Iris felt a little better after hugging Thomas for a while. She rubbed the man's face and chuckled softly.
"When did you wake up?"
"A few hours ago." Thomas took Iris' hand and brought it to his lips. "You're all right now, right?"
Iris nodded. She then realized that she was now lying on the bed, not Thomas. Her cheeks flushed like a boiled crab, and with an awkward movement, she lowered her legs to the floor.
Iris didn't know how long she had been asleep and had nightmares. She was so embarrassed she didn't notice Thomas moving her from the chair to the bed. She could only hope that he didn't look embarrassed.
"I… I'll make some food," Iris said nervously. "What do you want to eat?"
"Anything." Thomas smiled gently, watching Iris move out of his room.
Litzy stretched. She jumped and snorted at Thomas, wagging her tail at the prince's feet.
Thomas sneered inwardly. Had it not been for Iris' pet, he would have skinned her alive.
