Ting!
Dalia crossed her arms and looked at the man beside her who silently stood like a statue. He didn't either say anything inside of the elevator other than a heavy, nervous breath.
"What are you staring at? Come out before it closes, Ms. Feints." Aga Wilson was the one who stepped out while she remained still and stared at him sharply.
Instead of saying something, she flipped her hair and walked out confidently like a professional supermodel. But her boss shook his head in disbelief and chuckled sarcastically.
Wilson treated her like a fragile yet, valuable thing in his life. Among the women he knew, there was only one who seemed different in his eyes- and that is Dalia Feints.
"That woman never fails to ruin my day in a good manner!" he whispered.
He fixed his composure before he walked straight into the front desk. He cleared his throat and said coldly, "Excuse me, may I know Martina Green's room number?"
The nurses who heard his voice giggled secretly until they caught a glimpse of a jaw-dropping man who was waiting patiently.
One of the nurses tucked her away to the back of her ear and blinked her eyes like a charming puppy. She embarrassingly smiled at him, "P- pardon, Sir?" she said in a sexy tone yet, he didn't give a damn to a woman like her.
Aga Wilson looked intently into her eyes, "I want to know Martina Green's room number and can you please make it hurry!" he repeated in a harsh way that put the nurse under pressure.
As quick as she must be, she keyed the patient's name, and her room number automatically showed up on the screen. She said, "She's in room number 0015! Just walk straight to this way and you will see the room number on the door."
He gasped and quickly leave that shocked the nurses who didn't expect it. Their faces were hard to draw at first but the moment they looked at him from a distance, it turned out to be a smiling emoticon with glowing eyes.
"He's pretty handsome and jaw-dropping!" said one of the nurses until they heard a loud noise that came from the hallway.
It was strange when a sophisticated woman appeared suspiciously, "Don't you dare talk about him or else I will break your bones, do you understand?" she began and acted like Wilson's girlfriend.
But the nurses burst into laughter that provoked her to be a badass woman who was used in trouble during high school days. And before something happened, Aga quickly appeared and grabbed her arm forcibly.
"Stop it! You are not in your territory, Dalia! And if you'll continue acting like a child, I'll call your dad and tell him everything you did!"
"Huh, as if he truly cares!"
Dalia rolled her eyes on the woman who looked surprised. If they weren't mistaken, she is Dalia Feints- the daughter of a well-known businessman and professional writer.
Disappointingly, Aga Wilson followed her until she grabbed her arm and said, "It's not the right way!"
He bowed his head while Dalia chose to be silent and let him hold her hands tightly as they walked into the peaceful and clean hallway.
In the end, he saw Martina's room number and quickly let go of Dalia's hand like she was seriously ill.
"Shall we?" he murmured, yet no one answered.
His patience was getting shorter and if he would stay with her the whole time, he has probably turned into a zombie who knew nothing but a bloody battle.
"If you don't want, then stay here! I don't want to be with you either," he told Dalia that suddenly hit her heart painfully. He sighed, stepped closer to the door, and knocked thrice.
"Come in!"
While Dalia seemed irritated by his presence, she smirked and hurriedly pushed the door and stuck out her tongue at him.
She said, "I am watching you, Wilson. Don't you dare to take her for granted if you don't want to be found dead and floating in a river!"
"It would be my pleasure, Ms. Feints. But I can't wait for much any longer for it." Aga bowed his head and acted like an apologetic man that ruined Dalia's day.
Until…
"If you keep on talking in my room, then leave! Both of you, leave now!" spoke a woman who looked fresh and still beautiful despite everything that happened to her last night.
Her green, glowing eyes laid on Dalia who hurriedly ran towards the hospital bed and held the patient's hand tightly.
She furrowed her brows and exaggeratingly stated, "Wilson started all of these! Since I met him, my life became like a hell and I could no longer bear how he treat me even in front of your beautiful and young mother! Please forgive me, Martina!"
Martina's mother smiled widely and let him be seated first. She then reached for a red plastic cup and poured some tea on it.
"Drink some hot tea, young man. It should have been a tiring, noisy ride with Dalia. Am I right?"
Aga Wilson shook his head in agreement and stared at Martina's lovely face who didn't change after the incident.
"She's quite fine and she told me that she'll be back to work tomorrow." Mary Green murmured with a smile on her lips. It was hard for her to accept but when she heard Martina's sweet voice, the pain and fear suddenly vanished like a wind that blew up the little things around.
"S- she's going back to work?"
"Aha and even how hard we force her not to, she would still do everything."
Martina's positivity stunned him deeply. He has been keeping a passionate feeling for a year but he hasn't still had a chance to be brave enough to confess.
He chuckled, squirmed the hot, fragrant tea, and tasted it while Dalia was seated on the edge of the hospital bed and listened to Martina's serious story.
He was quite interested to hear it too but he was afraid that someone might ruin it all over again. Unexpectedly, Dalia stood with a green apple in her hand, she looked at Martina for a second and gulped countless times.
"Martina, would you tell us what truly happened that bright, cold night?" she courageously asked, and out of nowhere, it brought Martina to the exact moment where she saw an ensnaring man with glowing blue eyes in the forest.
