[Perseus]
I am Perseus, the son of Zeus and the princess Danae. One day, King Polydectes sent me on an impossible mission: to bring him the head of the Gorgon Medusa, a creature so hideous that it could petrify anyone who looked at it. Luckily, the gods Athena and Hermes helped me and bestowed upon me a shiny shield, sandals that allowed me to fly, and a helmet that rendered me invisible. With these gifts, I journeyed to the ends of the earth.
To the islands of the Gorgon Sisters. On the island, I braved the stormy tides that surrounded it...
As if the wrath of the seas wanted to keep every "Hero" away from the Woman who once lay with their king... The sky clouded, blocking any trace of sunlight...
And an impressive, ethereal pressure without form enveloped the entire island... Evoking the deepest fear in even the bravest of hearts.
He managed to traverse the tempestuous seas, reaching the shore aided by a replica of the Helmet of "Hades," which allowed him to become invisible to both mortal and immortal eyes.
With the replica of the Boots of Hermes, the messenger of the gods, he moved at such speed that it seemed as if time itself was frozen around him. It didn't take long for him to reach the heart of the island, where a white serpent coiled around a tall, golden tree. And around this serpent, a monstrous tail seemed to want to encircle and crush the tree.
Yet, simultaneously, it dared not.
"He swallows hard."
"It's enormous."
Perseus' green eyes, those of a not-so-brave hero who believed that, by virtue of his royal lineage, it was his divine gift to be a "Hero," even if he lacked the qualities for such a role, shifted towards the colossal tail before moving towards one end of the massive appendage...
The torso of a woman—arguably giant-sized—yet stunningly beautiful. Perfect skin, ample bosom, violet hair, and an aura of an incredible sadistic milf.
He dared not look further at the Gorgon's perfect face, fearing that if she awoke, her gaze might meet his eyes, turning him to stone. If he were simply to become a statue, his journey would be in vain, and all these treasures would be for naught.
The Helmet of Hades assured his means of escape. The Boots of Hermes ensured that no one could catch him, and Athena's shield guaranteed his invulnerability.
Using the shield's reflection, Perseus gazed at the woman/Gorgon, a dormant monster. Slowly, using the shield's reflection, he inched his way alongside the monstrously sized head.
"He swallows hard."
Perseus wasn't brave. At this moment, he was seriously considering that if there were any sudden movement from her, he would simply run away, imploring Athena for help.
For better or worse, the Gorgon did not awaken. The Helmet of Hades wasn't just an ordinary treasure. Although a mere replica, it was more than enough to confuse the senses of a slumbering Gorgon.
Unsheathing the sword bestowed upon him by Athena herself for this Odyssey, Perseus raised it high before bringing it down with all his might upon the Gorgon's neck.
The neck was cleanly severed as the Gorgon's eyes sprang open and looked upward in confusion.
The golden shield, like a mirror, was the last thing she saw before falling dead before her own eyes.
The colossal tail began to dissipate as her colossal body slowly shrank, no larger than that of an ordinary human.
The Medusa, before she was cursed, now lay dead with eyes wide open, filled with disbelief.
[/According to Fate... Perseus fought against Medusa for some time before deflecting her attack with his shield, capturing Medusa with her own power. But this is a blend of Fate/Marvel... so consider the original Perseus myth, where Perseus kills the Gorgon while she was deeply asleep. This also explains the birth of Pegasus and Chrysaor... because in Fate, these two were never born from Medusa. Instead, Pegasus was given to Medusa by Poseidon, and Chrysaor is simply another son of Poseidon who has little to do with Medusa.]
"Hah! I've truly slain the Gorgon!! I, Perseus, have killed a monster that even the gods couldn't vanquish, relying solely on my cunning."
[Perseus]
Laughing like a madman, Perseus removed the Helmet of Hades (Replica) and tossed it aside before walking toward the severed head of the Gorgon and grabbing it by its soft and beautiful violet hair.
"Athena said to bring her the head of Medusa... I suppose this will suffice."
He stored the head in a leather bag he had brought with him and slowly began to walk away. However, he stopped when he sensed an unusual aura.
His instinct screamed for him to run without looking back, but his foolish mind failed to grasp the message. He stiffly turned around just enough to observe the gradually enlarging neck of Medusa's body... something was emerging.
[Chrysaor]
The sky revealed a rather conspicuous opening leading to the outside world. Stheno and Euryale gazed at the aperture with heavy eyes before looking at him and Pegasus, who seemed eager to escape this place and be born.
"Chrysaor and Pegasus... do you really want to leave? The world outside is terrible, but if you're born now, there's no turning back."
Chrysaor knelt down, glancing downward to see his two aunts standing together, holding hands.
"If we stay here any longer, we'll die. I'm not certain of the situation outside, but I know that if we don't leave, this opening will close, and we'll die here, forgotten by time."
"But..."
"... I want to be born. At the very least, I want to see this world. And as for dying right after birth, it doesn't matter. I really want to see, even if just for a second, what my mother is truly like and the world around her."
His thoughts were more complex than that, but it wasn't a lie that he wanted to leave this place. He knew that even if he stayed, with his mother dead, this place would collapse. He could clearly see signs of collapse in the cracked sky.
Stheno and Euryale had complicated expressions, but in the end, they accepted his wish and didn't say much as he lifted them and placed them on his shoulders.
His wings, which seemed to span the sky, extended, and Pegasus followed his lead, quickly taking flight toward the rift in the sky.
Pegasus was born first, officially becoming the firstborn of Medusa. But Chrysaor didn't mind being born second. He simply had to struggle to widen the gap, which was too small for his 12-meter-tall body.
When he finally squeezed his way out through the narrow opening, the scent of blood and death hit Chrysaor, followed by the smell of sulfur and ashes.
"Damn it... why does it seem like I was born at the world's end?"
He was left speechless; it was as if everything around him was undergoing the world's end.
His mind was brought back to his body as the faint cries of his two aunts reached his ears like soft whispers.
The two of them had descended from his shoulders and were now embracing the headless body of a woman with a god-like physique.
Though the head was missing, tufts of cut violet hair remained beneath the body like an endless, soft blanket.
This revealed who she was. Her eyes were truly complicated; she was his mother.
"Chrysaor!! Kill him!"
Stheno's eyes didn't show deep hatred—no, that couldn't be displayed by the perfect goddess. But even though she didn't show it, the pain and resentment were clear as she gazed at the figure of a man not far from them.
Chrysaor's eyes surveyed the land before stopping at Perseus. Auburn, wavy hair; green eyes; and a lithe body that suggested flexibility. In his hand, he held a golden shield equipped with a mirror on its front.
His feet bore mouths with wings that seemed poised to flutter away at any moment.
It was a shame... although massive, Chrysaor wasn't slow. His hand swiftly captured Perseus before lifting him up to eye level.
"Gaah!" You damned giant!! I'm Athena's champion. If you kill me, Athena will slay all of you!
Chrysaor didn't kill him just yet, not because he feared his threat, but because he had a personal internal conflict.
He had never killed before. He had witnessed lifeless bodies being delivered into Medusa's stomach—everyone dead. But he had never taken a life himself.
He simply didn't know if it would truly be a good thing to make his first kill in this manner.
"Kill him! Chrysaor! He killed our mother and carries her head as a trophy... You have to kill him."
Looking at Stheno and Euryale, who were holding the lifeless body of their mother, Chrysaor clenched his hand. Like a balloon being squeezed between his palms.
Perseus' body was squeezed to death, and blood burst out in a spray, drenching Chrysaor's hand in blood and entrails.
As for the cards Perseus had, Chrysaor, from what he could see, this "Hero" didn't have anything that really interested him.
