Chapter 3 - Tactical Goddess

Everyone who played Pure Aim knew who she was. She was the tactical goddess who stomped her way through the competitive scene. Outplaying the best players of SpaceCraft 2 using never seen before tactics.

Hardly any team in the league has beaten her team in a five on five situation due to the fact that Su Mingyu was able to spot their plan at a glance. In order to have a chance at winning, they would have to lure her into a one on one situation where Su Mingyu wouldn't be able to help her side. Nonetheless, it was still scary going against her in any situation.

"The Tactical Goddess, Su Mingyu." one of the students said in awe.

The professor smiled and nodded towards Su Mingyu. "There's no need to introduce yourself since it seems everyone already knows who you are."

Su Mingyu laughed. "I'm not surprised since the media has been talking about me a lot lately about my tactics and skills. Though, I don't think they're that impressive."

"How could you say that!" one of the students exclaimed with tears in the corners of their eyes. "That was the first time I've seen someone outplaying one of the best Pure Aim teams in the world! I don't think I'd be able to think of a play like that even if I played Pure Aim throughout my entire life."

"Su Mingyu, I think you're forgetting that there's a wide gap in the students and you." the professor commented.

"Ah, I apologize for that."

Li Xin replayed the student's words in his mind. If it was him, would he be able to think of a plan that was able to wipe out the entire enemy team with one ability? It was hard to say for sure since they were masters at two different games.

Now, it was Dong Hai's turn to speak up.

"Professor, why don't we get to the action already. I'm sure the students are excited to see Su Mingyu play because I am."

All of the students nodded in agreement.

Su Mingyu made a helpless smile and said, "Alright, which computer am I going to use?"

It was the Professor's turn to smile. "The best one of course."

Soon enough, Su Mingyu sat on the gaming chair and was setting the game up. Li Xin and Dong Hai were lucky enough to be directly behind her so they both could see her hand movements and screen clearly.

"Now then, let's start!" Su Mingyu said as she stretched her arms.

The computer screen flashed with the words "Match Start!" flashed across it. Su Mingyu's character, "Tactical Goddess," spawned with her four other teammates.

"As a BattleMage, it's better for me to stick with the MainDamageCarry but we're going to ignore that and go solo." Su Mingyu said.

"Why? Isn't it better to stick with the MainDamageCarry?" Dong Hai asked with confusion in his tone. "He has the highest chance of killing the opponents and winning the game."

"You're not wrong there, but you're forgetting one thing. BattleMages also have high damage potentials with large AOE* spells and I know the strengths and weaknesses of a BattleMage since I've played as one for a long time."

With that said, Su Mingyu's character strayed from her teammates and headed towards another area.

Before entering, she stopped and said, "I'm going to infiltrate their area" and continued moving on.

As she wanders through the now infiltrated area, a dark shadow suddenly dashes through the air and disappears into the grass.

Seeing this, she prepared a wide magic spell to cover the area.

"I see. Because the BattleMage's biggest weakness is the Assassin, Su Mingyu prepared a spell beforehand so that the Assassin wouldn't be able to kill her that easily." Li Xin murmured under his breath as he examined the situation displayed on the screen.

Li Xin was slowly getting more and more fascinated with the game, everything seemed more advanced than SpaceCraft 2. He was snapped out of his thoughts when the screen flashed once again.

She had activated a spell.

On the screen, Tactical Goddess had purple streaks of sparks swirling around her hand. In front of her, a huge tornado surrounded by the same sparks was pulling the surroundings towards the center where she stood.

In the midst of everything that was being sucked into the tornado, a figure with a dark cloak draped around their shoulders could be seen spinning along with the objects in the tornado.

"Oh!" one of the students exclaimed. "You got him!"

"If it was any other BattleMage, the Assassin would've won the fight. However, he's unlucky that he went against me." Su Mingyu said as she pressed on her keyboard.

While the Assassin was trying to escape the tornado, She cast another spell rendering him unable to do so.

A quick purple flash of lightning struck where the Assassin was located as a message was displayed across the computer screen.

"Nice!" the students exclaimed.

While the students were amazed by Su Mingyu, Li Xin felt like the tactic was too simple. What she did, he felt like he could also have done the same thing considering everything seemed simple.

But he was proven wrong.

"Students, do you know what Su Mingyu did?" the professor asks.

"I do! She casted a tornado spell to pull the Assassin in and then used the lightning bolt to kill him!"

Li Xin thought the same thing, but her answer made him think differently.

"You're not wrong, but there's more to it than just casting a tornado spell and striking him down with a lightning bolt." Su Mingyu chuckled and continued, "I've played against many Assassin players before, therefore, I know a lot about their abilities like the one I killed was using. Stealth, a skill that makes their movement silent, increases their agility, but also decreases their health overtime."

Su Mingyu drank some water before speaking again. "When I arrived at the area, the Assassin was already there before me with the ability active. That's when I knew I already had the advantage since I had full health and he didn't. The BattleMage I use has an overpowered combination attack, it's the tornado you saw and the lightning bolt. If I use both of them with the right timing, it can deal an incredible amount of damage as well as bonus attack damage."

"Wait! So you're saying just two spells killed the Assassin?!" one of the students who was shocked asked.

"With his health already depleted, of course." Su Mingyu replied.

This left the students speechless and in awe. Even Dong Hai stood still and looked like he still hadn't processed everything.

Li Xin stared at the screen that displayed her ongoing match. He knew the plan wasn't that simple considering it was coming from Su Mingyu herself. He couldn't help but be amazed and also excited.

"Now let's see you guys play a round."
