Driving home Ryan just listened to the music on the radio and Kana was doing something on her phone.
As they pulled onto their street Kana started to talk to him while still looking at her phone.
"Ryan how do you feel about my friends joining us"
The question was out of the blue and he didnt fully understand what she was asking.
"What do you mean?"
"Like playing with us."
"You mean in Abandoned Kingdom's Online?"
"What else would I be talking about?"
Pondering for a moment he realized how dumb he was being.
"Sorry, I must be more tired than I initialy thought."
"So what do you think?"
Not needing to think about it he replyed how he honestly thought.
"I dont mind. Why do you ask?"
Pulling into the driveway of there house he turned off the car. Kana replyed while unbuckling her seat belt.
"They have been asking why I couldnt play with them and when i told them it was because I was going to play with you, they asked why we all couldnt just play together."
"I just didnt know how you would feel about it so I told them I would have to talk with you."
Ryan just looked at her to see her looking at him with a worried expression. Letting out a small chuckle to try and loosen the mood.
"I have known those 3 for how long now? 5... No, 6 years. I know they are your friends and I don't know how they consider me. However to me they are just as important to me as you and mom."
Although saying this out loud, he himself didnt even realize that he felt this way about them till now when he just started speaking without thinking. He always justifys doing things for the 3 as doing it because they were his sisters friends but now he isnt sure if thats the case.
"Look at me. I must be really tired considering im not even sure of what im saying anymore."
Pausing for a moment, he continued.
"I will go take a nap in my room first before anything else."
With that he took the bag out of the back and headed inside.

Sitting there with a smile on her face. Kana knew he was only trying to cover up what he said with a excuse. Looking back to her phone she started typing into a group chat.
Kana [You wont believe what Ryan just said to me!]
Brooke [What did he say?]
Emilia [Did he say it was alright if we join him to play?]
Trish [Wait! I thought we would be playing with him no mater what he said?]
Emilia [Well that is the plan but its still nice to know if he is ok with it.]
Trish [Ohhh... Yeah, it would be nice!]
Emilia [So what did he say?]
Trish [I want to know as well!]
Kana [He said you all were just as important to him as me and my mom.]
Brooke [Wait a minute! He really said that! Your not joking with us right?]
Trish [OMG! Really??? Can you tell him its the same for me!]
Emilia [....]
Brooke [Did you need to type that out Emilia?]
Emilia [Well what am i suppose to say! I mean, I'm happy that he feels that way but... I'm not good with this stuff ok!]
Brooke [Then you say exactly that! You say what he said makes you happy.]
Brooke [Anyways. Kana, im warning you right now that if your just joking with us im coming over there to beat you up.]
Kana [I'm not joking. He tried to play it off as being tired but I know what he said is how he truely feels.]
Emilia [But what if he was truely just tired?]
Kana [He wouldnt treat you the way he dose if he didnt feel that way. Im sure of it!]
Brooke [So did he say anything elts?]
Kana [He said it was fine if we all play together.]
Brooke [I mean about his feelings but it is good to know he dosnt mind us playing with him.]
Trish [Yay! I cant wait to play with Ryan.]
Kana [He wasnt sure how you all feel about him. Do you think I should show him our group chat? it would clear things up. ;) ]
Emilia [Please don't.]
Brooke [Kana I swear if you do that, I will kill you.]
Kana [HeHeHe. Fine, I'll keep my mouth shut.]
Trish [Why would him seeing this chat be a problem?]
Brooke [Do you want him to see all the things you said you want to do to him Trish? if so we can have Kana show him the chat.]
Kana [Hold on, I'll screen shot it and send it to him.]
Trish [Wait!]
Trish [Please dont send him or show him anything!]
Brooke [You see why it would be a problem now Trish?]
Trish [Yes.]
Emilia [Kana?]
Kana [Dont worry Emilia. I was joking.]
Closing the group chat so she can go in to get something to eat, Kana finally got out of the car and locked the doors.
Walking from the driveway that was to the left of the house and following the small stone path Kana entered into the house. She could see her mom sitting at the dinner table with a bunch of food in small dishes and three plates set and ready to be used.
The living room and dinning room were both connected as a open floor concept on the right as she walked in the front door so it was easy to see her mom. Kana also noticed that hanging on the railing to her left that lead up stairs to the bedrooms was the bag Ryan had brought in. Heading in a strait line and into the kitchen by rounding the corner around a support beam to grab some milk, Kana could see her mother over the counter that blocked it off from the dinning room. Avoiding the small island counter to help with prepairing foods and providing more space to put things on, she grabed a glass and took milk out of the fridge to pour herself a cup.
After putting the milk away and moving around the counter Kana noticed that she could see the bathroom door wide open with the light still turned on. The bathroom was directly across from the kitchen and was just big enough for a bath and shower along with a sink and toilet.
Haveing noticed her brothers absence before when she entered the house Kana finaly decided to ask.
"Mom, did Ryan decide not to eat?"
Sitting down in front of one of the plates Kana started loading up her plate with French toast and eggs and cheese. After putting syrup on her French toast, she grabed her fork about to eat.
"He said he wasnt hungry and went up stairs. Did something happen? Normaly he loves to sit and talk with us while eating on my days off."
Replying and then asking a question of her own, Kana decided to tell her about everything that happened this morning. Even their conversation in the car before he went into the house.
Kana and her mom always shared almost everything. To say they were close was a understatement.
"I see. So he bought your friends something expensive and then said something like that."
"Mom is that really what your going to focus on out of everything i told you?"
Kana was eating and only responded as she found what her mom said weird.
"Well of course. I have to be aware of who my future daughter in law might be!"
What her mother said made her start to caugh as she swallowed food down the wrong hole from shock. Only after stoping her coughing fit by drinking some milk did she scream.
"MOM! Their my friends!"
Laughing at her Daughter's reaction, she only smiled and went back to eating. Asking more about Kana's night they talked while eating their breakfast.
