"Where are you going again? It's the weekend." Cerise questions Sal, who she knew was going out because of the loose thread on her pinky.
"I'm going to dance! bye." Sal leaves in a hurry. These days, Sal has been drifting from Cerise, always at ZM and never having time for the two of them anymore. Sal doesn't visit her at work or at college too like she said she would. Cerise is left to sulk in her bedroom.
The apartment they shared was cozy and modern, with monochrome furniture decorating the place and tall windows aligning the walls. Suddenly, Cerise remembers the last time someone broke into their apartment, where they ended up running and Sal wouldn't spill about anything that had happened. She still needs to know.
Her phone rings, Cerise picks it up. "Hello?"
"This is your father"
"Is something wrong? it's the weekend isn't it?" Cerise queries, she's sure it's a Saturday today.
"The media is outside of the Rubylust, don't let anyone in your apartment and lay low." Her father sounds sick over the phone, but Cerise pays it no mind as she's more curious on the situation.
"Fleur and Trinity released their energy in the area, they're fighting inside the building and the media are doing their best to get information. Stay away and don't talk to any interviewers." Cerise's father ends the call before she gets to retort.
Worry spikes, Cerise knows that Jean is already injured and that he might not fight back as observed from their previous fights. In all her 20 years of living, this is the time she decides to go against her father big time. There's no way she would let those two fight to death.
Cerise runs out, hails a cab and ushers the driver to go faster. Indeed, outside Rubylust was a giant crowd, cameras and mics everyone, people flocking all the exits. Cerise decides, she'll use her privilege. She squeezes her way into the crowd, when she arrives to the front she reveals her identity to the guards. They immediately let her in, causing the crowd to get angry.
The offices are empty and the building is shaking. She immediately knows where everyone is. Unfortunately, the elevator is out of order, so she makes a run for it on the stairs, hoping that she isn't too late and that no one is badly hurt.
The swan arrives with short breaths, there, everyone was, in the basement, shouting for them to stop but not being able to get any closer due to Jean and Trinity using their abilities. Cerise moves forward, excusing herself whenever she bumps into someone and they whisper, recognizing the heiress as she walks towards the fight. Will she be able to stop it?
"You two again!" Cerise shouts but they're deaf. Jean spots her but turns his attention back to Trinity who's trying to smash him with a giant boulder formed by broken concrete.
"Reveal yourself monster!" Trinity swings the boulder at Jean, Jean raises his hand and immediately the entire boulder breaks into tiny little rocks.
Trinity rolls his eyes, goes on all fours and prepares to launch himself onto the other Aurum. Cerise is left helpless, unable to stop them. The whispers behind her grow louder, repeating the words stupid, irresponsible and useless. She faces the company members, eyes them one by one and turns back and runs towards Jean. A stupid but sure fire move to stop them.
Suddenly there's a strong gust of wind coming from Jean, Trinity thinks this must be an attack, so he chants under his breath, all the pillars of the basement magnetically being forced towards Trinity's body.
And the unexpected happens. Jean's shirt rips, showing his built figure underneath all the clothing, and then, black wings sprout from his back, a wingspan around that of two cars.
Despite the shock of everyone, Cerise continues to run towards Jean and tackles him down.
"This isn't the time for that Cerise! I'm trying to save you all from that monster," Trinity's voice booms in the quiet, wide area.
"I don't know what you're saying. if you hurt him you hurt me!"
"Get out of the way-" Cerise is pushed over by Jean, who flies in impossible speed toward Trinity and proceed to hit him with a strong kick to the head. Trinity remains unaffected however, his steel body proving to be a better shield than it is.
Cerise doesn't give up, running in between them once more, she doesn't care if she looks stupid at this point, she can hear the media and everyone else telling her to move away but then again she didn't come here for nothing. "Stop this!" Jean moves back to Cerise, his dark wings shielding the two of them from Trinity's rocks.
"Cerise listen to me! That man is a murderer! A man with wings and an invisible blade-" Trinity alerts her, making a move forward to try and pry her away from Jean.
Cerise freezes. Why is it always murder? In a flash, she blacks out, sees herself from another point of view and unable to see anything but a blur.
"I'm a Queen, and you shall obey me as I see fit." Said Queen lashes out at everyone in the building, an air barrier forming around her and Jean.
"I am your ruler." Thus, they disappear into thin air.
Silence...
Everyone in the room panics, reporters start to question the employees, and the employees run to their offices to inform the director of what just happened.
Trinity frowns. Two against one. Why are there such villains in this world?
