unless you've been permitted to.
Rule number two: No stealing, no fighting among each other if you have a problem with someone write a letter and send it to me.
Rule number three: Leave no man behind unless he's dead, if he's bit tie him up and leave him at an area that the military can reach and we will take care of him.
Rule number four: No one is allowed in this area or zone x unless you rank SSR or S.
Rule number five: Live and enjoy life.
Lee: That's all the rules that you guys must obey, Also to eat you must work. Five food distributors will be placed around the city after completing a task you will receive food items and sanitary items. If you have a cut then you can go to the clinics that have been placed around each side of the city.
Alice: Rank A will be given ten houses, Rank B, C and D will be given fifteen houses and Rank S will be given five houses.
There will be a food distributor on Streets 13,16,18 and 20. Clinics will be on streets 11,14,17 and 19.
Lee: That's it for today you are all dismissed.
