Thinking about the two men, Tang Ning couldn't tell who was better than the other.
If she was to be honest with herself, she hadn't met a man as handsome as her boss until today when she couldn't decide who was more than the other. In the past, she had always thought that Feng Shufen was the most handsome boy but it changed and now meeting the twins uncle, it complicated her ranking.
...
On one afternoon, Tang Moyu was sitting in the living room watching TV when she heard a knock on the door. "Who is it?" she asked but got no response. When the knocking persisted, she yelled, "If you can't say who are then get lost!"
"I don't know what's wrong with some people," she murmured when the person knocked again. She angrily stood up as she stomped her feet towards the door.
Opening it, her expression immediately turned from grim to shock. Her lips parted in disbelief at the sight of who was at the door. "Feng Shufen?" she whispered his name. Giving her a polite smile, he replied," Yes it's me."
She couldn't believe it! He was looking so handsome and sexy in the blue jeans, maroon t-shirt and a black leather jacket. "May I come in?" he asked, removing her from her trance. "Of course," she replied and stepped aside such that he could enter. On looking outside, she caught sight of a red Ferrari that was parked in front of their house and she gasped before closing the door.
"Please have a seat," she said and he did as told. "When did you come back?!" she asked taking a seat. "Two days ago," he replied and she noticed his eyes moving around as though searching for someone. "I can't believe it. You changed so much," she said. "How?" "You look more mature and handsome." He smiled and said," You don't look bad yourself."
"Thank you," she replied and stood up before asking," What can I get you?" "Nothing I'm fine," he replied before asking," Uh, where's Tang Ning?"
Moyu had already guessed that he was here for that girl. She sat back and said," We don't know." His eyebrows furrowed and he asked," What? What do you mean by that?"
"Tang Ning ran off with a man. Well, that's what rumors say as we don't know where she went. She just left a letter behind bidding farewell to us. It may be possible because her boyfriend disappeared at the same time until now." Feng Shufen couldn't believe it. He felt so disappointed. Tang Ning was the main reason why he came back to China. After taking on a medical course in the States, he was now a certified doctor and he had decided to buy a hospital and settle in Shanghai, only for her. He has never been able to forget about her even for a single day. "When did it happen?" he finally asked. "About six months ago," she replied.
"Are you sure about that? She might have been forced or worse in danger,"he tried to reason. She wasn't that type of girl he had come to know. "No! She clearly told us not to look for her and that she had gone to start a new life," answered Moyu.
"Didn't she state where she was going?"
"Not at all." "Do you still have that letter? I would like to have a look at it," he said.
"We burnt it. We didn't want to keep those memories," she replied.
"I honestly can't believe it," he said passing hands through his hair as he disorganized it. "We were shocked too," she said. "Where is your father?" he asked.
She wanted to say that he was in the bedroom but she didn't. It was because she thought that he might spill the beans if the two talked. "He's at work," she replied.
Just then, The door opened and the caretaker came back from where she had gone. Greeting the visitor, she walked away and went to the kitchen.
Feng Shufen stood up and Moyu followed suit.
"Give me her number at least," he said. "Honestly, we all deleted it. We wanted to try much and forget about her since it was easy for her to leave us," she said. He took a deep breath before saying," I will take my leave now."
"Where are you going?" she asked. "I guess I will be touring around town," he replied. "Let me accompany you. As you can see, I'm bored here," she said.
"Alright," he replied. "Let me change. Give me a second," she said before running away.
Getting to her room, she got out one of her most skimpy outfits. Tang Ning might have been able to steal him away from her in high school but not anymore, she thought. After getting dressed, she looked at herself in the mirror as she applied her makeup. She has always believed that she's prettier than Tang Ning and therefore, seducing Feng Shufen was not going to be hard. She smiled at the result and got her bag then rushed outside to find him.
Feng Shufen sat as his back leaned against the seat. He was failing to believe the information he had just gotten. Although Tang Ning rejected him in the past, he always had a feeling that she felt the same way as he did and that there was probably a reason as to why she refused him.
She might have left the house and was currently living at a friend's place, he thought.
Because the Tang Ning he knew, was not someone like that. He clearly remembers that she loved her father so much and there's no way she could leave him just because of a man.
He then remembered that she had a best friend but he had forgotten about the name. Hopefully, she was still in Shanghai and he was going to look for her. Perhaps, she knew where Tang Ning went to.
"Did I take long," he heard a voice and looked to see Tang Moyu as she opened the door. "No," he replied. When she sat in, he started the car and they set off. They drove through Shanghai for almost four hours until he proposed that they should get something to eat.
