"You must be Elara right?" a pitchy female voice resounded into her ears just as she began eating.
She turned around and saw a group of girls standing at her back. she recognized one of them as a girl from one of her classes in school but the rest were totally unfamiliar to her.
curiously she asked back "and who might you be?"
The busty girl in front walked forward with aa sly smile on her lips, ass she walked her tiny waist twisted in odd angles that seemed totally impossible it was almost like she didn't have bones in her waist.
"no one you should know" she replied with a tiny voice that gave people ears an uncomfortable feeling.
Elara could feel a bad blood between the girl and her, she didn't understand what had caused the girl to dislike her when they haven't even met before now.
"I heard our college had a new school beauty and I was curious to see for myself just how beautiful she was but now that I've seen...tsktsk I'm a little kind of disappointed" the girl said arrogantly.
"it seems everyone at school has gotten a bad eyes" she snickered and so did all the girls at her back, their voice all sounded alike, it was as if they had practiced how to laugh like that for purposes like this.
hearing the girl statement Elara could ultimately discern what the girl problem was with her. She guessed the girl must have been previously regarded as the school beauty but after her arrival the two of them began getting compared and thus the girl was upset.
if it was other girls they would be intimidated by the girl arrogance but as for Elara she couldn't care less.
"oh really?" Elara sassed with a fairly arrogant air surrounding her.
"you must feel proud getting a bunch of boyfriends on your first day of sch?" The girl said clearly irritated by Elara's unintimidated attitude.
Elara chuckled but didn't reply, she ignored the girl and continued picking at the fruits on her plate.
"did one of your cheap boyfriends give that to you?" though annoyed with being ignored by Elara, she still tried to annoy her. as she spoke she moved forward to yank the purple teardrop gem bracelet on her wrist but Elara swiftly evaded her touch.
"keep your hands to yourself!" she bellowed furiously, the bracelet was given to her by her grandma after what happened Five years ago, she said it was a protective charm for her 18 year old birthday. although Elara didn't believe that a simple fragile gem could protect her she still wore it everyday and never took it off.
seeing she had successfully riled her opponent, the girl had a cheeky smirk on her face "so it really was from your boyfriend. tsk it seems you have a bad taste"
"my taste is none of your business, you should be think about yourself bimbo" Elara said back angrily, she hated the girl bitchy attitude.
being called a Bimbo infuriated the other girl and she stomped forward wanting to throw a slap across Elara's face but before her hand landed on Elara face it was suddenly blocked away by a walking stick.
"Now now what is causing the problem. Vivian shouldn't you be somewhere else?" a shaky voice rang into their ears and an old woman staggered forward with the aid of her walking stick.
Vivian was the girl having a confrontation with Elara, she looked disappointed seeing the old woman.
"hmph!" she harrumphed then spun her feet and walked away with her friends.
Elara looked at the girls walking away then turned to look at the old woman.
"um thanks I think" she thanked the old woman for stopping Vivian from slapping her earlier although she really didn't need the woman's help.
"you're welcome" the woman said but didn't turn to leave.
"what a nice bracelet, where did you get it?" her raspy voice rang out again.
'why was everyone suddenly interested in the bracelet?" Elara thought.
"my grandma, she gave me as a birthday gift" she answered truthfully.
The old woman nodded knowingly then spoke again "your grandma must really love you"
A smile appeared on Elara's lips, she stroke the bracelet gently then was reminded of how her grandma was the one that stayed with her in the hospital after that incidence, she had sustained a lot of injuries and had to be hospitalized, her own mother refused to come to see her but yet the Old woman stayed with her through out without complaining.
smiling she said "yeah she does"
"you're a lovable child yourself, no one would be able to hate you" the old woman said giving the girls cheek a little pinch.
'you definitely haven't met my mother' Elara scoffed in her head.
"you remind me of my grandchild" the woman dug out an apple from her side bag and handed it to Elara "here it's a gift, you should call me grandma"
