Chereads / His Moonlight / Chapter 32 - No one

Chapter 32 - No one

No one wins the bet.

Once the boss hits the ground and a huge tremor appears from the impact, they try to balance themselves and once the ground no longer shakes, Sol points at Chilve with his sword and shouts, "this is not fair! I should have won the bet!"

"Dude, if I didn't save you from his last hit earlier, you would be dead meat instead of talking to me."

"Guys, I think we should call a truce for now," Lune tries to calm the situation down and sweat drops when Vivian and Lisa are busy looting the boss, "and what are you girls doing?"

"Looting! Let's split the rewards from selling them later."

"You are so right, redhead. Nothing beats the power of rewards after a day's worth of hard work."

'Seems like the both of them become fast friends.' The blonde looks at the two guys and it seems that Sol is getting more and more agitated, "I changed my mind, we are going to have a duel after all."

"I don't want to accidentally killed my future brother in law in a stupid duel because of your ego."

"I'm not!" And before he can make any moves, Vivian approaches Sol and shows him the loot, "Sol! We got the pelt that our request needed."

"Vivian, not now-"

"And even though we need to share the bounties equally, we will still be rich for at least a week! I'm so going to get that orb we saw earlier," she hums a tune that seems to be unfamiliar to Lune and Chilve laughs, "ha! You lovebirds enjoy, I'm going to pamper my lady with the best equipment she wanted."

"For the last time, we are not lovebirds!" Vivian seems to be a little sad from Sol declaration, while Lisa is pouting at the side, "I feel so lonely all of a sudden when there's two pairs of couples here."

Lune blushes a little and she tries to explain to Lisa, "no, we are not!"

"Anyone can see how lovey dovey the both of you can be from an outsider's point of view," the blonde sighs from the redhead's analysis, and Vivian asks, "we should probably head out. I don't want to wait for another boss to come charging at us in the meantime."

"They can do that?"

"They who?"

Lune's question is left unanswered when Chilve ushers them to leave, where he stays at the back to make sure they are not left behind. Once they reach the opening and back to the entrance, the sun is already setting and Vivian seems to be in a good mood while Lune asks Chilve, "should we go back to our lodgings after we are done with the rewards?"

"Sure," and Chilve immediately gets the evil eye from Sol when he hears that, "our lodgings? What did you do to my precious sister at night?"

"For your information, we embrace-" his mouth is slapped shut by both of Lune's hands and she screams, "nothing like that! He went out for some business while I'm the only one sleeping in the room. Say, I think we can camp out before moving to another area for tomorrow."

Lisa looks up from her backpack and she whines, "you both are leaving this area already? Where to?"

"Actually, you can join us if you want. I feel awkward travelling without a long range user," the redhead lights up from Lune's invitation and nods a little too eagerly, while Sol calms himself down and says, "let's call for a truce for now. I'm starving after all the exercise earlier."

They enter the adventurers guild after walking for another half hour, and the sun has already set, lights are lit around the streets possibly by magic, and Jane welcomes them with open arms, "welcome back~ Oh? It seems that you five got here together. What's the occasion?"

Sol puts the spoils on the counter and the request papers, "please get these checked," and Jane starts getting to work, while Vivian is already checking out the request board again for anything else of interest while Chilve orders from the kitchen himself. Lune and Lisa sit down on a large table enough for all of them and the redhead stretches herself, "today's a tiring but fulfilling! I hope tomorrow will be better."

"Are you really alright? You faced such a traumatic experience just this morning after all."

"No worries! I will be fine after a good meal. By the way, who is Evan?"

For some reason Lune can't seem to recall the name, like she just threw out the memory of it, "I don't recall, why?"

"That's what your brother shouted earlier! As if he is calling Chilve Evan instead," she facepalms when she finally remembered and she shakes his head, "well, that's the name Chilve gave to my brother when they first met, due to reasons."

Lisa nods in understanding and Chilve returns to the table, "I placed the orders. Though I'm not sure what your brother will be eating so I just ordered their best dishes."

"Actually, Sol is kinda picky when it comes to his food."

Sure enough, when Sol and Vivian are joining them for the table, urged by Vivian since she insisted to get close to her future sister in law, the food arrives and Sol starts complaining while picking out anything that looks suspicious, "what is this, could it be internal organs? I doubt they clean it properly. And that looks like a stray fish bone, probably from another dish considering this is not seafood at all. What is this? Overcooked vegetables, what a shame."

Vivian seems to be ignoring all the complaints and continues admiring her crush, while Lune is sick of his usual table antics and Lisa sighs, "if you are not happy with this commoners' food, then go look for a better restaurant! I want to eat in peace."

"You just said my thoughts out loud, Lisa," both Chilve and Lisa high five each other after his little retort, and Sol shakes his head, "if there's any fault with our food, we need to point it out! This is to improve their cooking and cleaning skills."

"Vivian, are you still crushing on such an airhead?"

"I don't really mind. I have the confidence that I can cook food that is up to par to his standards of quality."
