[Quest 1.5: Outrun the zombies and reach the city] [Accomplished!]

[Reward: Gain an extra skill class C at random]

[{Passive} Skill obtained: Regeneration skill!]

[And since you arrived at the designated place and defeated the gargantuan (which you named), the system grants you the regeneration ability. No matter what happens to you, your body will always regrow and regenerate. Because of your ability, you can feel everything like a human being but pain. However, unlike a human's skin, your body will always feel cold, considering that you are a walking corpse.]

[You have also received the passive skill: Immortality. Since you cannot die because of your regeneration ability, nothing could kill you. As long as you remain a zombie, there is nothing that can stop your body from moving.]

[You also gained various resistance from poisoning, parasites, other viruses (including the zombie virus, bacteria, and other microorganisms.]

[Additional skill from levelling up! Congratulations! You have obtained the skill: Zombie Bite]

[Zombie Bite allows you to transform humans into zombies at your will. If you bite a human, that person will become a zombie that will inherit your genes as an undead. Those converted individuals will follow every order you give to them without fail. All the zombies you transformed would become your slaves or zombified army, which you would use in the future. However, the members of your team will not obtain your passive skills. They will have their own systems and powers since they are your slaves. This ability will only level up/increase the number of converting zombies by 1 if you reach level 10.]

[Zombie converted: 0/2]

[Zombie party: 0]

These were the numbers and descriptions that the system gave to me, with some additional abilities. I widened my eyes as I read the allotted dials on each of my stats. And boy, it surprised me to see such depressing numbers, especially the level 1 written beside my name. There were also these passive abilities I unlocked after finishing the quests.

"Why the hell do I don't have any mana, and yet I have intelligence? Don't get me started with regeneration skills! What's the point of not dying when I can't deal with any damage with my fist! How am I going to fight against, I don't know, maybe aliens falling from the sky?!" I complained about the almighty system.

Mana was something in the game that allowed players or individuals to cast spells. Those magic abilities did not limit itself from projectile arcanes, which were usually seen by mages. Sometimes, it could be enhanced attacks coated with special effects from one's mana.

However, I did not have any mana despite obtaining [zombie bite]. I did not even know what to do with it, considering its use and practicality in this apocalyptic time. Since I did not plan on using that spell right now, I brushed the thought off and continued conversing with my system.

[That is your problem, not mine] A box appeared before me as if answering my questions.

"Well, boo-hoo, you garbage system! If I die, I'm going to take you with me!"

[That's the point] This stupid box was at it again. [You cannot die, Kawai]

Like the goddamn window had mentioned, I cannot die thanks to my immortal ability. Although my level would increase my stats, I doubt these numbers would do something against even stronger zombies than the dude I fought.

I turned my attention to the additional skill I got from having a system. It seemed that the system was not rigging me with idiotic abilities, considering the definition of zombie bite. However, the spell seemed powerful enough to deem it as an overpowered manipulation spell! I could not fathom on using it on others, since that would make them my slave. I would love to have someone as my slave, but I cannot enslave everyone because I wanted to. And if I planned on converting people into zombies, I should have a reason for it.

Although I became a zombie, I still had the moralities of a human being. The zombie virus did not affect my thinking, which I had initially expected.

And since all that additional information, such as attacks and defences, meant nothing to me, I swiped the window and focused on my surroundings. After the titan exploded, a part of Tokyo, specifically Hama Rikyu garden, vanished from the map. All the trees got cut off from the implosion, including the neighbouring houses.

If I had to guess the distance the explosion covered, the Takeshiba Station got taken out from the map, together with the surrounding stalls and other houses. I could only pray for the human survivors resting inside their houses if they got themselves caught by the blast. Those who had already turned into zombies, fuck them entirely.

"Now that I've finished reading my player details…. or whatever the system calls it, I could finally leave this place for good!" I exclaimed, while playfully rotating my phone using my fingers. "I still need to charge this piece of crap to view babe's message…. I hope she's alright."

I could only pray for their safety, since I was not there to protect her. And the only thing that I could do right now was to find an outlet, charge my phone using a charger, and travel wherever the goddamn place those trucks went to.

"And if I'm lucky, I'll meet some human friends…. or zombie friends along the way," I exclaimed, while kicking the burnt bone left from the titan I fought earlier.

Since I had already formulated my plan, I headed towards the road up ahead, which was the Shinbashi district. Ironically, the name meant "new bridge", which would describe my journey. I had no idea how many tatami mats I needed to travel. But I planned on racing on that treadmill and finding the holy electrical place.

Wasting no seconds, I dashed straight towards the ruined street. There was nothing but broken automobiles and craters as if an army of moles dug them. The buzzing streetlights felt like decades as I walked towards this road, with all the zombies still lurking in the corner.

Well, after hearing the explosion from the gas truck, these zombies would march their way towards that sound. There was nothing more that could attract those zombies but with a blaring voice coming from afar. As soon as those zombies caught a glimpse or heard someone, they would immediately inspect the scene.

However, after fighting the titan, there might be zombies out there that mutated from the virus….

"Now that it reminds me about it….. How long was I asleep back there?" These thoughts clouded my mind as I strolled toward the undead place.

When I studied those zombies heading in the opposite direction, they looked like tired accountants going to work. I doubt that the sleepless workers from the normal world would even look like a zombie more than these guys if it weren't for their pulsating cysts.

(Author's note: I have nothing against accountants. That line came from a meme.)

But when I looked around my vicinity, there was nobody here but these zombies and empty buildings. It did not look like that I had gone for long, considering the recognisable cars still parked at their places. The bridge from afar was my evidence for that claim, paired with my phone dying abruptly afterwards. My phone would only get its battery drained around a few hours, even if it was in low battery. If I went with that logic, I could not have slept for days after the zombie apocalypse happened…. It was just hours before these undead creatures attacked.

Within a few hours of waltzing onward, a finally arrived at the border part of Shimbashi. It looked like any other district in Tokyo, especially their old station. I had no reason to visit this place since the trail did not hit the road from my school.

As soon as I stepped foot near the place, the place became something people living in an attic would do. All those unused cars blocked the road, with fences made of wires stationed at the front lines. There were even remnants of bullets nestling on the road, with some spare guns and knives greeting my eyes.

I knelt on the ground and grabbed a gun with three magazines, and equipped myself with it. If I had to venture forward, I needed to arm myself with some weapon to protect myself from anything.
