Sheshije woke up with a throbbing headache at dawn. The birds who freely took resident on the mkame tree which majestically stood at the center of her homeyard were singing melodiously to welcome the new day.
Her mind was in a state of frenzy. Something mysterious seemed to be meddling up with her mind. Some images were flashing on her mind which she couldn't fathom if they were visions or dreams. She was pretty sure the scenarios playing in her clogged mind were not a reality.
All she could remember was her coming home the previous day very furious for what Kodawa had done to the poor hunter.
'What are these images of me kissing and feeding the stranger? when did that happen? how comes I don't remember anything of the sort? ' she asked no one in particular.
Brushing off the images to be mere dreams she got out of her papyrus made bed. It was slightly dark and it seemed her mother was yet to wake up to milk the cows.
Suddenly an idea popped up on her mind. " Now that everyone is still asleep this is the perfect time for me to run away from here and escape this madness which is about to befall me in the next few days! am not going to marry that brat! Nikakara kuuhwa niuo kishashi bhanikome! (let them kill me if I get married to that bastard!)" She vehemently declared.
Her eyes went wide in shock when another realization hit her head, her heart tightened in guilty and pain. " I guess I will have to postpone my escape for now...I can't leave this place knowing pretty well that the poor stranger was dragged to the palace yesterday because of me..."

Seghete hadn't closed his eyes for even a second since the moment he had used his magic to teleport Sheshije back to her home. Afterwards he had uttered some spells to make her forget everything that had taken place in the dungeon. He didn't want her risk her life again, coming to the palace to bring him food might cause a disaster to her and who knows maybe her entire family may end up in the cell because of it. Though he would prevent such incidents from happening by use of his magic but he still can't afford to let her risk her life.
Recalling her lavender scent, Seghete let out a deep sigh. Only the gods knew how she was capable of driving him crazy without any attempts.
He groaned when he remembered how he had kissed her and the way she had willingly welcomed him to her tender lips.
He felt a sudden urge to break free and go for her so that he could have all of her for himself.
The guards who were now fully awake and back to their senses gave him a sharp look when his fists banged the chains Wich were binding him.
At that moment footsteps were heard coming from the entrance of the secret dungeon.
"Good morning oo great hunter from the unknown kingdom located in the middle of nowhere," greeted the prince sarcastically.
" Good morning too the village mongrel, oo great coward who brings shame to the mighty kingdom of Ukadama," Seghete retorted back with the same velocity.
Kodawa's face darkened after hearing the humiliating response from the hunter but he decided to let it be known that the hunters verbal attacks were making her insides boil in rage.
mastering a smile he answered " Tssk...kicks of a dying goat are worth enduring because afterwards one will enjoy eating the meat"
" Thanks for the encouragement my prince," Seghete answered nonchalantly .
" Everyone sees who is the dying goat between the two of us dear hunter anyways normalize addressing me as your prince since very soon you will be begging for your head to remain intact to your neck...but worry not it won't be that soon..Am planning to invite you to my wedding first..I want you to witness how me and that mannerless chick get married.. and-"
There was a loud growl from the man in chains.
"I will never allow you to touch even a single strand of her precious hair! may the gods forbid you are not going to get married to her, maybe if am dead!!!" Seghete roared.
The prince was so shocked with the sudden outburst the hunter had just portrayed. Recovering from the shock, he let out a loud laughter. He looked at the man sitting weakly with chains allover his body and concluded that the man was very stupid.
"He who laughs Last laughs the longest my prince, you never know when the tables are going to turn" Seghete answered calmly.
" Let me go from here. Am going to meet my bride I don't think I have anymore seconds left for you dear hunter...see you later can't wait to embrace her in my arms"
With that the prince walked out of the dungeon leaving behind a cursing Seghete.
