".....Cai~ why do you think Brahma chose her?"
' Ah...finally I could see her using her brain.'
Abhram sighed in relief feeling his depressed mood turning a bit lighter.
He had thought he was the one only of their bunch who had managed to keep some brain after years of isolation.
It would be a disaster if that happened.
This space had already taken over the autonomy they were now just a useless bunch. However, they couldn't revolt, they couldn't fight back. If they did he was very sure they would be kicked out without any qualms.
Therefore to secure their positions and guarantee their future happiness they must drag their master into their camp. And this needed brains and a lot of scheming.
Although he looked happy seeing Azure using her brain he didn't manage to answer her question.
Instead, he responded with some frustration, " You ask me, but who can I ask this?"
" Huh?...is she not good?" Azure asked worriedly, there was a shadow of fear under her eyes.
" Not good?....huh, good or bad, kind or evil these are the most inappropriate words to describe her." Abhram who had accompanied their master shared his views.
"...then, is she like her?" Azure asked softly with her slightly trembling voice as if just a reminder of that person brought her fear and discomfort.
" No!" Abhram's response was firm and without the slightest hesitation, " That person can't even be compared to our master's nail. Our master is unpredictable but she'd never get blinded by greed and power, she may be lazy sometimes but she has her principles, she may also be evil but her evil acts are never directed towards the innocent...Our master would never walk in the same path as that person, she would never treat us as tools like that person had done. She's the kind of person who can survive in darkness without being tainted by it."
Upon hearing this Azure's pale complexion improved a bit, " It's good~ as long as our master doesn't follow that person's footsteps everything's good...but, Cai, how can you be so sure."
At this Abhram gave a strange smile as he shook his head while saying, " I am not sure. I am just betting on my intuition and from what I've seen all this while. She's completely different from her."
Jiang Ying Yue felt that countless mosquitoes were humming beside her ears, biting on her flesh. Feeling irritated she waved her hands trying to swat the mosquito that was sitting on her cheek.
Smack!
" Ugh..."
' What's happening? Why's this mosquito so big and flesh, and it can even groan in pain?'
Her muddy mind slowly turned and started to get clear.
What was that voice again?....
It was so soft and waxy.
Jiang Ying Yue couldn't remember any animal or bird with that sort of voice.
She was feeling very from all the blood but she wanted to see what creature made that sweet noise. So, she forced herself to open her eyes.
As Jiang Ying Yue slowly opened her eyes what greeted her wasn't the ceiling of her room at the inn or the blue sunny sky of the Brahma space but instead, two pudgy, meaty round balls almost sticking against her face.
Out of these two Jiang Ying Yue immediately recognized the familiar one: he was her Baby dumpling.....but glancing at another one, a meatball smaller than her Abhram an ominous feeling slowly crept into her heart.
" You two, what are you doing here?"
" Master..."
" Master..."
As soon as the two meatballs jumped to answer her question Jiang Ying Yue's horror came true.
Mas...master!!....
Her life was over!
She couldn't handle one Abhram and now she stumbled into another one.
It wasn't that she didn't like kinds. They were adorable who wouldn't like them? It was just that....they were too handful.
She looked at the adorable doll in a daze and worry trying to guess what was happening to her.
" Cai~ what happened to master? Does she not like me?" Azure asked softly but Jiang Ying Yue heard her clearly and suddenly she felt she was cold towards the child.
Jiang Ying Yue wanted to get up and tell the girl it wasn't like that but she suddenly remembered she was injured and couldn't move easily.
She beckoned Abhram to help her sit up.
" Baby dumpling, who is she?" she asked softly as Abhram helped her sit.
" Master, she is Azure, one of the guardians of Brahma space," Abhram explained Azure's identity.
" She is a guardian then why did she appear only now?" This time Jiang Ying gestured for the little girl to come near her as she asked this question.
" Master, I was separated from the rest back then due to some reason and left alone here in this Purple Cloud continent. It's been many years." It was Azure who answered.
Jiang Ying Yue heard her patiently and caught every word of her, especially the 'rest', and another ominous feeling rose in her heart.
" The rest?...."
" Yes, Cai, Min, Jing, and others...." Azure listed a few names.
Glancing at Jiang Ying Yue's changing face as Azure continued reciting the names Abhram facepalmed and hurriedly interrupted, " Azure.....that's enough for today. You've scared our master enough."
Azure who had no idea what she had done looked back innocently and asked in her milky voice, " Cai~ did I do something wrong!"
" No..no, baby you didn't do anything wrong." Jiang Ying Yue who regained her composure hurriedly comforted the doll resigning to her fate of being a nursery headmistress. She knew that they were not actual babies but looking at their small stubby figures her heart couldn't help but melt into a puddle and maternal instincts always acted up compelling her treat them tenderly.
" Really?~" Azure blinked her large eyes innocently.
" Yes, yes..." to which Jiang Ying Yue repeatedly nodded.
" Then...why does Cai look like that?"
" Who's Cai?" Jiang Ying Yue asked feeling puzzled, " Are you referring to Abhram?"
" Yes, he's Cai, the talented one. Our previ--"
Azure almost let the cat out of the bag when Abhram rushed to stop her, " Azure, stop that my nickname is not Cai but Baby dumpling. Don't call me by that name again."
Abhram's reaction was quite big which made Jiang Ying Yue frown deeply.
That brat hated that nickname that she gave her and always asked her not to call him Baby dumpling.
....But, what happened now?
Cai was such a good nickname. But he wasn't willing to be called that. Instead, he even looked a bit disgusted by that name.
Jiang Ying Yue felt that something was not right yet she never forced them to tell her. Because she felt that everyone had the right to keep their own secret. As long as their secret didn't hurt she was fine not knowing them.
Azure also realized her slip of the tongue and glanced at Abhram guiltily.
" Baby, stop looking at him tell me how should I call you?" Jiang Ying Yue saw her unease and tried to divert her attention.
" Eh...master, can you give me a name just like Ca...I mean Abhram." Azure requested softly looking a bit shy with her flushed round cheeks.
" Haha...." Jiang Ying Yue found her too cute as she turned to pinch her fleshy cheeks, " Alright....hmm, how about TangTang, candy?"
" Master, I love it." Azure giggled expressing her joy while on the side Abhram looked glum.
Did their master pick such a good name for her when she called him a dumpling?
Abhram was displeased at this unfair treatment as he sulked at the corner.
It was only after Jiang Ying Yue walked over along with Azure and hugged the baby boy was he finally appeased and looked much better.
