Albert knew the uproar had intensified the moment the buggy turned onto the road where the town's morgue was situated. Traffic had slowed, and people filled the street.
"In the two years I've spent in town, not once have I seen so many cars on the road," Kyla said with furrowed brows. "And so many people! This seems pretty serious."
A news van entered the main road from a side street. Albert leaned forward to peer out the window. "Now it is. Whatever's happening must be newsworthy."
Her head shook in disapproval of the current situation. "Usually, the area is pretty quiet. A busy day is a fender bender."
"Well, the town is changing." He shrugged. "The serial killings and now, stolen corpses is enough to stir up anger in the town's people. How far is the morgue from here?"
