"Wait, you said CODE 21, so did Henry cheat on me? Tell me the truth Scarlet."
"Technically not yet, but he will in the future, with Sophia."
"And I should believe you because?"
"Because I'm your best friend and I only want the best for you."
"Fine, whatever. "
Suddenly we heard a knock on the door. "Is everything alright, sis? Henry doesn't seem too good."
So she finally came. The person who played one of the biggest roles in making Ashlyn's life miserable, Abbie AKA her little sister who was always jealous of what Ashlyn had.
Before I could stop her, Ashlyn had already opened the door. "I'm okay. What happened after I left?"
"OMG, it was total chaos. What happened by the way? Are you guys breaking up?" I could literally see the scheming glint in her eyes but naive Ashlyn was oblivious as always. "We might be-"
I cut her off before she can give more information, "We're fine here and the wedding is off. Why don't you go explain to everyone?" I know she'll leave because she would never miss a chance to twist Ashlyn's words, especially to an audience of this size.
"Well, I am good at explaining... Ok, I'll go."
"Hey, why didn't you let me tell her?" Ashlyn whines, "I want everyone to know about your 'reincarnation'."
"Because she can't be trusted. Who do you think uploaded that video of you falling into the fountain and coming out all drenched? Who do you think switched your sugar with salt in the city's cooking competition successfully embarrassing you in front of your idol? She's a wolf in sheep's clothing."
"WHAT!?"
"Look I'll prove it to you. Your dress has a tiny tear in the back. Just a little pull and..."
"The whole dress falls apart," she completes with a horrified expression.
"And, who delivered it?"
"She was the only one in contact with it other than me." She slowly falls to her knees which gives the dress the pull it needed. Handing her another dress I try to comfort her.
"You never could have known, she is too good an actor. After it happened, she would have just blamed some staff member and-"
"And the worst part is that I would have believed her. Who can I even really trust?"
