"Beauty with brain hmm?" Albert cocked on of his eyebrows and asked playfully, the smile never removed from his lips.
"And she is on the verge of loosing her cool. If she really loose her temper here, trust me, you are not going to like it. So cut the crap and get on to the point." Mantisha could not help but being harsh. With the each passing seconds, she felt that the nagging feeling in her mind changed into something solid and if that was the truth she was seeking, it would become very complicated. Once again, her known world would collapse.
Albert's smile brightened. He seemed happy, he seemed like a child who had just gotten a surprise.
"Dealing with smart brains is something I always prefer. But you see, this also has a side effect. Nothing is going like the way I wanted."
Mantisha's lips twitched. So this was it! He already knew, and with the way he did the things, any lady would fall for it. Mantisha also smiled back.
"What a honey trap it was. Using your charm, deliberately dressing up, showing your hobby, an ultra fast motorcycle ride everything you said or did were something that could impress a lady. You chose a public place to meet, knowing people would witness it, take pictures, post it on social media and gossip about it. That would make us the rumoured couple, and people would start to search about my identity too."
Eyeing Albert's unwavering smile, Mantisha's irritation increased. Taking a short breath, she continued,
"Then you chose a high end restaurant and reserved a table where only aristocrats with bundles of money can only dine in. Seemingly it was to impress me but…"
Mantisha leaned closer and continued, "You knew that I was related to Adi Roy, so you purposely chose this restaurant, so that he would know about this crap, an eyewash named 'date'."
Albert's smile faded slightly. After a short pause, he replied.
"If I deny everything, would you believe?"
"You already admitted everything. Your expression said everything."
Albert shook his head, as a trace of genuine smile appeared on his thin lips.
"You see, you read my expressions. This is something I always liked about you. Let's be frank at this point. We both know what's going on inside our heads. So why not confessing it and make this date work."
Mantisha's lips twitched. Had this guy lost his mind! How could he still think about this date!
"Okay. I will start first." Albert raised her hands and motioned like he was submitting himself to her.
"Many of the things you said was my initial plan, but not all of those. Like, I never planned what would we talk about. Whatever I said to you, I guarantee that it came straight from my heart. You actually looked pretty, cute, like you always do."
Mantisha pursed her lips. She was going to scold him for lying again but not this time. She wanted him to go on and confess everything.
"I might showed off my wealth, but that was unintentional. I only wanted you to know me more, and it's just happened to be that my motorcycle is one of the expensive brands in the world. My only motive was to impress you."
Albert stopped after this. His gaze fell upon her, his eyes started flickering.
"It was true that I chose both of the places purposely, but I also wanted to impress you, the girl I like."
Mantisha bit her lips. She really wanted to ask him if this still be counted as a confession of love or not.
"Not only me, but also Uncle Adi." Mantisha stated in a flat tone. Her voice devoid of any emotion.
On this point, their orders came. Mantisha was stunned to see the amount of dishes he ordered. She did not have any idea that the chef's special menu for this day, in a high end restaurant like this, could contain this much dishes. And each and every dish of it seemed luxurious. With all of this, a bottle of mineral water was also placed on the table. The Waiter put both of the glasses straight and poured water in it. Then asked them if anything else was needed or not, then left
Looking up towards him, Mantisha continued,
"You just said that you liked me. Based on your observations, should know that I am afraid of public opinions. But you took that opportunity, and with the way you designed everything, you wanted to press me with the public opinions. You thought there was nothing to deny if a proposal came to me from a person like you, but you still did not want to take chances. You thought I could deny it, or might dely it for my studies, so you wanted to use the public opinions. You knew that I would not seek anybody's help so after a few days, I would definitely go to you, or you would come to my rescue." Mantisha's voice stiffened as she started saying the final part of his plan.
"You knew that by only being your girlfriend, I could escape from all the trolls. Cause it's easy to attack a nobody like me but everything is different when it comes to a noble young master like you."
