Ryan was just pulling down the street that Emilia lived on when he could see her mom from a distance. She was just about to get into her mini van.
The house Emilia lived in was a 2 floor modern house with a porch out front and a tree on the front lawn. The front lawn that was a decent size, had a small stone path that lead to the front door from the small driveway that could fit only one car with no problems. The driveway was on the front right side of the house near the living room windows.
She was about to pull out of the driveway when she noticed a car pulling up to the front of the house. Noticing that Ryan was driveing she looked at the time and decided to see what he was doing here.
After turning her mini van off and getting out she was greeted by the seen of Ryan and Kana getting out the front while Emilia, Brooke, and Trish got out the back.
After geting out of the car he could see Ms. Ren, Emilia's mom walking over so he greeted her with a small smile.
"Good morning Ms. Ren"
Hearing him greet her so politely made Ms. Ren smile.
After seeing her daughter standing not to far away with the others she took on a serious tone and narrowed her eyes a little.
"Emilia you should of told me you asked Ryan to give you a ride home. I was just about to head over that way myself."
As if thunder struck in Brooke and Trish's head they both pulled out their phones almost immediately and started calling their own parents.
Seeing this, Ms. Ren shook her head while letting out a sigh and looked twords Ryan again.
"I'm sorry to have of troubled you with bringing Emilia home."
Not really expecting Ms. Ren to apologize as this wasn't actually Emilia's fault and actually was his for not even considering that they might all have rides planned. He decided to tell her the truth.
"Actualy I think im the one who should apologize as I wasnt thinking when i decided to bring them all home."
Ms. Ren looked from Ryan to her daughter to see if she could get a little more information as his reply was not what she expected. She also wanted to know why he would 'decide to bring them all home'.
Noticing her mothers look that asked 'what did you do'. Emilia hastily tried to clear the situation up as she didnt want her mothers mind to run wild. The thought of that happening alone made her almost have a panic attack.
While Ryan silently watched Emilia explain to her mom what happened. Brooke and Trish both ended their phone calls with a sigh as if they just dodged a bullet. They then joined everyone who was several feet away as they had initially stepped away to make the phone calls.
It was only after finaly understanding the situation did Ms. Ren look at Ryan worldlesly. Not entirely sure what to say to the young man standing in front of her. Should she thank him again or hug him for being so thoughtful and kind. Ms. Ren didn't truely know so she just stood there pondering while looking twords him.
She noticed 2 cars pulling up to the curb after a few minutes of just staring at Ryan. Ms. Ren's stare was starting to make Ryan feel a little uncomfortable but thankfully after seeing the cars she stoped looking at him.
As she watched the people that got out of the cars she noticed it was none other than Brooke and Trish's mothers. They only lived a few streets away so it was understandable that they got here so fast. Even Kana and Ryan lived close as it was only a 15 minute drive from where they were right now for them to make it home.
Ms. Heiwen, Brooke's mother was the first to walk over with Ms. Naedan who was Trish's mother following behind shortly after. Ms. Ren decided to meet them halfway and started talking with them in a up beat tone and a smile on her lips that made her cheeks puff up albeit only slightly.
Ryan and the four girls could hear the conversation and noticed that Ms. Ren was explaining why their own daughter's had caught a ride with him and his sister.
Brooke and Trish both felt a little better as they didnt want to feel the motherly stare while trying to explain everything.
As Ryan watched he could see their expressions change from a smile to that of worry and then finaly to that of relief. This all happend over the span of the next couple of minutes throught the explanation.
Ryan thought that the look of worry was a little odd as there was cops all over the place near the store so they all would of been completely fine. However that was his misunderstanding as he has never been out shopping when there is only a limited quantity of items or big bargain sales before and didnt know how bad some people could act and how irrational they could be when they knew someone elts got what they wanted and was not far away. All three of them had seen the long line of people waiting the priveous night and could only imagine what will happen when the store finally runs out.
Ryan had gone back to the car to grab his newly acquired bag and was back with the others when the mother's stoped chatting and started walking twords them.
Ms. Heiwen and Ms. Naedan both thanked Ryan similarly to that of how Ms. Ren had done before.
They then looked twords their daughter's to say they would being going home so the girls could get some sleep. Of course they also knew that was not what the girls had planed but it wouldnt hurt to try and convince them once they got home since they were up all night.
Ryan After hearing the two's declarations put down his bag and nealed next to it. He started taking out the VR case's and handed one to Brooke, Trish, And Emilia completely leaving them in a daze as they didnt expect to receive one of the VR versions and only expected to receive the game.
Emilia was the first to try and say something but the only thing that came out of her lips was a question that sounded a little sheepish.
"Are you sure?"
Ryans reply was very simple and reasonable as he zipped the bag back up after putting the game cases in a position so they wouldnt be jostled around much with the newly acquired space and stood from a nealing position and held his bag again.
"Its not like I can give only one of you the headset and the others only the game so it's fine, and its not like me or Kana intended to buy anything but the game in the first place."
This left the girls speechless because it sounded like this was his plan from the very beginning.
The next to speak wasnt one of the girls but Ms. Ren.
"Ryan arnt those expensive? Should you really be giving them away so easly."
Both Ms. Heiwen and Ms. Naedan had the same thoughts and wanted to ask the same thing but were beaten to the punch.
Although understaing their concerns Ryan didnt think it was a big problem.
"Just think of it as a gift."
Noticing no hesitation in his voice when he replied Ms. Ren, Ms. Heiwen, and Ms. Naedan all wanted to say they would go get the money to pay him for it at least but Kana grabed his arm and started draging him away to the car they came in.
"Brother lets go home so we can play already! Mom should be making breakfast and if we take to long it will get cold."
Not resisting at all, Ryan was draged all the way to the car by his wrist. Almost being pushed into the drivers seat after Kana opened the dore. He started the car while waiting for her to also get in, Ryan readjusted his body in the seat as he was still a little crooked and also put his bag in the back seat as well.
When Kana was about to get into the car she spoke loud enough for the others to hear.
"I'll talk to you girls later and don't worry about paying my brother back because he won't accept it. It's just the way he is."
After saying something Kana's friends already knew very well as he always was that way to them in the past as well. Making them snacks or just being kind to them with no reason when they would stay over and never expected them to return the favor.
Opening the passengers side door Kana got in and told Ryan with a smile.
"Let's go."
