Chapter 13 - Alethea's POV: (OCTOBER 20, 2021)

"So, you only have this much in your closet and they're not even 'date-worthy' for you to wear" Hazel complained.

I had to put on more than 35 outfits for her to see and choose on what I should wear but she just says "No, no, no, no, no, that one makes you look fat, not that one too, makes you look like a hooker for cheap hire, no, no" she says that without even looking at some of the outfits I wore.

"Well, I don't really go out much in case you haven't noticed, I don't have a lot of friends" I shrugged.

Hazel turned around from my closet and looked over to me with disgust all over her face for the outfit I'm currently wearing.

"Yeah, I noticed the number of friends you have and I can understand it. I mean I don't have that many friends too, if anything you're the first friend I made in a while. Being a rich kid doesn't really give you a lot of friends and even if they want to its because of your family, your money and all that so yeah" Hazel explained as she continues to look through my closet and heaved out a frustrating sigh before grabbing her phone.

"What are you doing?" I asked her raising my eyebrows at her.

"What?? It's time for some damage control" she simply shrugged.

While she was doing whatever it is she is doing on her phone I took the time to process what she said about her friends. Who wouldn't want to be friends with her? She is the most amazing person I know aside from my family but she does have a point. When you have fame and money, it does make it a bit more difficult to be friends with other people purely because they want to and not because of what you have. I feel sorry for her. No one deserves to be left out like that or feel like they lack something in life when its so simple.

We all go through different things in our life.

"So, I called a friend who owes me a favor and we are going to a boutique for an update on whatever you have here." She squealed over to me and started jumping up and down like a kid who just had candy or the first time.

I laughed at her excitement. Who would be excited with a change in wardrobe? Definitely Hazel here, she is so excited for it. I wonder what her wardrobe is like since she always dresses up nicely every single day.

All of a sudden, her expression went from being excited to suddenly feeling sad all of a sudden.

"What happened? Hey, are you ok?" I asked her trying to find out what's wrong with her all of a sudden.

"Uhm—you don't mind if I change everything including all the clothes here in your closet? I mean no offense sis, but you need an update on everything, even your office attire" she pouted at me begging for me to agree and how could I not. She is right, I do need a makeover.

"You know what...lets do it!" I simply said and with that she started jumping up and down again with excitement.

I quickly went to the bathroom to change my clothes and to decide what to wear.

I decided to wear casual with blue jeans, with an oversized gray t- shirt and a light blue denim jacket paired up with white vans. I went outside of the bathroom to my room and saw Hazel quickly packing up all of my clothes not missing a single one out of place and cleared out my closet.

"What on earth are you doing?" I asked her incredulously. I was only gone for 10 minutes and she cleared out my closet within that time. Damn she's fast.

"I uhm--- cleaning out your closet. I like what you're wearing anyways. You look cute but still I wasn't kidding when I said you need a makeover because you really do." she simply said as if it wasn't such a big deal to her.

"Okay, I appreciate you doing this for me but there are some clothes here that belongs to my parents and I really can't part with that yet. They're in the brown box with a purple ribbon over it---" I got cut off when I saw the brown box sitting on my bed untouched, unopened. I look back at Hazel to see her smiling softly at me with a soft expression on her face.

"I know Alethea, I wouldn't want to take away your parents' things from you." She said as she went over to hug me offering me a sense of comfort. I hugged her back and felt a little relieved that she cares. She is really good for Ben; I hope she sees that herself.

"Thank you, Hazel." I said as we both parted from our hug.

"So, we're going to drop this off at the goodwill before we go over to the mall" she said as she started packing up the last bits before attempting to carry it.

"Just because I am attempting to carry this doesn't mean that you have to stand there and not help Alethea. Get here and help me with this" she frustrated exclaimed as she pulls the heavy baggage over to the door.

I laughed and went over to help her with the baggage.

45 MINS LATER:

"Finally, we got that in the car now all we have to do is drive, drop it off and off we go to our ultimate destination" Hazel shouted with happiness as she hopped onto the driver's seat and started the car. She honked twice and yelled "Come on girl, the mall isn't going to empty itself"

I shake my head at her trying to hold in my laughter as I quickly make my way to the car not wanting another of her crazy tactics.

We quickly make our way to drop my old clothes off not without Hazel saying a dramatic sad goodbye to it.

**Sniffles** "You will be missed but it is time that you fulfill your purpose elsewhere. Let's take a moment of silence to commemorate their duty faithfully" she says as she bows her head down to have a moment of silence and I followed her actions trying to hold in my laughter.

"And now we shall depart from you in happiness knowing that you will serve your new owners well. Live well and provide warmth and comfort to those who need you." She says as she looked up and continues.

"Goodbye and farewell to all you loyal peasants." She says as she turns around and grabbed my hands and ran.

Literally RAN from there.

Why?

I asked myself. Why are we running? I laughed and ran with her to wherever she's taking me.

"Hazel. Why on earth are we running?" I asked her as soon as we stopped over at her car.

She laughed and turned towards me and simply shrugged "No reason. Just wanted to, thought it would be fun and it was" she says and continues laughing.

"Now let's get to work and get you some hot clothes. Heaven knows y'all need to get laid." She laughed out at my horror expression when she said that.

"Puhhhhlease, don't even deny it. You know my cousin is hot" she simply said as she backed the car onto the main road and started driving towards the mall.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, Hazel. Besides he's your cousin" I simply shrugged it off.

After a few minutes of us laughing and bickering at each other we finally reached the mall.

Without wasting another minute in the car, Hazel quickly got out and ran towards the mall.

Puzzled. I looked at her retreating figure and quickly went over to the driver's seat and parked the car in the parking lot before grabbing her purse, my purse and my phone as I made my way to the mall where she had.

I pulled out my phone and called her. She answered after the 3rd ring.

"Hurry up. I kind of need help over here Al" she dramatically exclaimed as I heard her fighting off a girl in the background.

'Bitch, I saw this first and I was here first and its already in my arms so better luck next time sweetheart. Be gone with you' she yelled over to whoever she's fighting with.

"Where are you?" I asked getting a little worried at her.

"Forever 21. Hurry" she yelled before she hung up.

I quickly made my way to the store and saw her with 3 trolleys, 2 of them was already full and the third one still half empty.

"Geez you're scary when you're shopping" I muttered and went along with her.

And that's how Hazel helped me with one date and ended up doing a makeover at my whole closet. And even me.
