Chapter 18 - Snake's Nest 3

The little girl gasped in surprise at Minu's voice, she turned her head and smiled showing her canine teeth, her eyes narrowed, in front of her there was a large egg lying on the grass, it was white and looked around, bigger than the egg Iris had met in the cave.

Iris looked around, there was no sign of Thomas, she didn't find Thomas anywhere, only trees and rocks all around them, and let's not forget the small snakes slithering past in front of them without being bothered in the slightest.

"Is the boy an egg?" Morgan asked ahead of Iris, he approached with wide strides, surrounding the egg curiously.

Iris looked at Minu frantically, the little girl pushed away Morgan's hand which started to grope her egg, she hissed loudly while glaring.

"Well ... seems too late," said Minu with a long sigh. Iris looked at the egg and the little girl alternately, she growled.

"You want him?" The little girl pointed at the egg she was sitting on, she grinned widely. "Come on, get it if you can."

Iris widened her eyes, right after the little girl's eyes blinked, a giant white snake emerged from the shallow waterfall right in front of them, making the water churn, soaking the land, the white snake opened its mouth wide and swallowed the eggs whole, the little girl jumped on the snake's head.

"Come on."

The little girl on her hips looked down at Iris, Iris clenched her fists in anger, her hands moved, tree roots emerged from the ground and came close to her grip, forming a pointed stick.

The white snake coiled around, protecting its bulging stomach, part of its body was submerged in water, Iris ran and jumped furiously, she drew her stick at the little girl, but the little girl moved fast, she dodged and kicked Iris.

"BRUSH!" Iris was thrown onto a rock in the shallows.

Morgan was about to move to help Iris, but Minu immediately grabbed his arm, the man shook his head slowly.

"Don't interfere, it's a girl's problem."

"What?" Morgan asked confusedly.

"Your friend has already become an egg, only she can help him get out of there," said Minu casually, sitting down on a rock.

"I don't understand," said Morgan, he glanced at Iris, who was fighting the snake girl, the sound of the water crashing echoed.

"Don't worry. Your partner is just pretending to be weak." Minu leaned his body against a rock, Morgan frowned. He never liked people who talked for long periods.

"Iris?"

Minu whistled, her eyes full of mockery, she shrugged. "You know nothing?"

Morgan sat still, looking thoughtful, before finally shaking his head.

"She's one of the great wizards, but she's more like a Red Witch."

Morgan looked up, his eyes widened in shock, he knew that Iris was a Witch, but he didn't know that Iris was one of the legendary great wizards, besides that Iris was a Red Witch.

The Red Witch were famous for their sadistic past, and that Red Witch was Iris?

Morgan couldn't believe it, he remembered the time when he first met Iris, he didn't feel any evil aura from Iris's body; she just looked like an ordinary Witch.

"My advice is you better leave before he does anything to you," continued Minu again, he noticed Morgan's blank face, took a deep breath. "That boy, shouldn't be blind yet, but having the Red Witch beside him shortens his life. I think he already knows."

Morgan watched as Iris managed to knock the snake girl into the water, the white snake remained silent as if the two women's fight didn't bother her at all, her eyes closed under the water.

"I can't," Morgan said after watching Iris from a distance for so long, he took a deep breath. "She's a Red Witch or not, it doesn't matter. I'll see with my own eyes what she is. She's mine."

Morgan is a person who sticks to his words, if his heart has set something, then no one can argue with anyone including himself, he has asked Iris to be his Luna, to be his partner and that woman is his. Iris of hers, whatever the future may bring, they must be together.

Even though the bully boy was still with them.

Minu chuckled hearing Morgan's words, he got up and straightened his body. He smiled a little, as long as he lived as a half-snake human, only this time another race had such strong determination like Morgan, although he admitted that this man was more or less the same as him, equally naive.

"We're here to ask for your help to break the White Wizards curse. Not to fight like this," Morgan protested when he saw Iris' clothes were tattered and soaked, her face tangled like her hair.

"I know, but my partner found you guys first." Minu crossed his legs on the rock, the two of them were both watching Iris and the snake girl fight.

"The curse can only be broken by a stone belonging to the Fairy race. My partner has it, it should be easy if he hasn't become an egg. He is currently in the snake's stomach, and only people who are cursed can take it there," Minu explained calmly, he looked up at the blue sky, enjoying the breeze that blew because of Iris and her partner's fight.

"That means Thomas has to fight the snake?"

"Well … that's how it is. If he succeeds, he'll live a little longer."

"A little?" Morgan asked confusedly, his eyes fixed on Minu.

"I haven't told you yet? There are three stones, my partner is an Land Fairy. There are still water and fire elves. You must collect them before your friend's body is paralyzed."

Morgan glared, he thought after meeting Minu, the curse would be over, but apparently, there were still two more stones to collect. It's going to be a long journey, how long will it take him and Iris to collect the stones before Thomas dies?

"If Thomas fails, what will happen?" Morgan asked again, calculating how long Thomas would survive the terrible curse with them.

"He's dead. What else?" Minu laughed carelessly, Morgan's question sounded like a silly joke in his eyes, he stretched his body and yawned widely. Being in the sun like this made him sleepy easily.

"Right now, all we're doing is waiting. It's okay, I'm going to bed." Minu lay down on the grass, pillowed his arms he closed his eyes, Morgan looked back at Iris, then looked at the big snake coiling under the water, his eyes narrowed, he smiled.
