Chapter 54 - Troublemakers ( edited)

The clamor outside the door grew louder by the second. The chattering outside was so loud and intermittent, that by the mingling of countless voices it was difficult to figure out what they were talking about.

However, of all things, one could be pretty sure that this chattering outside wasn't some amicable talking.

The people outside seemed to be arguing quite aggressively.

Wei turned his head to face the door and stared at it intently for a while. His gaze was deep yet carried a sense of unfathomable hollowness. It was impossible to decipher the thoughts behind this man's gaze. It was as if all his thoughts were covered under a thick layer of mist never willing appear at the surface of his eyes.

He stood there motionless for a while listening to the loud noise outside after which he suddenly moved and turned back to look at the girl who was deep in her sleep.

He stared at the girl's sleeping visage for a moment before his gaze landed on her chest which was still bound tightly by the bloodied gauze.

He had previously intended to remove it and replace it with the fresh one. It was covered in blood and couldn't be worn any longer, it would only dye any clothe he put on her later. And even if he didn't mind the blood, there was no saying others wouldn't. What if they saw the blood and dived right into her clothes there and then to tend her wound again, wouldn't it cause Jiang Ying Yue's identity to be exposed?

So, it had to be taken out and replaced. Even if he knew he was going against the morals between man and woman he had to do it. He couldn't just stand here waiting for the girl the wake-up, right? Or wait for the people to find out her real identity?

But..... now it seems like he would have to delay this matter and go outside to deal with some troublemaker first.

Wei gently lifted the quilt lying at the foot of the bed and covered the girl's whole body only leaving the tiny head outside. He then pressed the two sides of the quilt under the girl's body to ensure that it covered her body well and stayed there until he returned to dress her up.

After making sure everything was in place Wei opened the door and stormed outside the room.

Creak....

" No, you all get out of here!"

" No, we're here for that brat. We must take him with us!"

" Yes, bring out that boy."

" He must be taken away for judging."

" To hell with you people! To hell with your judgement! Do you think that you are some kind of "Dog" we must obey you. Get out!"

" What?...Did you just call us dog? How dare you?!"

" So what? Dog, dog, dog....I call you a thousand times dog~"

" Aaah...I am going to kill you!"

" Aaahh, brother~, seniors~, save, I am so scared."

" You--"

Dong!!

After hearing enough Wei slammed the door shut back creating a noise loud enough to startle the crowd who were busy arguing and stood right before it with his arms folded against his back.

Wei's sudden dramatic arrival brought about a drastic change in the atmosphere that prevailed over a moment ago.

It was now eerily quiet, even the moving air seemed to freeze.

Those people couldn't understand for a while what sort of fear took over them making them all turn mute and motionless like stone statues.

They only knew their sixth senses were warning them against some oncoming danger.

They all simultaneously turned towards the door where the noise came from and saw the immortal- like-man standing there motionless, his hawk-like gaze piercing through them.

The group of troublemakers shuddered under his piercing gaze and even Tian Shan and his companions had the same reactions. Wei who always wore an indifferent face now had a scarily cold and fierce look about him. They had never seen him this way.

Previously they even wondered how would Wei look if he gave up on his indifference.

And now...there you go, they finally saw how he looked when he decided to give up on his indifference--His strong jaws were clenched tightly, his brows slightly knitted and his deep pair of eyes looked unfathomable and dangerous--as he stared straight at them.

Despite how handsome he was his attractive looks couldn't conceal the dangerous lethal aura around him. He was just like the top predator eyeing them as his prey. And unfortunately, they were unknowingly succumbing to him as they stood there in trepidation.

It was only after a while they realized how foolish they had been when the memory of the morning incident flashed across their mind.

Yes, what's wrong with them?!

Why were they so scared of this incapable man.....when scary was that little guy with devious nature and poisonous tongue?

This man here was useless there was nothing to fear.

Remembering the absolute fact their fear was soon replaced by scorn, the intuition that long forbade them from offending this unfathomable man was brushed off carelessly and trampled under their feet.

" Oh...it's you, scum, where's that brat? Bring him out. Bring out that bastard!" A rustic man who came with the group of people demanded outrageously.

" Hey!! Who are you calling scum and bastard?! You are the scum, your whole family is the scum! You are the bastard, your ancestors are the bastard!!!" Tian Lan roared soon after scolding back the man who was humiliating their companions. She had been fired up this whole time scolding anyone who scolded her friend.

She didn't even wait for Wei to respond as she continued scolding, " If I remember correctly you are the pervert who likes peeping at other people's private parts, right? You like peeping when people take bath.Oh...wait--"

" Shuuuush! Shut up!" The man threatened the girl to keep quiet with his fierce gaze.

" Hmph! This is not over. What was I saying again? Yeah...I also remember....you like to swing both sides. You also enjoy doing perverted things quite well, right? And now here you come calling other people scum and bastard when you are the cheap one. Huh!! You know what, it's none of our business who you like, who you make love with. But you dare to use others' weakness to insult them, you can't blame me for picking your sore spots." Tian Lan, however, wasn't so easy to scare instead she pointed at the and continued scolding. She was a bold one, she wasn't a bit embarrassed when she said all these things. Her eyes were spitting fire instead. Even Tian Shan, her cousin was left stunned and speechless by her.

' This girl, when did she become so bold and sharp-mouthed?'

" What...what nonsense are you babbling?! These are all lies. Stop making such claims when you have no evidence to prove them. Instead of making such baseless rumors why don't you think of ways to save your friend and yourself....you have no idea where you have landed yourself into." The revealed all his malicious thoughts on his face. He hated them, especially Jiang Ying Yue, and wanted her to experience a miserable death.

He hated her for revealing his deepest and darkest secrets and...he wasn't the only one who did.

The people who were causing a ruckus here were mostly those people who got baptized earlier by Jiang Ying Yue's poisonous tongue.

They couldn't their anger and decided to get their sweet revenge when they saw the opportunity.

They instigated people trying to bend public opinion in the favor of punishing the murderer and brought them here to arrest Jiang Ying Yue to judge her.

They wanted to make this matter big and turn everyone against Jiang Ying Yue. So that when the Guardians came they would only be hearing things that were against Jiang Ying Yue's favor and then there was no way she could escape the punishment.

The boy was bound to doom under their schemes. They had everything planned.

And...the boy couldn't blame them.

Who told him to be so annoying?!

These people wanted to sully Jiang Ying Yue's name as much as they could.

They pointed out that she was an unethical person who fought deviously--the way she killed Fan Chang using her poisonous needle.

If they could even want to point out how scary this person was with the way she read them like an open book.....but they dare not.

If they did wouldn't they pit themselves into their own grave?

So, even among themselves these men never spoke about this. Only they knew how scary this boy was who looked so young and naive.

He must be a devil reincarnation.
