Chapter 12.2
'I knew it was you all along,' Jun Mey calmly confirmed.
With an unwavering determination to live, she rose from the ruins her body had created despite the bleeding lips.
As she strode forward, the wind trailed behind her in thin strands, amplifying in her hands and giving the appearance of a burst of wind.
However, as the winding path approached the Omega wolf, the strands broke under the pressure of his presence. The Omega wolf alone destroyed the Wind path.
The Omega wolf struck Jun Mey, instantly appearing in front of her. Despite the hit rebounding her, the wolf's explosive strength fueled its relentless pursuit. Its emerald eyes, resembling the nemesis of all life, were the only visible feature in its moving form.
'Am I going to perish?' Jun Mey deliberately blinked her eyes twice. Blood was already gushing from her wounds, and she knew that if the brawl continued, her body wouldn't survive. To make matters worse, the wolf overpowered her with sheer physical pressure and wrath, crushing her martial prowess.
Thinking of the wolf's brutality, Jun Mey thought: 'Will the following sequence be able to beat this guy?' Deliberately smiling resignedly, she mumbled, "I don't believe so." Jun Mey calmly measured and compared the wolf's power to her martial arts. She doubted it would be enough to defeat the wolf, as she believed it had not yet shown its full strength.
With a smug, human-like laugh, the wolf said, "Regretting now that you offended a god like me?" Jun Mey remained calm, staring at the wolf without saying a word. The wolf continued, "How dare you disgrace me repeatedly? Do you sincerely think you're special?" Suddenly, the wolf transformed into Bai Fang, wearing a cunning smile.
As the smirking Bai Fang marched towards the half-dead Jun Mey, he heard a scream, which was the shriek of a Kâppa. Suddenly, with a violent cry, the Kâppa erupted.
"Who?" Bai Fang asked, his emerald eyes trembling with terror.
Bai Fang turned around, thinking about his whereabouts and the possibility of someone sneaking up on him without his knowledge. He concluded that no one could know his location because he knew he had been following the girl without anyone else's knowledge.
As Chi An marched out, blood stains covered his face, and his terrific sanguine eyes created horror in Bai Fang's spirit, despite his appearance remaining unchanged.
Barely seeing Chi An with blurry vision, she said: "I wanted you to be the one who appeared before me." Jun Mey collapsed after that mumbling.
"Why are you here?" Bai Fang's whole body shook with terror as he recognized the meaning behind those bloody sanguine eyes.
The surviving Kâppas exploded when Chi An unveiled his entire body to the light.
Seeing that action, Bai Fang curled up. He said, 'How could he...? I didn't see his movement.' After finishing with Jun Mey, he planned to deal with Chi An, but seeing Chi An's unfathomable strength, fear of death took over his thoughts. As he looked at Chi An, Bai Fang's face paled like a sickly person, and he felt a particular sense of dread without any apparent reason. Bai Fang regretted not recognizing this strangeness earlier.
'I can't win him,' Bai Fang thought, quickly turning back to run. He transformed his body into a night wolf, surrounded by black smoke-like shadows, and his eyes glowed in ochre and emerald.
