As Luna took Maura to a neglected garden not far from the magnificent mansion of the Lorenzo family, she sat with her best friend, who seemed to be sobbing softly.
Luna took a deep breath. Since she decided to take Maura out of the engagement event, she had not found Eric anymore. The man seemed to be lost in the crowd, or maybe she had already left the mansion, considering the events he hoped would not happen.
Luna also won't care or feel guilty for not canceling Erlang's engagement party. After all, from the start, she just said he wanted to talk. So, right, it wasn't his fault if Eric caught the wrong one.
"Are you okay?" asked Luna.
Maura nodded slowly, even though her best friend's condition was far from good. Her face was getting paler with the addition of tears on her cheeks.
