Chapter 14 - Chapter 13

Andre's POV:

"Words have gone around from the servants that, they plan to do their 'welcoming ceremony' for the new familiar," Paul Beauvale comments as he keeps sipping his honey blood tea. My father is both Lord and Sire of our household although, he always knew everything that goes around the mansion even as I savor one of his blood servants. "Indeed, Master Beauvale," I answered giving him a slight glance from me to my cup. You must be wondering why I call him by his title and not 'father' Well...let me explain, he was never the loving father who would encourage you when you make a mistake or the one to pat you on the head and say,

"I'm proud of you" Ha! He never showed affection to anyone other than my mother. Every time I did something right which I have always done since I was a child, he never once said anything encouraging within my childhood, just slight nods and silence. I have grown accustomed to the silence yet whenever I fail at something, my father would simply ignore me or just talk about a ton of things I am not interested in. They say actions speak louder than words but I find that hard to believe in my opinion, but that's when I started venting my emotions with my paintings, showing my pain, and emptiness into the blank canvas with everything I've got. I sell it under a different name. Even if I sell my paintings across the border I still wouldn't need my family or anyone's assistance to do it and, I'm proud of myself. I always made sure that my paintings showed the emotions I yearned for from my family, especially from my Father. I still care for him I do but, his expressionless reactions from his half-wrinkled face. His red eyes narrowed my way, which, I inherited whenever I got thirsty. Yet for some odd reason, I got my mother's bluebell eyes when in my normal state."I see that your female familiar is the topic of today, " he begins as he breathes into the aroma from his cup. He puts it down as he gazes into one of the servants' minds again to get more information without being seemingly suspicious but on my part, I don't like being nosy like my father. I prefer to straight out ask them in the face instead of hiding.

I rolled my eyes, while my voice showed annoyance, "Master Beauvale I think it's not wise to read their minds for information since we can easily drink from them." His concentration broke when he heard me. He slowly stops bringing his attention onto me while finding it hard to crack me open. I, however, was prepared. During his absence, I mastered the art of deflection, being prepared for his surprise attacks whenever we encountered each other.

"Hmph, I see you have improved well, Andre," he mutters, in turn, I was the only one to hear them even if he hadn't realized it. This made me hide my smile for the first time even if it was for a little while; I smirked knowing full well that he wanted to secretly let me know that.

Nevertheless, my attention changed to where the servants were, and realized that it was not servants who were coming in but my Mother and Lady Dragonstone. 'Gossipers of the world' I rolled my eyes at the thought. And so that is before they came to say anything to me I summoned her, "I summon thee, Victoria." with a sly smirk on my face.

Victoria's POV:

"I summon thee, Victoria." I find his annoying voice in my head. I muttered a 'no' to him but I doubted he could hear me, I wished to ignore his command but now, I had no choice in the matter. So, I took a deep breath and walked past the emotionless staff members, for which, I could tell they were having it hard covering their curiosity. I soon realize that I have no idea where I'm heading. Then, I hear a familiar sigh coming from the redhead, "Down to the courtyard you servant."

Yup! he's still calling to interrupt the gorgeous view of the Lady's garden, my neck turns to my left side making Ms. Ingerith Dunn even by her last name dark and scary in my opinion. Before I know it she has taken notice of my situation."If he is calling you, you must go. No familiar has a choice in the matter," She says while cultivating the poisonous plants I'm so thankful for Andre's calling for once. I nod while getting up from the pebbled ground brushing away from my apron and all the dirt. I went to the closest well and washed my hands so I could make a proper appearance towards him although I'm not sure why. I realize that this feeling is pretty intense.

Third Person POV:

Victoria wasn't known for obeying someone's rules back at the orphanage, she was more of a wild child most her age, but now, she is to become a dumb puppy for a goddamn egotistical vampire! "Why did I agree to this again?" she asked herself as she took another few steps up the stone stairs leading towards the backyard of the mansion and that is until her wolf hearing picked up hearing whom she thought was coming from the waterfall that stood in the way of her arrival.

"...So will any of the officials be joining us tonight?" that voice sounded very ancient and arrogant even with a bit of grumbling coming from that side.

"Yes, Master Beauvale all arrangements have been made," said the most obnoxious voice she can never forget not even for a moment.

Before Victoria could move from her spot, she decided to check on herself again just in case, when suddenly she noticed her chocolate wolf ears on her head. She cursed herself while trying to calm her ragged breath but what she didn't know was that Andre could hear her. He sighed heavily at her and muttered, "Why is she wasting my time?" quickly glancing at everyone as he began to mutter a spell,"*𝑁𝑜𝑡𝑒𝑖𝑘𝑡𝑣𝑖ņ𝑎𝑠 𝑢𝑧 𝑎𝑢𝑔š𝑢*"

Andre smirked while finishing his sip of his blood tea, making his cup clank against the coster. Victoria just wanted to murder him for making her take this stupid deal but her chances of her mission did not waver. Once she was in front of the crowd, she took notice of the 3 people around him. One had dark red hair slicked back nicely, his eyes were at the deepest shade of red, his face saying he was older than anyone in the room, even though he didn't look like it. He also wore a black waistcoat, a light grey jacket, and dark pants. The other vampires were two females, one had long messy red hair with a braided bun on the top of her head with only one thick strand of white hair intertwined with the rest of the bun. She had small wrinkles that were slightly visible on both corners of her narrowed matching red eyes and on the corners of her mouth. She had a slim neck that was covered by the silklike blue collar with a rose on it, matching her saffire dress; she also had medium-thick eyebrows that could only go with her. The last vampire on the table was a petite young girl around Victoria's age, to say the least, however, she was thin, beautiful, and gorgeous. She had short wavy white hair that could be mistaken for silver, her silver bangs covered her right eye while she could see through her aquamarine eyes. which Victoria assumed she had heterochromia. She had a round long face with a small chin, her pale hands, on top of the other, of her aquamarine dress. She did not look happy to see the familiar.

"You called, master?" said Victoria in the most elegant way possible. Surprising the two red-heads and the silver-haired maiden, not expecting a polite yet courteous. It was the elderly red-haired woman to spoke, "I see you've chosen a fine maiden as your familiar. Have you been waiting long for her blood, Andre?" Andre glances at Victoria with a smile giving away an evil glint of his now blood-red eyes. The thought of drinking her made him unconsciously lick his pale lips, which Victoria secretly found appealing for some reason.

"Why yes, mother. I had to stalk this human creature for the past few weeks, which was why I didn't follow through with my orders," his smooth voice was so perfect that the 3 vampires believed him, it was no wonder a surprise he had never lost his cool with them. Once Victoria heard this she was bemused but soon caught on to remember that if they both played their cards right, then they would have anyone looking at them suspiciously.

'Be calm, Victoria. You just need to nod and stay quiet,' thought she as she looked up to the background of the patio seeing how the whole garden looked from her perspective but soon she heard Andre speak, "This is not the time to sound so intelligent, Victoria."

'Now he is just pissing me off, how can he be so melancholy whenever I'm thinking of something intrusive, just let me slide would you?!' she yelled from her mind in case he was listening and with his stoic reaction and bared fangs told her he heard me, while she growled at him. The 3 vampires had company with were not pleased, to say the least, especially Lady Dragonstone.

"Andre, you told me that she can do any tricks if you just command her. Why don't you show us how thrilling it could be to own a pet?" her sneer wasn't hidden from the rest, yet she was sure that everyone would follow her lead hoping for that certain someone to find her intelligent. Victoria wanted nothing more but to bite her head off until Lady Dragonstone was broken begging for mercy and yet, she wasn't that cruel, she simply couldn't stand bullies.

"I would rather listen to no one but you, Lady Dragonstone. And I would simply appreciate the respect I deserve is met with the rest of us staff maids, excuse me," I curtsied, which I never do, as I walked away from the vampires and headed straight to my temporary room.
