Chapter 3 - 3

([Earth Magic (D+)]

Crisaor looked with excitement as with the acquisition of a new ability, his progress in earth magic surged forward.

From a small rock to enough earth to form a mountain of his own height, his control over the earth he created became remarkably strong.

He could turn it into dust or stone with a mere thought, make it take any form he desired with a strong mental image. He also sensed a peculiar rhythm – with each gram of earth created around him, the speed at which his magic replenished increased significantly.

He also discovered that the stones made from the earth he conjured weren't just magically potent, they were harder than steel. He seriously considered whether he might be creating gold instead of earth, but he eventually dismissed the thought. He could feel that it truly was earth, albeit a very special kind.

His mana control had also improved; now he could draw it out and compress it without turning it into earth in the process. But the most significant discovery of all was that his golden sword was so much a part of him that he could literally store it within his own body without perishing in the process.

As for his inventory, he had been stockpiling armors and coins from the bodies Pegasus brought in on each trip.

Crisaor looked wearily at the growing mound of corpses not too far away.

"Truly... the number of dead is increasing too quickly. If things continue like this... in a few years, there will simply be a mountain of corpses."

It was a pity he had no way to use fire. At most, he could use the Active form of Purity to prevent anything unsavory from manifesting from the corpses in this place. Since there were no insects or anything similar, the bodies took a long time to decompose, and throughout the process, the stench of decay became increasingly unbearable.

But purification alleviated the smell somewhat.

Shaking his head, Crisaor spread his long wings and began flying away from that mound. Only when he had put a good distance between himself and the site did he take a deep breath and begin testing something he had been practicing for a while.

In this place, despite the terms "up" and "down," they were all from his perspective. The world was entirely white, with only a ground that couldn't be clearly seen at first glance.

His goal was to make this place a little more comfortable, and to achieve that, he was about to exhaust all his magic.

Taking a deep breath, magic surged violently throughout his body, ultimately converging in his eyes. They cleared up like crystals, while visible magic began to escape his body.

[Earth Magic] (Active)

With the system message, the aura started running rampant through this small world within the Snake Queen. Wherever the tide of golden mist passed, earth began to emerge.

The small mound of corpses was soon covered by tons of earth, concealing death within.

Though it was dark, Crisaor looked at his work with a wide smile. He had covered this small world, around 50 kilometers in radius, completely with earth.

Almost dry, he had discovered something. His skin, blood, flesh, and even saliva carried magic. If he had enough intention, the magic could respond to his request.

Opening a wound on his wrist with the golden sword, he spoke.)

"I am the Son of Poseidon... a 1/2 God... I beseech my father and the seas to provide me with enough water to create rivers and seas in this small world."

No language was that of the giants. He had a magical contrast in himself, and thanks to that, he had discovered something interesting.

As long as he knew the name of the entity he was calling and had something to offer as payment, he could invoke the authority of other gods within a small margin.

It was like sorcery, but it had limitations. If his affinity was different from that of the god or if he had no connection to such an entity, he would struggle to even notice any effect.

But Poseidon was his father, and his magical core held a part of his divinity. The effect was massive.

The divine energy within his body surged forcefully, while wave after wave of bluish energy began to escape from his body, dripping down and forming puddles on the ground.

Drop by drop, a puddle formed... then a river, and finally a sea. A deep and beautiful sea with a crystalline hue.

The mystery was closely intertwined with the body, and the body with creation itself. Pangu created the world with his body. Gaia was the world. Ra had children who gave birth to the world.

In many religions, the same concept of the world's beginning is tied to the "Body." The mystery of creation becomes much more accessible when you sacrifice something from your body to form a part of the world.

When he finished creating the sea, the land had already been formed. It was a pity he couldn't create the sky on his own. Perhaps Pegasus could call upon the power of the skies, but it was better not to. The sky was linked to gods who might not take kindly to them being the offspring of Poseidon.

In any case, he was exhausted. He hadn't even been alive for a year yet, not having been born. He could only let his body fall to the ground with a loud thud and drift into sleep.

Pegasus didn't take long to arrive, looking at his brother who now surpassed him by nearly 2 meters before snorting wearily.

It was as if he were saying,

"This damn brother of mine... he really causes a lot of trouble for this elder one. I should complain to Mother when I can!"

Unfortunately, there was no mother to complain to. She was becoming increasingly insane, and even if he could, he would only be consumed again.

Shaking his large head, Pegasus walked over to his brother and lay down beside him. His wings acted as a gentle blanket, covering him as he too entered a period of sleep and growth.
