Cerise wakes up with a groan, eyes puffy and voice hoarse. She looks around her room, there's a tiny, scary spider staring at her from the corner of her closet. "I'm sorry little guy I'm gonna have to kill you." Cerise grimaces at the word "kill", remembering earlier's events and the revelation to her, She still couldn't believe it and it may not look like it but she's trying to accept it. Acceptance is key.
She crawls off from her bed, rolled newspaper in hand as she slowly walks toward the little critter. Just as she's about to hit it, the spider stands, fangs out and hairy little hands in the air. Cerise screams and drops the newspaper, runs outside of her room and shuts it closed.
On the couch, she sees Sal and a potato chip floating in the air. "When did you get home?" Cerise asks, "An hour ago. I saw Mr. model leaving your room." Cerise flushes at Sal's statement, what could he have been doing in there while she was asleep?
Jean had told her everything but didn't mention staying with her right after she locked herself in her room. Just before Sal leaves, Cerise remembers she has some important things to talk about with Sal. She frowns, heaves a sigh after thinking of what to say first. "We need to talk Sal."
Sal turns her head with a questioning look, wings drooping from the sudden change in mood. "Spill."
"I can see you Sal." It's supposed to be good news but Sal knows its way different than that. She knows. Her heart rate spikes, She knows! When did she remember?
"Jean and Trinity explained everything, and I figured you've been hiding things from me." Cerise crosses her arms, glaring at her best friend. Disappointment visible on her features. "All I need to know is why you refused to tell me anything,"
Sal feels the pressure, and she feels betrayed, seeming as if Cerise didn't care to understand her side. "Put yourself in my shoes Cerise. What was I supposed to do when you hit your head when we were younger and you forgot everything?" Sal moves from the couch and floats toward Cerise. She gazes at her strongly, her eyes sharp and accusing. "What was I supposed to do when you were out there killing people and all I could do was watch because I was afraid of you?"
Cerise furrows her brows, offended. "You could've at least told me, I'm your best friend and you hid what was crucial to my life!"
"I didn't tell you to protect you-"
"You protected no one! Look what happened now? Have you even seen the news?" Cerise's breaths are cut short, her eyes blurried from tears and vision showing black dots. She storms back to her room, spider still staring at her from the wall.
"Cerise open up" Sal knocks on the door but Cerise continues to ignore. She isn't ready to deal with her best friend. Though she asked to talk she can't continue with the sincere disloyalty of Sal.
The following days were no different, Sal kept knocking on the door, leaving food, crying and telling her that she's going out. At one point the door knob kept jiggling, as if being forced open, then loud bangs resonate throughout the room. Could Sal be taking out her frustration on the door?
Cerise peeks through the gap on the floor. She sees a pair of boots, one too big and musty to be owned by Sal. "Who the hell…" Cerise whispers, covering her ears in fear when the banging gets stronger.
This can't be happening. Not right now, Sal isn't home either. Cerise reaches for her phone but before she gets to dial anything, a man barges in, wood slamming cement.
The aurum had an electric bolt ready to strike on one hand. He charges up and strikes exactly where Cerise is.
Meanwhile in ARIA headquarters…
"She almost killed my baby," Yeli complains, holding one of her spiders on her arm.
"I've sent out another agent to get her, he should've arrived by now."
"What will you do with her once she gets here?" Yeli asks Louejone who's seated by the abnormally large windows acting as a wall between the sky and the headquarters.
"She's a potential Queen. I'll eliminate her." Louejone grits his teeth, anyone that threatens to take his place as a royal will face death. Why would he be the overlord if he were to fall behind anyone?
"You know you can keep her as a puppet,"
"I'd rather not Yeli, she could be a dangerous being. Especially with Fleur by her side nearly all the time. This is the only chance we have of detaining the half-breed." He refers to Cerise, who he watches through the advance GPS tracker on his agent.
The man strikes the lightning bolt at Cerise but he misses a few centimeters as Cerise rolls over, she tries to make a run for the window but fails as she's struck by a second shot.
She falls to the floor and immediately the agent picks her up. Louejone can see the agent walking to the exit but the screen blacks out and he hears his agent scream.
"What could she have done?" Yeli raises her brow, then goes into position, using her abilities she spies on Cerise's apartment with her spider.
There, Cerise stands, hair longer and glowing in black, tied around the agent's neck along with one hand. She chants under her breath and the agent, formerly a human body begins to disintegrate into ash.
"She turned him into dust." Yeli states.
Louejone slams his hands on his desk, furiously stomping out of the room.
"I guess he's still too much of a hot-head to go after her himself" Yeli pets her spider, thoughts running through her mind before she sets out a plan. Yeli goes into position once again, this time commanding any nearby spider to hide themselves in Cerise's apartment and all of her connections.
"This will help."
