Chapter 11 - Chapter 10

Later that night Victoria was shown to her private room located on the other side of the castle however, it was so silent everything looked very neat and very in place. As both Victoria and the human servant continued their way to her room, she noticed many portraits on each side on all the walls that had some…how she should put it…scratchy she believes it to be.

'So many of them but they all look very beautiful,' she thought in admiration until they passed a beautiful painting of a young redheaded woman. She was dressed up in a beautiful white gown, with small eccentric pearls above the hem of her gown along with a red flower intricate on her curled up red hair in a bun. Her face was a diamond shape, her light-blue eyes staring at her like she knew u were there,

As soon as the maid stopped her tracks she turns to Victoria while saying, "These will be your quarters, for the time being, he told me to inform you."

Victoria nodded as she opened the door; she looked at the room in awe. Everything was commonly simple to her surprise, the walls were made in maroon bricks while the drapes were long maroon curtains coming from the queen size bed. It was covered in silver rose-like patterns; Victoria placed her hand over the mattress while staring back at the maid by the door although, she must admit that the maid was probably co-conscious from what she could sense. However, then the maid started acting strange, she began to look afraid and scared while blinking, Victoria, on the other hand, ran towards the door to close it while looking back at the poor girl who began to ask,

"W-who are you? And w-where am I?"

She was cut off when Victoria half-yell at her, "Calm down, please! I have sensitive hearing okay?" the maid nodded, "Good now that that's clear," she rubbed the girl's arms just like she would do to calm the children back at the orphanage she grew up in.

"What's your name?"

"Eve. I can't remember my last name…" she said sadly. Victoria shook her head in pity for the young girl in front of her. As she brought the girl to sit next to her on the mattress while both of them sat down. It was quiet for a while until Eve spoke, "I have no idea how long I've been here however, I do remember the day I became a familiar…But there was a price."

She took a deep breath as she calmly explained, "I was a poor girl before coming here, and I worked just at the border of Bloodsteel Harbor alongside my family. Then the last thing I remember was a black hooded figure offering me a special job I was suddenly knocked out and then the pain was all I felt afterward." She took a breath as she was finishing her story, "Then all of a sudden I was working for the Beauvale family since then…"

Victoria was silent throughout the whole explanation as well as comforting her with a hug as she then spoke, "It's alright. Everything is going to be fine…look at me I'm only half-human and I'm still conscious."

The young maiden stared a great look and noticed her staring at her necklace but shook her head away as she soon gathered herself and left the room without another word.

Victoria took off her boots while preparing herself a bath so she can clean herself since vampires have a good sense of smell which could bring unwanted attention. However, Andre didn't do a great job at hiding her very well.

"He should have known better than being a complete inhuman sarcastic master I have ever met. But he doesn't own me since the familiar contract doesn't work on me so that's a plus," she smirks to herself, her tone was of both annoyance and frustration. As she walked into her spacious bathroom, she did not expect this agreement to go so well that she eyed the whole place in awe and as soon as she spotted, a basket full of violet flowers already trimmed. She walked towards the white empty bathtub and turns on the golden faucet while the warm water started pouring into the tub. She soon thought back about her deal with Andre and even though she hasn't a clue why would she agree to this in the first place? Once the bathtub has been filled, she went in and lay there thinking curiously about the family. But even so, it's her closest way to figuring out the Beauvale side of the story and also the Dragonstone family

'Why is he so difficult?' she thought as she slept into a warm slumber.

Meanwhile, a serious yet unfaithful man kept the lookout for any other intruders that may pass his line of vision, he suddenly hears a hypnotic whispering voice coming from outside the castle. He at first resisted but he gave up easily as he kept walking as his eyes turned to a blank expression but then, a shadowy figure
