He groaned getting up from the restroom floor. He was being careful as the nausea wasn't helping him recover. Not only his stomach but even his head was pounding. He was staggering as he tried to balance himself back up.
As he glanced more at his body, he noticed his bloody clothes were in a pathetic state. There were even small teeth marks on his body. Noticing his body made him confirm last night hadn't been a dream. A night that could've only been explained as a nightmare. To his desperate mind, it wasn't a dream, no matter how much he wished for it to be.
Then the memory of that goblin resurfaced and he felt goosebumps all over his body.
After much trouble, he managed to walk out bathroom.
"Ugh," his body ached as he removed his clothing.
The pain on his aching body was too much for him to bear. He threw the clothes on the ground as he made his way to his bed.
He abandoned his thought of a good shower and returned to his bed.
Aidan sat there lifeless not knowing what just happened.
He couldn't help thinking about whether he was hallucinating. He sat there thinking. The goblins that he killed and the blue rift. His memory of the event was burned into his mind, he couldn't help but also faintly remember a blue status window.
At the time his mind was not in the right place. That was when he remembered he had seen it before, moments after defeating the goblin.
His mouth spat the words out of reflex.
"Status."
A blue window appeared in front of his very eyes. He jumped back surprised to see it.

"How is this β¦ even possible?"
He stared at the blue windows for several minutes, he had no idea how to use this status window. It wasn't like there was a walkthrough for the whole process.
Add one point to agility? He muttered in his subconscious mind and to his surprise. His eyes immediately widened as he witnessed the number increase right in front of his eyes.
Can it be true?
He had an idea in mind.

There's a park nearby the apartment. Aidan smiled and he could smell the pine trees lingering within the air. Since he wasn't one of those intense runners he just dressed much like going for a morning run.
He was still unsure if this was going to help him run faster. Aidan was testing his running speed and kept on going until reaching his limit. Each time he gets exhausted, he puts another point in his agility. The newest runner in the park was now running similar to a veteran runner.
"I'll be damned, this kid is no joke. Wasn't he running out of breath just three miles ago? Said a pair of two veteran runners while witnessing Aidan's feat.
After spending six points in agility, Aidan was running without breaking a sweat. He even completed a ten-mile run in an hour.
"Fuh," Aidan was smiling from ear to ear, he couldn't believe how much he improved in such a short amount of time." Shortly after he left the park.

Sitting on the desk, he grabbed a snack while scrolling through numerous sites. He just got out of the shower after inspecting his body in the mirror most of his wounds had magically disappeared. Could it have been the system assisting him?
He browsed through the new sites and saw a live broadcast of the news reporting about multiple rifts in the sky. His mouth didn't stop chewing and his eyes kept on to the sight of his laptop screen.
"A rift in the sky!?."
He was left speechless not knowing how to anticipate if more creatures would come out of the rift. He didn't know whether he was the only person who knew what was about to happen. Should he head back home? Or should he ignore it? But for some reason, he was sure about one thing.
He glanced at the night sky hoping to catch a glimpse of a storm. But thankfully, the rift hadn't grown large enough. He took out his smartphone and watched a few videos posted on the internet. The rifts around the globe were similar to what he saw the prior night. He couldn't help but imagine what kind of monsters would appear out of that rift.
A new idea ran through his mind. Aidans smiled as he was staring at his laptop.
On the screen was a shopping website catering to numerous items throughout the whole world. You could purchase anything from this site and for Aidan, he found what he wanted to buy. His finger clicked the buy button without hesitation. On the screen, showed his desired purchases.
