Chapter 59 - Nobody had been Able to Forget Me

He brought his face closer, looked into her eyes as his lips lightly touched on the back of her hand, and he placed a light kiss on it.

For a split second, Mantisha forgot to react. As his lips touched her hand, she felt her senses becoming numb. Her heart started pounding like a drum. With a pair of widely opened eyes she drew back her hand from his.

"You... Why!"

She did not understand why did he do that. This was not an occasion, not even an official meet. This was not a date either, nor their first time meeting each other. They even had not planned to meet. Then why did he do such a courteous gesture out of the blue!

"Why? Hmm." That man seemed to think for a moment or two, or atleast pretended to do so. Then, tilting his head aside slightly, he replied with a smirk. "Guess."

Mantisha did not say anything. Not that she had anything to say to him. But for the time being, she preferred to be silent. Especially, when she could still feel that violent sensation of the tight slap in her vision.

A wave of strangeness flushed past her head. She could not understand, why did she saw something so strange. She was scared to feel the vigor of it. It seemed so real, as if she had experienced it by her own. She felt it was way more intense than the nightmares she was having. But the strange thing was, this time she felt like she was living the moment. The pain felt so real that her cheek hurt.

Moreover, she looked at him suspiciously as she thought of the scene of him sitting on the top of her waist. His upper body naked, and eyes full of disgust and hatred. She felt like her waist was going to break, and his body weight was making her condition worse.

'If I was only hallucinating and all of these things were just the result of my imagination, then why did I saw him with his upper body naked! Why did he slapped me and cursed me! Why my hands were tied! Why the hell I felt the pain! I never see him that way or fantasize him. As far as I can remember, in the last one and half months, I never thought of him. Moreover, today I had the vision almost at the same time I heard his voice, even before looking at him. Just what in the world is happening with me!' Mantisha felt like she was going to collapse.

Seeing her being silent for quite a while and looking at him suspiciously, that man smiled again.

"Miss Mantisha, I know I am quite charming that no lady can ignore me. But staring at a man like this, don't you think it's a little rude. I mean, if a beautiful lady stare at someone like this, he might start getting the wrong idea."

As his last sentence fall, Mantisha scoffed. "Charming or not, you sure can be quite narcissistic."

"My abilities allow me to." With this words, he smiled like the Sun, then said, "And trust me, nobody had been able to forget me, till date."

Mantisha clicked her tongue as she said, "Yeah yeah, sure. Why not." Then grabbed the cream filled bun again to have another bite.

Seeing her not giving him any more scope to talk, he became a little annoyed. But in an instant, he hid that annoyance under his smiling face.

"So, you calling me with such a nick name, were you looking for the day to meet me again? Was our first meeting gave that much good impression?"

For a split second Mantisha stopped chewing, then started to chew again. She herself did not know why did she call him with such an intimate name!

She clearly remembered the words Evelyn said about him at the party. Not only he was one of the best apprentices of Uncle Adi, but also he had some troublesome background.

And all of a sudden he appeared here in front of her, saying this and that, that's also today among all days. If this would not make her suspicious, then what else would.

She gulped down the last bite she was having, then looked at him as she told,

"Mr. Matteo De Sica, don't flutter yourself so much."

Saying this Mantisha checked her remaining balance and started calculating in her mind for the further expenses she had to pay for. Then she grabbed her purse and put it into her bag and started going through the map on her phone. She had decided to walk there by foot because the navigation said it was around two kilometres away from there.

But someone ignored everything, and only focused on her expression and her face. As her words fell down, Matteo's smirk turned playful. With his blue eyes getting along with it, and the gold rims glittering under the warm sunlight, he said word by word.

"You can call me Matt if you want. Nobody had ever called me like that, and if you say..." Matteo leaned in front of the table a little as Mantisha furrowed her brows and lifted her gaze from her cellphone. "I will not allow anybody to call me like that, ever."
