I take my APB machine pistol from its holster and inspect it closely, i line it up as if i were to shoot..
With my left hand wrapped around my right holding my gun, aiming down the iron sights i notice a slight difference in the sight post than i am used to in the standard CZ Pistol we were issued, however, it would not be a problem for me, i inspect and take a closer look at the rear sight to see if it's adjustable, and thankfully it is, to 200 meters it can zero, it seems it's currently at the 50-meter mark, meaning once i take that complete mastery capsule i should more than likely even in fully automatic mode hit targets at 200 meters with some level of ease.
I check the fire selector on the left side of the slide, it is on safe, it has two more settings, the middle is semi-automatic, and the farthest from my body is fully automatic, i switch it to semi-automatic with a barely audible click that if i weren't paying attention to would not have registered for me regardless of being literally right next to it, it seems the stealth customization is no joke huh...
I take my 5th magazine out of my belt pouch, i notice its loaded already, meaning i don't have to worry about loading each bullet individually into the magazine since i don't have a loading tool, i shake it around to see if it rattles like the typical loaded magazine for most firearms, the spring remains in tension and almost no noise escapes, "How pleasing, i can sneak up on people so easily now."
[MLD is pleased the user appreciates the products of the system, if MLD may interject the user should also take note that, unlike real-life firearm suppressors, the one provided by the system for all conventional products is truly nearly silent, like the fake sound effects of the so-called 'movies' of the Users home world, meaning in combination with your Gift Pack Sidearm it will be not be heard within the mile radius typical of suppressors which compared to an unmuffled gunshot is small in the possibility of sound traveling, but the systems superior product is a matter of a few hundred meters]
"Wow! Thank you MLD!"
I proceed to insert the magazine into the empty pistol and rack the slide chambering an RG208 APH Round into the barrel, and as i expected, the whole thing was as quiet as a mouse, truly spectacular compared to what special operations soldiers would have available back at home, the amount of sound dampening is insane...
I keep the sight zero to 50 meters and proceed to fish out my suppressor out of my belt, taking it out i screw it on the barrel of the gun, noting my surroundings as I do so, i decide to check out the footlocker by the cot, everything it seems including the cot was covered in a layer of dust, luckily i managed to clean all of that crap off my body during my stay here before this System or whatever it wants to call itself appeared...
Should i be concerned that it might have purposefully killed me that day by having that PVT forget to clear the chamber of his rifle before trying to hand it to me after taking the magazine out and tripping thus shooting me in the neck?
Hmmm...
A/N (Layout of the room comment here)
I'll think of that later, what's more, important right now is progressing so i can stay alive in this life, on this barren wasteland as long as possible hopefully, if it were anyone else they would probably be pissed out of their mind about such a thought if they loved their job as much as i did, however as i know i can do nothing to change it at the moment and since i can control my emotions extremely well logic prevails, and my logic is telling me that there is bound to be something good in this footlocker..
A/N (What the Foot Locker Looks Like comment)
The locker seems pretty well preserved like most things in here for the time its probably been abandoned, luckily it has no padlock on it... I easily flip over the latch and pry it open peeking inside with help of the somehow still working ceiling light, inside was a Ragged looking pair of old leather boots you would expect to find on some WW2 Soldier or something from how long up your leg they go, folded nicely inside, and on the left a slightly rusty key i presume belongs to the very tall metal locker across from me past that Ventilation unit built into the wall.
It has been locked this entire time as i checked the thing out before ransacking the food on the shelves next to it, and since it has no spots to peer into i didn't know what was inside, unless i wanted to pry some pointed stick or something in the slightly decayed rubber gasket around the doors of the thing.
I pick up the key and put the boots into the system inventory, i don't expect much for some poorly maintained leather and rubber but its better than nothing to add to the 10k credit i already have, i then proceed to walk over to the sealed locker and insert the key inside, the marking on the locker indicating what was inside or what it was for long rotted away, but judging by the style and how its bolted to the floor and sealed from the outside its some pretty important supplies...
A/N (Locker Image Comment)
I Twisted the key and unlocked the mechanism preventing the two doors from opening, and grabbed the handle and gave it a good yank in case those gaskets would meddle in doing so, all this time with my APB by my side in my other hand, ready to one hand and start spraying lead, although to be fair i haven't heard anything or anyone but myself down here, anyways it opened and what i saw inside made me smile.
This would mean even more credits for myself, and judging by the state of that home-made shotgun i had this is better than what most had in this wasteland, two strange bolt actions stood before me on the right side lined up side by side in their racks, the rest of the racks and such completely empty, judging by the lack of clothes in that footlocker and only that single pair of boots left I am guessing whoever occupied this in the past left in a rush with the minuscule amount of weapons that have been in this locker left behind as proof of the soldier taking what he needed, on the right are 5 rifle racks and a small open compartment above with a strange pistol inside, on the left side are multiple shelves with slots for ammunition box organization and even some with egg shaped inserts im guessing were for grenades, only a fraction of the ammunition is left and no grenades at all, i am guessing the ammo is for these guns and if not oh well, i can still sell that ammo either to the system or to the locals who would probably have weapons that take it, now onto to those guns left behind, lets check them out!
Before i do so though i put my APB back into its holster with the suppressor attached.
The first rifle i took out after making sure its clear looked like some strange Remington 700 and Mosin Nagant hybrid, chambered i think in something a bit more intermediate for my tastes, probably a .220 or something by the standards of my world, nothing like a full power .308 or 7.62R, heck even a 30-06 or 8mm Mauser would be expected for the type of weapons i thought id find in here judging by what i think is the level of technology they have here and how old this place is, but no i had to have a .220...
Anyways the thing seems to be your standard bolt action rifle, adjustable sights that luckily thanks to this girls limited knowledge i know the ranges for are the same as the typical meters used in Earth's firearms, They are called Aeriths for meters and Aeriks for Kilometers, centimeters i can't seem to remember what they called really...
The gun has the manufacturers mark on the outside of the chamber section of the barrel of the rifle, the alphabet this place uses is like a weird blend of Thai and Cyrillic, it says below a strange proof mark or maybe factory logo GWB-80 and then a 6 digit serial number below it, and on the side of the receiver it says .224 WB I'm guessing this is a GWB-80 rifle or its at least what it is named, at least i know what to call these now, i will the B-80 into my inventory and it disappears from my hands, i go and pick up the second rifle now.
A/N (What the GWB-80 Looks Like Bar the lack of iron sights and the quality finished stock unfit for mass production)
I pick up the second rifle, it seems to be a more powerful round, judging by the baseplate of the internal magazine, although lacking in capacity compared to the first which probably holds 10 rounds or more, i check if it is loaded by racking the action and peering inside, its not so i can move on..
The Marking on the chamber this time is a more usual Logo or stamping for me than whatever wiggly line mess the previous one was, a Triangle in a square with a crescent moon in the middle,
(Image comment on this para) it stated the caliber under the proof mark as 7.5x51R and the make under that along with the 5 digit serial number, PAJ-220, My good old 220 huh?
If the serial is anything to go by there are possibly tens of thousands of these out there compared to the hundreds of thousands of the previous weapon, that is if the serials are by how many produced and the current rifles spot among all of the others, id hate to get shot by one of these since im pretty sure my helmet or vest could only take 2 hits or so if the bullets are steel cored or AP before my armor gave out and i could get killed compared to that smaller bullet and cased caliber rifle earlier, this thing is a bit bigger than your regular old 30-06 API it was stated to be rated for..
"I am quite satisfied with these rifles, they are practically brand new thanks to the seal holding up on this locker." I state out loud to no one in particular
[That Rifle in your hands is worth 700 Credits, and the other one is 500, Would you like to sell them to the system?] MLD Stated in my mind
"Keep them in my inventory for now" I Said since i wanted to see if i could find ammunition for them after inspecting the pistol on the upper shelf
I then sucked the PAB into my inventory and went to look at the Pistol, It was like an old-time Mauser in how the magazine was in front of the Grip and Trigger Assembly, It Had that same wiggly Proof mark across the barrel and Serial Number with the marking GWL-710 for the model and listed as 7.64x27mm Caliber, i took out the magazine by hitting the magazine button i found on the left side under the guns safety selector I'm assuming, i looked at the feeding tray and it was empty, this double-stack magazine should probably hold like maybe 15 or 20 rounds.
I went back to the gun and noted that it ejected casings from the top of the receiver, so i grabbed the charging handle on the right side of the gun and pulled back to see if any cartridge would fly out, none did so it was safe to handle further than look at the side of the barrel without accidentally pointing the barrel at something i didn't want to accidentally shoot, i can't help but feel im being a little bit hasty in all of this since I'm not checking for ammunition before checking out what the hell i am holding... Oh well, anyhow i stick the empty magazine back into the pistol and suck it into my inventory, along with the 3 other empty magazines that were on the shelf i somehow only seemed to notice now... (Comment Image)
I Checked the left side of the Gun Locker and what do you know, all of the ammunition left is only for these weapons i have, 3 30 Round count Cardboard Boxes of 7.64x27mm for the GWL, 2 20 Round Boxes of .224 WB for the GWB, 4 20 Round Boxes of 7.5x51R for the PAJ-220, all now mine and safe and sound inside my inventory space haha!
Now its time to sell these guns, ill keep the ammo just in case
"MLD, i wish to sell the Rifles and Pistol i have, what is the money i will get for the Pistol i may add before you bring up the Prompt?"

"Alright then let's go grab the MRE's And Canned Water off the shelf and get going! I might as well put my backpack and the items inside back into my inventory as well!"
I go near the Shelves and suck all of the MRE Boxes And Sealed Water into my inventory, then look around the room in case of anything else i might need, Both Lockers are emptied out, The Basic Wooden Desk is empty, everything seems in order for me to leave...
I then open the secondary bunker door with the big bulky key i had in my leather jackets inside pocket, and walk past the decontamination and bathroom area and unlock and open the first reinforced bunker door, closing it behind me and locking it from the outside, I then put my key away and then will my backpack and everything inside it into my inventory, now ready to climb up the ladder without having to worry about getting caught on the trapdoor above me for a few moments like most people would do..
#Timeskip 5 Minutes#
I come through the trapdoor hatch with ease and plant my feet on the concrete floor, i can feel the somewhat cold breeze coming through the open front door... Everything is still covered in dust and grime, 'No one found this which is good.' *Sigh*
I proceed to look around the room after taking note of the door, i have a chair to the right of me and some Corroded Metal Crates that look like it was issued to some military i do not know of piled on top of and next to each other on the right corner next to the door, to the left of me is an empty tool or gun wallboard, it really just depends on what you want to mount on the racks there, and a metal small workbench and stool a bit farther down with a beaten up vice and reloading tool bolted onto it and a red vintage looking toolbox with a hint of rust on the edges sitting near the wall on it, there's a ceiling light above it and one above the hatch where i am now, the lights are not on and the switch is next to the entry door.
'Now knowing and putting the memory the layout of the surface level of this shelter i can move on and quickly build up a rapport with MLD, i want to get as high of a tier as i can and have as many connections as i can so i can finally kick back and be done with it and not have to worry about anything and have that lazy kicked back lifestyle with me screwing with weapons and drinking cola i had before, heck at this point why not explore this shithole and see what it has to offer?
All i have seen so far is this crappy eastern coastline and there is literally 100s of thousands of kilometers i can explore or even more, this dingy map on a piece of scrap paper with nothing but directions to get to this bunker from the typical coastal drop areas is practically worth nothing in terms of learning what is out there, why wait I am curious to see what this land has to offer, there has to be good people out here somewhere!'
With my new determination, i quickly gather what i can from the crates finding nothing but a few torn up MRE's in one of the crates, i suck the whole crate and all inside it into my inventory, noting the workbench i decide that this will be my home when i am not traveling selling things out of whatever car i can scrounge up from the system, that workbench would be useful and since there is only one way in and out and its literally a reinforced concrete surface level with a door that would take a very high heat blowtorch or thermite to melt through it would be a perfect hideout and bullet funnel if they ever come in, not to mention the underground level with two more reinforced steel doors.
With that out of the way i head out and walk out to the service road a few miles away from the bunker, it was your typical gravel forestry service road you'd find in forest parks and stuff all over Earth, i didn't know where it would take me either direction but i have the system to help me find direction, 'Especially since i don't feel comfortable using this makeshift compass made out of bent scrap metal unknowing when it would break or stop giving a reliable point of direction, time to shop!'
I will open the system panel

I Open the Shop and It States my Tier, and below it is page after page of items I can buy along with the exchange rate for the local currency, the Raikar? Strange name, anyways basically it is halved in value once exchanged with the system into credits apparently,The pages and Categories in the ship range amenities like toilet paper and hygiene products to literal tanks and aircraft, most of them are too expensive for me at the moment though, i notice a search bar with a filter menu.
I filter everything down to Vehicles and Loadout Kits that i can currently buy so i can sell everything in bulk out of the back of whatever car i can best afford, it stated in a little pop-up disclaimer that loadout combos are limited-time deals and are semi-randomized and changed every 2 months in real time, i don't have a watch or a calendar at the moment linked up to this current world so i guess i am stumped on that for now, that's another thing to add with my leftover credits i suppose after i get myself a compass and a somewhat accurate map of my local surroundings if the system even has it listed here, hopefully for the cheapest.
