Exiting the royal garden using the little hole found yesterday, Lune straightens up and dusts off her clothes from the leaves until something touches her shoulder, making her frightened and almost shout but a hand covers to stifle her voice, and a familiar voice sighs and warns, "tone down, or we are not having any chance to meet again."
Looking at the boy's blue eyes, Lune huffs in annoyance and shakes her head before Chilve removes his hand. They know they shouldn't be seen together just in case the royal guards might pester the werewolf, and Lune will lose her chance to learn more about them for the rest of her life. They walk away from the palace in silence, like they have done this multiple times and soon she perks up when she hears the sound of a stream.
"A river! I should wash my face," the blonde princess cups some of the cool water in both her palms, splashes her face and rubs her cheeks before turning to see Chilve looking at her questioningly, "what are you looking at?"
"You don't have water in the palace?"
"Of course we do. Why do you think so?"
"Because you wash your face right after you see a stream, so I thought you haven't gotten any access to water," Chilve tilts his head to a side when Lune's expression turns to something of disbelief, "isn't that so?"
"I was doing some magic training earlier before rushing out, so I can't get any water yet."
'And why did I explain to him? As if this idiot deserves some.' Chilve smiles a little and asks, "so, magic training huh? Are you able to make something great yet?"
Seeing there's a large boulder, Lune hops on that and moves her legs while trying to recall the memory from the training earlier, "at least I did conjure something up, just not what I'm expecting."
"And what are you expecting?"
"At least some fire magic! Or some ice spears appearing in thin air shooting at enemies! It's so lame thinking mine is not as flashy!"
Lune doesn't intend to whine in the first place, but being in front of Chilve somehow makes her at ease when it comes to complaining. He looks at her for a few silent moments before he smirks, "did you perhaps, conjured water instead?"
'How did he-?! Did he spy on me earlier?!' Her expression showed the answer Chilve asked for, and he smirks wider, "did I hit a sore point?"
"You better explain how you know that or else."
"Or else?" Lune feels like slapping his smirking face, but inhales a few deep breaths before she calmly replies, "I'll make you wet."
Chilve barks in laughter from that little threat and he grins, "first off, I'm not from the feline family, I don't mind getting wet. Secondly, I can dry off myself easily, so being wet is nothing much," and he smirks when he sees her pouts at him, "what now, princess?"
"Then let me see how you dry off!" A huge splash of water is thrown to Chilve's face, making his white hair dripping wet and he grins, "then I hope you're ready for starting this war."
Since being born into this world, Lune doesn't remember having the privilege to be just like a normal child, splashing water like this, since Sol, her twin brother, doesn't seem to be bothered with such everyday fun, while she is often surrounded by adults with no other humans of similar age. Even though Chilve obviously has the advantage due to his taller physique and being non-human, he seems to let her do whatever she wants, spares her some chances without dominating it even though Chilve seems to have the clear upper hand.
When their whole body is wet and Lune finally feels uncomfortable, she finally shouts, "stop, stop! Enough!" And when the albino doesn't splash any more water on her, he sits on a boulder and blushes when he sees the state Lune is in.
Her clothes are all wet, clinging to her like a second skin, which reveals her developing body. There's a few drops of water dripping from her hair to her body, where it rolls downwards and it disappears into her collar, where Chilve can see the shape of her growing breast. 'Calm down, me. I shouldn't see her as a potential mate. She's just a kid!'
When Lune bends down to squeeze some excess water from her dress, that's when he snaps and he turns to look away, "Lune, you should get back early today."
"Huh?" She looks up to see Chilve has his back facing her, and while she is wondering what happened to get such a sudden reception, Lune approaches him and realizes his cheeks are red, "you look so red, what happened? Did you get a heat stroke or something?"
"I don't get sick easily!"
"Then why should I go back early, like right now?" Her hand rests on Chilve's shoulder, which makes him jolt like an electric current coursing through him. He quickly moves away from her touch and he clears his throat, "your dress got revealing after getting wet."
Without thinking she starts rambling, "so what if it's revealing, it's not like you are already mature enough for-" then a realization hit her, from the crazy novels she read in the previous world of hers, where there's one that talks about how werewolves mature quickly and getting a mate in their teenage years, "hold on, don't tell me you are mature enough for that 'thing'."
He finally turns to look at her and he asks, "what thing?"
"You know, being aware of the opposite sex and-" Lune jumps when he suddenly shouts loudly, "it's nothing! Get back yourself, today's over!" And before she can ask anything further, he turns into his wolf form and sprints off, leaving her alone along the stream.
"Geez, thanks for the stupidly short afternoon."
