Chereads / Medusa/Venganza! / Chapter 6 - 6

Chapter 6 - 6

A sword of 6 meters... golden and radiating a glow no less brilliant than an artificial sun in the high sky... summoned by the grace of Helios to the two Gorgon Sisters... it swung and slashed continuously.

With each cut, a trail of Aether, an extremely dense energy, was released from it, forming pale golden crescents that seemed to want to slice through the sky above its wielder's head.

Each slash left a clear trail of wind and destruction, and each movement was slowly but surely improving.

[Apprentice Swordsman (E)]

The technique was mediocre, but for a baby who hadn't even left his mother's womb yet... this was a remarkable achievement.

Not even the strangest protagonists could claim they trained with a sword inside their mother's stomach before being born.

Crisaor stopped his movements as the sword slipped from his hands and created a large crater not far away.

His body was sweating, but he didn't mind. He was a giant. After some time, he could recover and become stronger. Instead, he let his legs give way, large drops of sweat falling to the ground like an especially dense rain.

"Ah!! I'm really tired!"

His eye emerged from his mouth, displaying the strain his body had undergone, to the point of overheating.

But he didn't mind. He was following advice from his aunts. Don't give up until you fall. In this world, mystery reigns.

And strength isn't gained by tearing muscle fibers. It's gained because, through "training," the body absorbs the mystery of "Strength," building muscle and power.

In the same way the sea wasn't above the sky... according to mystery, the Sky ruled by Zeus, the king of gods, will always be above the domain of the sea.

If the sea ever becomes more powerful than the sky... then the sea can be above. But until then, it remains on the same level as the earth, showing that the earth, "Gaia," has the same power as Poseidon, according to the logic of mystery.

And Giants are particularly attuned to the mystery of "Strength." Even if they don't actively train their bodies, they slowly integrate this concept throughout their lives. But if trained, this process speeds up and becomes more efficient.

[Body: 100 +1]

"Your body is powerful... you have gained the passive skill 'Bronze Skin.'"

[Physical Resistance (A+)]

His whole body trembled as the concept of "Strength" began to whirl violently around him, growing faster and faster.

He only stopped when he reached a height of 10 meters, a mark typically achieved by a giant child.

Strong storms of mystery swirled around him as he grew, only ceasing when his body couldn't contain the mystery of "Strength" any longer.

Raising his hand without getting up, he looked at his strong, tougher-than-ever hands with a broad smile.

"Hehe... I doubt even a nuclear bomb could kill me now."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Stheno]

She has encountered all kinds of beings... Gods, nature spirits, spirits from the same reality... Once or twice Alaya... and the celestials who experimented with monkeys...

Heroes and villains... queens and kings... But she has never seen such a strange duo of siblings.

A winged pony that seemed to long for brotherly love with an intensity, and a giant who grows so excessively that he hasn't even been born yet, yet wields power comparable to an average adult giant.

Since his arrival, she could feel his strength simply skyrocketing, leaving her speechless.

Not only did he gain Divinity and with it a complete Divine Core... something very unusual for a Non-Pure Giant, but he managed to somehow copy the innate ability that only she and Euryale should have.

[Goddess's Whim] - a high-level Charm ability that has made "almost no one!" immune to their charms... Not even the gods can withstand it, and only the primordials barely can.

No wonder they've gained so much favor from the male gods.

But he has it... his strength is not inferior to hers... which made her keep a close watch to see what was happening with this little nephew of hers.

In the end, she found nothing more than his peculiar habit of training his earth control... creating giants of his own size and likeness just to engage in a fistfight with them until they were utterly pulverized.

It was incredible considering the earth here wasn't normal... she verified it... harder than Divine Bronze.

It was simply a dream come true for any blacksmith or magician; this earth. But the boy could shatter it with his fists and then create more as if it were nothing.

She guessed it had to do with his innate Authority... the water created by Poseidon's authority wasn't normal either, and his charm was also enhanced by his divinity.

However, in any case, it was truly fascinating that an earth-based Authority could create material so suitable for almost any armor or alchemical object.

The innate treasure, the "Golden Sword," was also intriguing. Every god has a symbol of power, but not all are born with one.

Not even the Three Great Deities were lucky enough to be born with an innate symbol of power. Among the Twelve Great Deities, only Athena and Ares were born with innate symbols of power.

And the power of each of their symbols isn't trivial. Ares' symbol is especially potent, able to extract the full power of the concept surrounding "Mars."

Athena's sword and shield enhance any chosen one in her presence, boosting their sense of heroism and bringing a destiny favorable to the new hero chosen by Athena.

Stheno simply had to admit she was curious about what innate ability could be unlocked by a golden sword... but in any case.

The more she looked at this "Great!! Little nephew," the less she could understand him, so in the end, she just gave up.

Emerging from the void she used to hide from her little nephew, Stheno noticed that Crisaor had noticed her presence, but he was still exhausted and didn't get up.

He had just gone through a period of incredibly rapid growth, and she had witnessed it all. So, instead of getting angry, she leaped onto his face and gazed into his large eye.

"My little nephew... you're really peculiar, but your aunt loves you! Even if your mother eats you right after you're born... I'll be here to welcome you back."

Crisaor's face twitched as his unusual eyes regarded the small loli with gratitude mixed with clear uncertainty.

"I guess... thank you?"

"You're... welcome."

Crisaor had a strange expression. Ever since he grew to 10 meters, his elder aunt's method of harassment suddenly stopped.

He wasn't sure if he should feel hurt or shout with excitement. He could finally do whatever he wanted without an eternally youthful immortal looking at him oddly.

Now, he could use his authority to give simple commands to the massive earth golems and fight until he was completely worn out.

"Yeah!!?"

Well, maybe that wasn't such a great idea... but in this place, he didn't have much else to entertain himself with.

And this way, he was not only training his body but also honing his battle instincts and magic. That's why he could now create golems. Not simple figures controlled by him, but golems with their own wills.

He hoped that in the future, he could create dragon-type golems that would fight and win before he even needed to lift a finger!

As for how he imparts them "consciousness"... it's really complex, and he doesn't fully understand it, but by using his authority, he can draw upon the mystery of Pandora's creation to grant his beasts very basic intelligence.
