"Aiden." Dan nodded.
"Hey! You're that werewolf!" I said enthusiastically.
"That's me!" Aiden said smiling, " Er one of me.. There's 9 wolves in my pack, including me!".
"9 more little Aidens?!" I thought.
"You were going to school weren't you?" Aiden asked "I'm going too!".
"Oh, I heard what you guys were talking about! You can just howl too if you need me...or one of us anyways... We'll always hear ya! We have excellent hearing and-" He continued, being interrupted by Dan.
"Okay. We got it. Let's go Aiden. Come on Daisy. We'll be there shortly." Dan started back walking again.
Aiden perked his ears back and I watched as they dissapeared. His tail did as well.
I ran to catch up with them, petting Aiden.
Aidens tail returned as I continued to pet him, with him slowly wagging his brown, fluffy tail once more.
"Daisy" Dan said eagerly "Come here"
Aidens tail dissapeared once more and I went to walk beside Dan in the front of the line. I blushed as he locked my left hand with his in a death grip.
"Are you trying to drown me again?" I asked.
"No. Aiden may be all fluffy and 'cute' but he's still a werewolf. Dont let his sheepish disguise fool you." Dan whispered into my ear.
Aiden continued walking behind us, both hands around his back pack straps, smiling at the ground as he walked.
It felt like we had walked for hours, and I was out of breath.
"Here it is" Dan said, presenting the school with the wave of his hand.
It was a beat-up old brick building that looked like it had been there for centuries. I stared at it in awe before Dan lightly nudged me with his elbow, signaling for me to go into the school.
He ran to get in front of me, and held the door open for me and Aiden. I slowly walked into the building, blinded by the fluorescent lights beaming from the inside.
To my surprise, it looked nothing like the outside. It looked way modern, complete with pale blue lockers and metal classroom doors.
Dan walked in after Aiden had entered to catch up with me once again.
"Come on I'll show you to the princiPOOH-" Dan was interrupted by Aiden kneeing him in his stomach, making Dan fall to the floor.
"I know my way. Its like....location stuff" Aiden winked.
I stared at him confused and raised an eyebrow.
"You mean echolocation? The thing you DO NOT HAVE, because BATS HAVE IT" Dan sneered, angrily.
"Yeah. That. I do totally have it. Watch this" Aiden sniffed the air, slowly closing his eyes. "This way!"
He grabbed my hand, and ran for it, but fell forward after Dan, who was still on the ground, managed to put out his leg to trip him.
I started stumbling forward at lightning speed, along with Aiden, before I found myself in someone's arms.
I found black sleeves wrapped around my arms, keeping me upright. I looked up to the face of the hero who saved me, and fell backwards in horror.
It was the dragon. Liam. He gave me a smirk and reached out his hand to me. I refused to take it, though, and Dan helped me up instead.
Liam started to walk towards me but Dan pulled me aside. Liam walked past me as he whispered something in my ear.
"You could be my queen one day. All you got to do is join us. Join the people who rule half this nation, and will soon rule the world"
I cringed at what I had just heard. Queen? What does he mean half the nation?
I started to think about it as we continued to walk to the principal's office. Liam didn't try to kill me that one time... He just injured me badly. It could've been worse. Why didnt he want to kill me if I'm his worst enemy? Why is he keeping me alive?
Aiden looked over at me and tapped my shoulder. I jumped a bit and looked back over at him.
"Something on your mind?" He asked.
"Oh..oh..yeah...no..nothing" I stuttered.
He sighed and we finally reached the principal's office.
