The day was gloomy and sky wasn't also helping matters, it was dark because of the heavy rain but that didn't bother Artemis as she stood in front of her grandma's headstone, weeping and weeping, she felt a hand on her shoulder and she looked up to see the good looking doctor Leonard smiling at her, she returned it with a bitter one and looked back at the headstone.
Ever since her parent's death when she was at the age of seven, it had been dark ever since. She spent her every birthday in a gloomy looking orphanage which had been torturous all through until she turned fifteen, she was so happy when got a guardian and when she was finally out of the orphanage. Artemis loved her and Grandma Mabel loved her too even her health was deteriorating, she still did not stop loving her and Artemis was taking care of her but now, she had no one else but herself.
Artemis kept crying until she was alone, she wiped her tears and headed home. She had cried so much that her eyes were red and swollen and all she wants to do is to sleep and not wake up until grandma Mabel wakes her up for pie, she laughed bitterly at herself as she approached the door and entered the old house.

"Aargh!... What the hell is that?", she cussed and groaned as her sleep was disturbed by noises and whispers coming from the living room window since she slept on the couch, she stood up and peeked,
"Come on dude, the girl is inside, I think her granny just died and she's alone, so whadya say, huh?", a guy in black said to a his reluctant friend.
"I don't know Fred, you know she's just mourning her granny and she may also escape from us like last time", said the reluctant guy with a cigarette in his mouth as he took a puff and blew it out of his nose.
"Oh no!, Not this guys again, I can't believe I'm in this situation again", she gasped and whispered as her blue eyes darkened a few shades, she didn't want to imagine want they'll do to her once they entered, her heart almost jumped out of her chest.
"Okay... okay, I think the... the back door is always opened, I'll sneak out", she silently got down from the couch and tip toed to the kitchen but she accidentally pulled down a cup of water and she snapped her head to the door when she heard voices from outside,
"What's that?!", Fred and his friend ran to the door to open it but it was locked and they continued to push and pull the door.
Artemis panicked as she ran to the back door and tried to open the door, then the front door bursted open and the men followed her, she opened the door and bolted out and the men followed her.
She ran and ran in the thunderstorm barefooted into the woods and she could hear the men running and cussing after her and she continued to run.
Artemis reached a steep mud cliff and then she decided to run the other way but she faces the men as she pants, with her bangs sticking to her forehead.
"Hey hey... baby girl now come on, we won't hurt you, we just wanna talk like last time, there is no where else to run so just come with us and we should just have fun, hmm...", Fred said as he and his friend broke out a creepy grin.
Artemis trembled and took a step back, and all of a sudden she slipped down the steep slippery slope. The last thing she heard was a very loud roar of thunder and her vision went black.
