Early morning as planned, the care taker had arrived and Tang Ning helped her take her things in the room that was initially hers since the house didn't have a spare bedroom.
After making sure that she was settled in, they sat down and discussed about the roles and payment. When everything was done, Tang Ning stepped outside to buy some things she will need.
Finally, it was the day when she had to leave the house. She dragged her bags towards the living room and after, turned to give her father a long warm hug.
"Where's your sister?" he asked when they parted. "She left early in the morning," replied the care taker. "I thought she would see you off at least," he said. "It is fine father. She wouldn't do it even though she was here," replied Tang Ning.
Turning to look at the caretaker, she said," Please make sure that he takes his medicine thrice a day. His meals should be on time and most importantly, inform me incase anything happens." "You don't have to worry about anything," she replied.
Placing the bags in the trunk of the cab she had hailed, she turned to look at his father and said," Please take care of yourself. Don't give the care taker a hard time." "As if you're the parent and I am the child. You don't have to worry. I too want to get back my health such that I take back the responsibility of the house as the man I am," he said. "I don't mind taking care of you," she answered. "Well I do. The house responsibilities have robbed you your social life. I would like to see you in love one day and going on dates just like the girls of your age," he said. She smiled and replied," All in due time father. But right now, you are my top priority. I have to go." Hugging her father once again, she said," I just hope that this distance will help improve my relationship with Moyu." "You shouldn't let her get to your head. It is not your fault at all. Now go."
Reaching the Jing household, she found Ms Fang waiting for her and she was led to one of the rooms downstairs. Stepping inside, she looked around the spacious room and she realized that it was three times larger than her room back at home. "Will you be comfortable here? Or should we check the other rooms?" she asked. "No. This is fine. In fact, it is extra," she replied as she turned to look at the woman. "Alright then. The twins are at school but they are soon coming back," she said and she nodded. "Did you get someone to take care for your father?"
"Yes I did," she replied. "That is good then. I will let you settle in. Please excuse me," she said before leaving. Alone in the room, Tang Ning walked to the large bed and sat on it. It felt so comfortable. Standing up, she walked to the enormous closet and opened it. Looking at the ample space inside, she doubted her clothes could fill a quarter of it. She then left the spot and walked to the bathroom and she couldn't help but be in awe. She wondered what she was going to do in such a big room by herself. It was not only large but also luxurious and it made her wonder how Mr Jing Yue's room looked like. She decided to stop dawdling and started placing her clothes in the closet.
As she was still organising her things, the door was banged open and she saw little Huan running inside, still in her uniform and having her backpack. "Pretty auntie!" she called excitedly and she came forward to carry her.
Walking towards the bed, she placed her on it before joining her to sit. "Are you going to live here with us?!" she asked. "Yes." "Yay!!" she shouted making Tang Ning chuckle. "How was school?" she asked. "It was good," she replied. "Where is your brother?" she asked. "He went to his room," she replied. "Alright. Let's go get you two changed and something to eat," she proposed.
"Okay," she replied and didn't wait to be helped get down the bed but jumped off. "You shouldn't do that again little Huan. It's dangerous," she said as she got her hand and they walked out of the room.
As Huan was seated on the kitchen counter, she saw her new nanny mixing some ingredients.
She watched her intently and asked," Pretty auntie what are you going to cook?" "I'm going to bake some cookies," she replied. "Really?" she asked excitedly. "Yes. Do you like them?" she asked. "Yes. I can't wait to taste them." "Alright. They won't take long," she replied continuing with the process.
When night arrived, Tang Ning tucked little Huan in her bed after reading her a bedtime story and she drifted off to sleep. She stood up and looked around the large room. Just as she had imagined, the room was very luxurious. Dimming the lights, she stepped outside before walking towards the next room.
Opening it, she peeked inside to see Juan laying on the bed with a book in his hand.
She walked inside and he turned to look at her with his large clear eyes. "What are you reading little Juan?" she asked. "Nothing," he replied looking at her. "Can I have a look?" she asked and later, he handed the book to her. Going through it, she saw that it was a cookbook. "You love cooking?" she asked looking at him. "En," he replied. "I love cooking too," she replied continuing to opening the book. "Really?" he asked, his eyes lighting up. "Yes." "Can you cook some of those things?" he asked getting interested in the conversation. "Most of them," she replied.
"Will you teach me?" he asked sitting up.
"Why not? Do you want to?" she asked. "Of course. I want to learn them," he replied. "Alright then. Go to sleep and I will teach you during the weekends," she said. "You promise?" he asked. "Promise," she replied before adding," Should I read you a bedtime story?" "No. I will sleep," he replied and she saw him slipping inside the covers. She dimmed the lights for him before stepping outside. As she walked in the corridor, she was looking at the book cover.
When she reached the stairs, she saw Mr Jing Yue who was ascending them.
