"So why are the dragons helping us?" it didn't make sense to the boys' that the dragons had helped them on Delphi and now, here.
The dragons both spent some time thinking before answering.
"Your future is in flux, you were not supposed to be born, and aren't a typical seed. Pythia abilities had shown there are many possible futures where you either enslave or save our galaxy. We have chosen to feed our hope. There is also something or someone else has been interfering with your future making it hard for us to know how it will end. None of this was supposed to happen, it was one of the most improbable timelines"
All this talk about futures, and seeds was interesting but Null didn't see how it help them at the moment.
"So can you help us with Jania or getting off the planet?"
"no, neither of us have healing powers and we don't know a way off the planet. I also fear that our hands will soon be tied so we won't be able to help. I do suggest you talk to the young lady" with that the two will-o-wisp took off in different directions leaving the boys' with their thoughts.
They didn't ask to be special, and it seemed they were being punished for something they hadn't even done yet.
Infy suspected it was the voice of the universe that had corrupted the other seeds. They had already discovered that the voice can affect their decisions like when they released the abomination on DW12Z2. They now wondered how much of that had been of their own free will.
"So you think the voice is what is changing our timeline and is also what corrupted the others?" asked Null.
"Yeah, think about it. We assumed it was the universe's will that we needed to release that thing, what if someone else was controlling the voice?"
"I see, well there's not much we can do about it here, let work on getting big sis home and teaching these elves a lesson and then see how we can protect ourselves"
They arrived back where the two girls had been sleeping. Kikei was also awake now.
"Oh, it's you guys" Kikei gave the boys' a look of disappointment
"What would you rather we were Elves?" Null didn't know why but he found this girl to be aggravating.
"Whatever, I'm hungry you don't happen to have any food do you?"
"Not yet, working on it" answered Infy.
"How you're just standing there?" She honestly asked without any snark. Kikei was interested in finding out just what powers these young boys had.
Before the boys could answer she felt something fly overhead. Null walked over to what seemed like an empty space and then The Eous suddenly appeared. Null remove some food from the ship and walked back to Kikei.
"Kikei was it? here" Null threw her a survival bar.
"Yes it is, and thanks, uck, what is this?"
Null smiled, and remember the first time he had one of Lisa survival bars.
"It is a nutrient rich and perfectly balanced meal made from the finest ingredients, with a unique taste" Null quickly ate his bar, trying not to show any signs that he also found the taste to be disgusting.
"It's unique alright"
The two of them sat quietly, thinking. Null and Infy pulled out the data that Jania had collected and found that the satellite was still broadcasting information to The Eous. The stealth systems were still in place so they couldn't see much, but they could tell where the 6 cities were located.
The boys' were grateful for the information but didn't think it was worth the cost of Jania getting hurt, especially as they couldn't decide what to do with it. Their options were limited and they didn't even have a clear goal, they were only here as others had told them to come. They were just happy that Jania was still alive.
"Thank you"
Kikei was surprised "for what?"
"For saving Jania, how did you do it?" inquired Infy
Kikei explained how since coming to this planet she could see auras of living things, and how she link Jania aura with Null and Infy aura and Jania started to heal.
"A life field user, this is perfect. Try and use your ability on Jania again" Null was excited, if his and Infy hunch was correct she would be able to accelerate Jania healing.
"Wait, what? You need to focus and explain more, geez and they say I'm hard to follow"
"Infy will explain the boring details later, but just understand you have superpowers and if you concentrate you should be able to help heal Jania"
"I have tried, but it didn't work" Kikei wished she could have helped heal Jania as she still felt guilty over being saved.
Infy had been running many simulations in his mind, He believe it would require all three of them in a combinded effort to successfully heal Jania. They would have to use their unique sight and magic to put her broken bones back together while Kikei accelerated the healing. He explained his idea to Null who agreed, but they would need to connect with Kikei so she could see and hear what they did.
'Infy, you sure that's a good idea, we still don't know anything about this girl. The last time we connected that deeply we lost control' Null was talking about when they first met Jania and they accidentally connected too deeply which led to their first kill. They decided to wake up Jania and get her opinion.
Jania was feeling the effects of having a tree land on her, everywhere ached and she didn't want to wake up.
"what up little bro?"
"I think we can heal you, but it going to cause significant pain and it will rely on trusting Kikei" Infy was talking over their personal mind link.
"Well I trust you, and I also think she is not out to harm me so you should trust her". Jania instinctively trusted Kikei she didn't know why.
Infy and Null spent some time finalising their plan. Kikei was watching on curiously, the boys' had stopped mid-conversation and seemed to be planning something but she hadn't been told anything.
"Kikei, we have a plan to heal Jania, but it will rely on all 3 of us working together. You will have to trust us and we have to trust you" explained Null
"Do you trust me? you don't know me and I don't know you" asked Kikei
"We trust you don't want to hurt Jania or you wouldn't have saved her" answered Infy.
Jania also chimed in "Kikei you can trust him"
"So what's the plan?"
Infy explained the plan to everyone, how they would use their powers to put everything in place and then help Kikei channel her power to accelerate the healing.
"Wait you can see past clothing?" Kikei cover herself with her hands.
"Yeah, I don't see what the problem is. Everyone looks basically to same, except you do have that od—" Null received a stinging slap to the side of his face.
"You, you perv!" yelled Kikei
Jania couldn't stop laughing, but each time she moved she hurt herself.
"Ouch, Oi don't make me laugh it hurts too much. Little bro, you really are dense. Do not comment on a lady body."
"Huh?" Null was bewildered he didn't know what had just happened.
It took a minute but Jania was able to calm Kikei down enough to attempt the plan.
Null and Infy deepen the mental connection to Kikei so they could share all their senses.
"argh, it's too much it hurts" Kikei wasn't used to all the extra inputs. It took some time but they were able to calibrate it so that only Jania was in x-ray vision. They slowly started the procedure. Null and Infy had placed all the bones, blood vessels and rest of the elements together using an application of teleportation.
Kikei was admiring the work of the two boys while listing to what the boys called the voice of the universe. They had stripped it of all extraneous sounds and were only feeding Kikei the melody that related to the life field. The more she listened the more it felt familiar, she was starting to understand the mysteries of life, she found she was able to use Jania own aura and feed it back into the injured sections and accelerate the healing.
Jania wasn't sure how long it had been, but she was sure it had felt longer. The pain reminded her of the torture she received under the guise of training back on Mars. The pain was starting to become unbearable when she felt a warm sensation run down her back. The feeling was also coming back into her legs and the pain was starting to ease.
The procedure was nearing the end, and Null and Infy had reached their limit. They hadn't fully recovered from yesterday and filtering and sharing their senses had drained them mentally as well. They only just had enough energy to close the mind link before collapsing.
Jania move over to the boys and placed Null's head in her lap so it wasn't resting on the ground.
Running her hand through his messy hair "thanks Little bros".
