'Sariel hybrid keeps getting more impressive, I know I'm supposed to kill him but I think I would gain more if I captured him first we can both win' Phosphoros had a conundrum on his hands. If he captured them he would be able to gain insights that should advance his research by years but his patron would not be happy. Phosphoros decided it was time for him to act with some real intent.
A Tier of a race wasn't just for show, the higher tier races were far stronger than they would normally show. Phosphoros was from a Tier 3 race so had access to a magnitude of abilities and field powers that the humans hadn't even conceived of. It was the first time anyone was seeing the true body of Phosphoros he had decided to end this here and now.
He was a picture of a perfect Angel, pure white with 6 sets of wings, he was a fully form Seraphim. it did not take him long to subdue the rampaging hybrid, with just a wave of his hand he lock him in a ball of ever-changing fields. One second gravity was up the next it was left etc. This ever-changing environment made it impossible for the boys' to concentrate or escape.
Phosphoros had overstepped his boundary and this had allowed Littleman to finally get involved. He descended to the battlefield. It seems to be a comical mismatch, with Littleman not standing more than 2 feet tall and Phosphoros standing 10 feet tall. Phosphoros attitude told a different story, he had immediately backed away.
"Tier 2, Littleman, Valtaui, Freelancer " Littleman started with the usual galaxy greeting over a mental network.
"Tier 3, Phosphoros, Angel, Researcher" Phosphoros replied in-kind, he had not been expecting interference from anyone, his benefactor had told him that it would be taken care of.
Everyone was expecting to see an epic battle between these two higher-level aliens but nothing of the sort took place. Instead, they had seemed to be staring at each other.
While the staring contest was taking place on Mars, a Valtaui warship had just entered the orbit of Planet Limbo a homeworld of the demons currently attacking Mars.
"now Phosphoros you have a decision to make, I have a black hole weapon on board my ship now how do you wish for this to end," Littleman asked casually.
Phosphoros would normally call the bluff, but he knew that Valtaui never bluffed, it wasn't in their programming. He also knew that he couldn't go to the council for support as he was sure that Littleman had been collecting evidence.
"Are you prepared for the fallout if you follow through with your plan?" said Phosphoros with no evidence of his normal act.
"Yes, I don't fear death, you broke the peace early and if the council won't punish you then I have to follow my programming and let justice still be served also demons are a soulless race so there won't be any outrage," replied Littleman.
"We will withdraw for now but will see you in 8 years when justice is no longer on your side " With that Phosphoros and all the demons had disappeared along with spell holding Null and Infinity.
The boys' and Chris ran to where Jania was lying on the ground bleeding.
Littleman walked over and place his hand into the cut. "Good, she still alive" and the cut started to regenerate and close up. He didn't use any spell just technology, Organic life was easy for the Valtaui to repair as long as the person was still alive.
Chris and Null both hugged the now healed Jania, Chris was crying. He had never expected that one of them could get hurt. They had seemed so powerful.
"So tired-" was all Jania could say before passing out.
"It is to be expected, healing organic seems to tire them out and makes them extremely hungry. The energy has to come from somewhere" spoke Littleman even before Chris could ask his question.
"So what now? What will the council do, What will Phosphoros do?" asked a now calmed down Infy.
"I have stopped the council sensors from picking all this up, I have scrub Mars information networks and deleted anything related to events today. They will blend into myth soon enough"
With that Littleman also disappeared he didn't want to have any interaction with the locals. Chris picked up Jania and asked for Null to take them back to the Golden Chariot. They all headed back to the chariot.
Lisa was glad to see they had all returned but was still dealing with the aftermath of all this. She was currently communicating with The General, explaining that they were still blocking all external communications to and from Mars.
"Sir, give us a minute to recover and we will explain what we can, I can only recommend you tend to your wounded and try and limit the flow of information". Lisa cut off communication after that and raced to hug her son.
