Tick. Tick. Tick.
If biting her nails could bring a solution, Mantisha would surely bit half of her hands. The clock was ticking, and the time of her entry was coming nearer. And all she could think then was to run away.
She checked herself again on the mirror. Her expression was darkening with the each passing second as she felt that she was going to pass out. She wondered how her mom was doing downstairs in the hall.
"Do not you worry Young Miss. You are looking ravishing." Looking at her poor expression, Mia told her again.
"Assure me one more time and you will score half a century Mia." Mantisha deadpanned.
Mia could not help but smile. "If only that can calm you My Lady."
Mantisha squeezed the place between her eyebrows, "I really don't know about what is going to happen but you calling me Young Miss or My Lady is really getting on my nerves. Stop calling me that Mia. I am really tensed. One more 'My Lady' of yours, and I may really bite you."
Mia shut her mouth immediately as she saw her grave expression. At this rate, how would she going to smile and socialize all the time today!
At that very moment, a waiter finally came to call them.
Hearing the call, Mantisha's entire body stiffened. Only she knew, how much she hated public attentions. She shrunk back whenever gazes fall upon her.
When she got the thrid rank in her country on their school final examination, media surged to take an interview of her, called her and wanted to take a picture of her. But in her home, her mom did not allow anybody to enter and at outside, with her grandfather's influence, nobody dared to.
Her eyes dimmed suddenly, she really missed her grandfather. But Danish always said that he forgot to recharge his father's phone and he was resting or gone for a walk. After a while, she stopped asking for his grandfather. She believed that if he missed her, he would call her too. But that did not happen till date.
Mantisha sighed with anticipation. Clenching her fists, she got ready to enter into the party.
Neither any spotlight had flushed, nor any announcement had been made. But a grand door from a side of the hall was opened.
Everybody were busy buttering each other, socializing or seeking funds for their businesses. One by one they were going to the newlyweds to give them their blessings and gifts.
Thus, everybody just glanced at that direction casually for once. But when a figure appeared at their sight, their throats were tightened.
A young girl, seemingly in her early twenties had stepped in from the door. She was not tall and slender, in comparison that girl was short and slightly bulky. She had an elegant appearance with delicate facial features. It could be seen that she was not a British or French. Her complexion told that she came from some tropical area. May be she was from Middle East or South Asia. As everybody knew that Adi also belonged from an Asian country. But his guests today came from all over the world.
Apart from his family who were from India and his master's food family clan, who were from China and Hong Kong, almost nobody else holding an important position was invited from Asia. So the people in the party were quite surprised to see an unknown Asian girl with a grand appearance there.
They wondered if she was a Princess of some Asian country? Her appearance alone screamed that she was not any random person who could be meddled with.
She wore a bespoke, sky blue, off to the shoulder gown designed by Miss Eberly. It was said that this was the only creation by Miss Eberly in the last three years. Though it was released worldwide but it was a limited edition. Only five of them was created and each of them came with a different colour and slightly different styles. In this way, each of the gowns was unique and only one in the world. It was said that only two of them were came into A Country.
A few days ago, those two gowns' pictures had appeared in the special edition of a top tire fashion magazine of A Country named 'Youth', and the price was shocking. It was totally unknown who bought this one because it never really appeared in any shop.
The bespoke, sky blue, off to the shoulder gown had a sheer overlay with crystals and sequin embellishments throughout, including a belted design at the waist. It seemed slightly longer than it should be and ended right after her ankles. With her every steps, the crystals were shining that cought everybody's attention.
But what really caught the limelight was the tiara. She paired the dress with the Queen Abigail's teardrop tiara on her head!
The crowd went into a uproar. Queen Abigail was one of the legendary figures in Country M. She had worn this tiara quite a few times before. The tiara was previously owned by the Princess of Arabia. It was actually given by her grandmother to her as a family heirloom. So it was one of the most famous pieces in the royal family's collection. However she owed a lifesaving favour to the royal family of Country M, so she showed her appreciation by giving this famous tiara to Queen Abigail.
But after Queen Abigail's divorce with the King, she returned all the assets were given by the royal family to them. And this tiara was one of them. After three generations, the royal family donated this tiara on a charity auction, so it came on limelight a few days ago.
Owned by two princess and queen from two different countries and different cultures, the tiara was actually priceless. No numbers of millions could actually compliment this piece's historical value.
It was said that some legendary figure bought this in a price that could not be imagined. His identity was completely hidden and only his representative had appeared on his behalf. However, he too did not show his face in front of the media, nor did he expose his name. They even made the authority convinced not to reveal their identities. This is just too unconvincing that this tiara actually appeared today, that also worn by a completely unknown Asian girl who just stepped into the party, without any partner.
It could be a party which was held by the Godfather of the food and hotel chain of A country, and it cost a lifetime's fortune to get a hold of one invitation card. But nobody knew her. Just who was she?

**Special note of gratitude
Finally! I'm glad that I finally managed to create an impressive look for our female lead.
I admit that I am dumb when it comes to fashion. I racked my brain but could not think of a good look which will suit our female lead.
So I took a reference from Carolina Harrea's design. Her one was a silk ball gown with a different colour. Princess Kate Middleton wore that dress in a party and I happened to see the pictures online. So I described that dress here with a slightly changed fromat (because there would not be a ball) and the colour to sky blue to make our female lead look like a Disney Princes.
Here, the tiara that I have described is completely an imagery of mine. The style and the story behind it were totally, entirely, fully a fruit if my imagination. Even if there any match could be found, that would be completely unintended, and co-incidental.
