Chapter 1 - Prologue

Sometimes, she wishes there's a change in her daily life.

The moment she opens her eyes, she gets out of her bed and enters the washroom to have a quick shower, and after wearing the clothes she had chosen prior last night, she exits her studio apartment and walks towards the nearest station, scans her commuting ticket, enters the train and scrolls mindlessly on her phone. Once she enters the office building where she jokingly called it her second home, she starts working until the end of the day. Sometimes she would get take out from the convenience store nearby before reaching her apartment, and after the quick meal she lies down on her bed and gets her sleep after listening to some songs.

She doesn't know why there's no change at all. It's not that she didn't make an effort in making the changes, she really did. She tried speed dating 'which does not work at all', tried new hobbies but can't seem to keep up due to her lack of motivation after long days at work, and even tried getting interviews at different places so she might be able to get a better job, but there's nothing. Adulting seems to be something so different from how she used to envision during her childhood, and even though she has the freedom to do whatever children can't do, she doesn't have the time or energy for it.

'Maybe this isn't the life I wanted.'

She left work for the day as usual again today. Deciding to try a different routine, she enters the convenience store to get some alcoholic beverages and after paying for it, she starts drinking while walking towards the station to commute home.

Then there's shouting.

More shouting.

That's all she remembers before she realizes that she is feeling helpless, like in a daze or a dream, where she can't move her limbs freely, and a friendly looking grandma figure looks at her and talks to someone beside her, "it's twins! Congratulations, your majesty!"

'Your majesty?'

"My queen, it's been a huge toll on your body to deliver our children, thank you."

"-It's nothing."

Yes, she feels helpless being carried around like she weighs nothing while an infant is crying in the background.
