Aiden lay on his cot with an almost dead expression as his body was full of sweat. He had somehow managed to complete the quest on time and after seeing the exp message, he was a little happy that he got something for his hard work.
Now that one quest was out of the way, Aiden decided to check the other quest he had gotten.
[ Quest Name: A Child's Dream
Objective: Eat properly and get nine hours of sleep in a day.
Difficult: Easy
Reward: 10 Exp ]
It looked as though this quest was an upgraded version of the quest he had received in the past. This quest was easy too since Aiden's food appeared in a few minutes.
A hooded figure appeared from the shadows and gave Aiden his food which was delicious steak or at least that's what Aiden's thought it was. After all, he didn't have a food checking skill with him.
'Speaking of skills, I will get two more skills six months later right?' Aiden asked the system as he started eating his food.
< Yes, host, you will receive two more skills for free on your first birthday but after that, you will have to use skill points to unlock new skills. > The system replied as Aiden nodded before stifling a yawn.
Having worked out, he was feeling more sleepy than usual. He climbed onto his cot and closed his eyes as he fell asleep within seconds.

< Happy birthday host. It's time for you to select two more skills. > The system notification rang in Aiden's ears as he stood up from the ground and wiped the sweat off his forehead.
He was a year old now and was already becoming quite strong. He had been training for the past six months as the system daily assigned him the 'Preparations to become strong (baby version)' mission daily.
< Host, you will get four skills out of which you can choose any two skills you like. The other two skills will vanish and in the future, skills will only appear with a job class. >
Aiden nodded as he understood what the system meant. Just like in games, he needed a job here too.
< The skills will now be displayed. Choose wisely host. > The system said one last time before the skills appeared in front of Aiden's face.
[ Shadow manipulation
(1 EE Per Minute)
---
- Lets the user manipulate the shadows around them.
- The shadows must be from a real light source and not from elemental powers.

[ Fire manipulation
(1 EE Per Minute)
---
- Lets the user manipulate the fire around them.
- The fire must be from a natural source and not from elemental powers.
Range: 2 meters
Duration: 30 minutes ]
< These are the two element-related skills for now host. You have to choose one of them before I will present the non-element-related skills. > The system said as the two screens hovered in front of him.
Aiden read the details of both the skills as he took a deep breath and started thinking about the advantages and disadvantages of both the skills.
The shadow manipulation skill would let him manipulate shadows which will give him a major advantage over every kind of terrain.
'System, can I use this skill to make myself invisible?'
The answer to his question would affect his choice immensely. After all, being invisible had many benefits and Aiden didn't mean that in a pervert's way.
< Yes host, you can do that. You can also use shadows to make the other's vision go dark for a second. > The system replied as Aiden was excited about it but then there were the disadvantages.
One of the most notable things was that both the thing required real elements. Since this was a fantasy world, Aiden could easily tell that people would be able to use magic here so there was a chance that he would encounter fire-wielding users.
But he wouldn't be able to control their fire since the skill required real fire caused through natural causes. But the thing was that he didn't have enough information about this to finalize anything.
For all he knew, that fire was classified as natural.
"I am starting to think that you don't know many things system and that is why you are not telling me anything." Aiden said in a low voice as he debated over the skills.
< You can believe anything you want to host. > The system's reply made Aiden sigh.
Wielding fire would be advantageous in battles since fire had destructive power but natural fire was hard to find and it had the obvious weakness of water. The shadow skill was good too since he could use it during both day and night and it would also act as an insurance for him.
With the use of invisibility, he would be able to easily flee from the place whereas he could also use this for sneak attacks. Shadows could also be used as distractions and also to attack but it didn't have the attacking power of fire.
Fire would destroy everything in its path whereas shadows were more of a stealth thing. After careful consideration, Aiden finally chose his skill.
'I want the shadow manipulation skill system.' Aiden finally thought as a screen appeared in front of him.
[ Does the host want the skill: Shadow manipulation?
Yes / No ]
'Yes.' Aiden replied in his mind.

[ Host has unlocked the skill: Shadow manipulation. ]
Just as Aiden was waiting for the second set of skills to appear, he got a sudden surprise in the form of an unexpected system notification. Perhaps the system had forgotten to tell him about it.
Ding!
[ Due to the acquisition of the skill: Shadow manipulation, A job class has been created.
Host can access the job through the job class screen. ]
Aiden read this with wide eyes as he quickly opened the job screen.
'Job screen.' He thought slowly as the job screen opened in front of him.
