[Zombies killed: 3]
[Zombies defeated: 4]
Those were the alarms that the system of Kawai Fukuyo foretold. However, after the battle, something emerged from the blast. It was something…. slimy that had an acrid smell of bleach covering the place. That thing appeared when the two individuals groaned for a few minutes, slamming each other against the floor.
NO!.... Not the one that humans produced after one passionate night. That mysterious thing was something more than that…
It was the mutated creature that came from the infection, which had turned into something else….
After chasing the zombie hybrid for countless minutes, the titan finally caught up with the undead near the gasoline station. That zombie hybrid was none other than Kawai Fukuyo, the man who turned into a zombie but retained all of his humane senses. The only thing that made him a zombie was his corpse-like body. If it were not for that, Kawai should have been together with his girlfriend.
As soon as Kawai got the upper hand, the gargantuan snatched his body and lifted him from the ground. The two glared at each other for a few seconds before the titan spoke its last.
"I got you….," the big boy zombie mumbled his ultimate words, while crushing Kawai with his hands.
With the last ounce of strength left inside of Kawai, he smirked and replied, "But I am…. Kawai Fukuyo…. Bitch!"
It was a remarkable scene that kindled the light that came from the superhero movie. And that scene would have ended Kawai's life, dragging the titan with him…. Or the other way around.
However, something happened after that explosion. Kawai survived and reviewed the system he obtained. He could regenerate even after taking a beam from the gas tank. Kawai could not also feel pain afterwards, thanks to his passive skill.
After reading all the contents, the hybrid zombie went towards his way to find a working electrical circuit. Kawai mentioned something about the Shimbashi district.
And that was the place he was heading towards right now.
But Kawai's greatest sin was not looking back. He disregarded his enemy, thinking that the titan died from the blast. And now it was coming back to bite his ass!
If only Kawai had surveyed the scene like a rescuer saving someone's life, he should have finished the titan soon at its weakest form.
After a few minutes, when Kawai had left the premises, the slimy creature slipped through the stone's crevices, escaping death from the hybrid zombie. Now that Kawai left, that acrid thing seized its opportunity and left its rabbit hole.
And now that thing got loose, it would find its way towards Kawai and…. Wait, what?
"Tasty….," the gargantuan's remains exclaimed to herself, as she transformed into a zombified girl. "Me wants to taste…. Me wants more zombie arms! That boy! THAT BOY IS TASTY! ME WANTS MORE!"
The gargantuan lost her healing capabilities since he directly got hit by the blast. That zombie came not from a human bitten by another infected, but took the form of a human corpse. This zombified girl became alive when the virus became too congested on the person's carcasses. When that body decomposed, this zombie used its form and shaped itself as a teenage girl.
"I am coming for you, my love!"

Kawai Fukuyo's Perspective

"Brrr…. Why do I feel like something cold has touched my skin?" I mumbled, while embracing myself. "It's like Santa Clause finally left fucking North Pole."
My body shivered out of nowhere, as if something bad would happen to me. I looked behind and checked if there was something…. or someone glaring in my direction. But as I went towards my rear, nothing out of the ordinary appeared before me.
It was as if my brain played a trick on me, thinking that my life was in danger.
I wiped the dirt off my forehead and made it look like some sweat was obstructing my eyes. As it turned out, those dust was nothing but my imagination just to soothe my quivering feeling.
Now that I had my gun clipped in my hands, my mind felt a little bit safer walking around in these empty streets. There were still dozens of handguns lying around on the ground, which caught my eyes. I would love to bring more weapons into my arsenal, but the system did not grant me any inventory of my powers. So I had to feel content with what I had and not wish for more things.
The weapon I collected on the floor was a Glock 22, which was easier to conceal than the Glock 19…. Well, I only heard about it from the firing games I played. As long as this gun was a reliable weapon, it was good enough for me.
"I have my gun with me... And I'm a zombie. What could possibly go wrong?" I whispered, inviting some threats in my direction.
After getting past the sloppy fences made by humans, I finally noticed someone inside a house. That person kept screaming for help after hearing some banging sounds coming outside the door. The voice came from the second floor at the house, just a few tatami mats away from me.
Those zombies who heard the screams came rushing towards the structure, bringing some poles as their weapons. These undead creatures were not the same as the Walking Dead or any other slow zombies I knew. Some of them had a sluggish pace which humans could outrun. But most of these flesh-eating beings were fast as fuck, like bunnies barring their teeth.
Fortunately, these weirdoes went past me like I was some nerd inside a high school. The zombies never even bothered looking in my direction, since they considered me as their kind. I had mixed feelings if I would feel honoured or depressed treating me like that, considering that I was a human, not a zombie. But the world told me otherwise, with my decaying skin as my undead evidence.
"Do I really have to help the guy? I mean…. He's already dead," I thought to myself, while looking at the window above.
The man kept throwing his things on the door, hoping he could block the room's entrance. That bloke even pushed the cabinet at his fore as an obstruction of some sort against the zombies. The guy used a gun as his ultimate weapon, which was the same firearm I had picked up on the streets.
Even though this guy panicked, he was a man who snatched something valuable out of his surroundings. However, I could only pray at the bloke for what was about to happen to him.
I could save the guy and be the hero. However, if I planned on saving every other human I found, it would take a toll on my head. And judging by the situation, I would be too late if I tried climbing the stairs and pushed the zombies aside.
All I could do was to use this scene as my notes and evaluate the zombies. I needed to learn how these undead creatures could infect or do anything to humans. There was one thing I missed, after all. And fortunately for me, I could view the entire scene even when I was watching from the ground.
"How long does a human become a zombie if they receive a wound or a bite mark?"
It was the question that I wanted to ask as soon as I turned one. I had a skill called zombie bite, but I doubt these zombies shared my ability. If they did, these undead beings could have controlled the other creatures. And if that happened, they could become the horde's leader.
After a while, the zombie finally pushed the blockage and entered the man's room. The man could only blame himself since he had been screaming inside the room for a few minutes, even before I arrived. Well, since he was up against zombies, it would not surprise me if that man did not jolt back from fear.
That guy had a normal reaction compared to mine…. Was it because I became accustomed to playing horror games or zombie games in my teenage years? I brushed those thoughts aside and continued watching the scene unfold before me.
The bloke tried his best to headshot those zombies. However, the horde had his number as they marched their way inside the room. Because of the number advantage, the guy got overwhelmed, and ultimately fell to his demise. Even though the man fell on the floor, the zombies chewing on his skin happened in plain insight.
The zombies munched the man's intestines first before taking out his heart. A gallon of blood exploded when the flesh-eaters grabbed the man's kidney. And when the undead finally crunches his lungs, the man breathed his last and finally left the world.
After waiting for exactly one minute, the man came back to life once again and stood from the ground. Despite his missing organs, the bloke moved on his own, while munching his own left arm.
